-7	According to Wikipedia female circumcision is “mutilation” and a “ritual” and male circumcision is just a medical procedure. I am aware. But broadening the term to include things like that would make it meaningless, so why would you want to do that? We all know clitorectomy is what people mean when they say FGM. I don’t see the utility of “well actually” if our goal is to stop genital mutilation. I’m not sure why some people in this thread want to downplay FGM either.
