It works. Doesn't always end in a close, but a conversation always ensues. Granted, I'm fairly attractive and so are the friends I wingman for. But it is one of the best bar moves when you're simply playing the numbers game. Also, it is an easy way to break into a group, which is at times hard to do. I.E.
