Apparently it goes all the way up to /r/beatingwomen9 , but all the series fans agree that it took a steep dive in quality after /r/beatingwomen3

You should watch the HBO series OZ. Basically you get a sentence and then you get a possibility of parole in X number of years, in this case the sentence was 25 years and the possibility of parole was in 8 years, and you had lazy journalists looking for a sensationalist headline.

Is this a clever ruse to make people believe you're a scorpion or are you actually a scorpion?

But we did get there eventually, and that's the important part

But it wasn't tuned to select the most qualified, the way it was trained it was looking for specific buzzwords. They trained an AI to alert a recruiting officer to look at the resume when certain buzzwords appeared. I don't know that we ever got the specifics on the post mortem on it, but it could have only been people that had the word "fraternity" in their resume. Amazon declined to comment on the technology’s challenges, but said the tool “was never used by Amazon recruiters to evaluate candi…

As I said, this conversation would be different if either you or I were scorpions. But we aren't, are we?

Let me put it this way: Since you've spent your time wasting my time by begging the question instead of even attempting to understand what is going wrong with AI tuning and training... we can safely conclude that your resume would not have been selected.

No, its an example of bad AI tuning because it wasn't looking deeper than what was on the resume, and in the game of human capital there is no telling what it overlooked due to that AIs limited viewpoint. They also didn't control for the opinion of the people feeding the AI, who tailored the data to be fed to it.

Because harvestable plants tend not to grow in arctic climates. In the story of Goldilocks... you and the rest of humanity are Goldilocks. Too hot or too cold and your food chain breaks down.

This isn't an example of pussy pass denied, they fed ai a bunch of resumes from their highest performing employees and as such it was basically looking for men. It's an example of poor reward tuning in ai

Geothermal activity or some manner of astronomical detritus or mayhaps IT'S THAT GIANT GLACIER IN YOUR PICTURE MELTING OVER TIME.

The problem isn't relative oxygen concentration, it's that the greenhouse gases make things hotter over time, and the heat results in gradual desertification and you don't hear about arctic scorpions, do you? They all live in hot climates primarily. So here's an idea, if you're going to use easily debunkable arguments about climate change could y'all at least do what you can to normalize eating scorpions? Like maybe have one with your evening meal.

Sure did. But unless you're a scorpion or happened to believe that I'm a scorpion, then comparisons to the cambrian period about about as useless as nuts on a truck.

Ah yes, the CAMBRIAN period back when the most complex lifeforms were arthropods. Its a wonderful argument if you're trying to terraform the planet for a race of scorpions.

In the scientific community climate change is the consensus. Its the consensus because the climate is changing. Even in the most right wing circles of science they agree that climate change is happening. What the debate presently is, to be precise, is if the climate change is anthropogenic and to what degree. And even then a lot of that is quibbling over what can be considered anthropogenic, such as the mass farming of cows contributing to an excess of methane (a greenhouse gas) in our atmospher…

My brother got 33 and 2/3rds years for murder in the first and I still feel like the judge was using kid gloves for that sentence.

I agree with this but I wouldn't mind a spy thriller written by a woman with a female mc. Instead we'll probably just get a reboot of murder she wrote.

Add on to this, if she did this to adults there wouldn't have been any sentence at all.

Few things about that, Genital mutilation is a sex crime and child abuse in that context. They can mutilate their genitals when they are adults. A covenant with God can't be formed before you know God, and since children don't know much of anything their self supported religious ritual is bogus when performed on children.

Is there a robot catalog somewhere we could look at? Really just interested in some help cleaning the damned house.

Really tho, if you can afford robots, why not get one robot to clean and do laundry and dishes and another one to have sex with if you're into robot sex?

Nope. Not buying that any part of the United States prison system is about keeping society safe.

False. Prison is about two things. Retribution and rehabilitation. Isolation is the effect though.

Want to know who else was related to djengis khan? Most of the mongol horde. Here is a picture of how much territory the mongol horde controlled. http://images.clipartpanda.com/extent-clipart-k25704538.jpg I'm going to conservatively place that at around 20% of the earth. Of those 450 million people, the mongol empire housed over 100 million. djengis rules for a little over 1 generation, and as I said most of the mongol horde, at least initially, was related to him even if it was a distant relat…

I'm not part of the party here but I'm going to recite the facts as they have been reported to me, to you. Ok, so Tomi was hired by a far right publication who was trying to cultivate a far right evangelical audience. She ran a show with the same production sensibilities as glenn beck or alex jones. After several months she gets invited on The View. On The View she explains her stance on abortion (e.g. its hard to advocate for states rights and personal freedom and still say that government shou…

Well, one is mutilating a baby's genitals and the other is... still mutilating a baby's genitals. Admittedly the female one is a bit more labor intensive but they're both the mutilation of genitals for no good reason so you have your equivalence and it is not a false one.

This is what women actually believe. I had to fight my ex-wife to see my kid six days per month. That isn't a typo.

Well, no, because according to the framers it is better that 10 guilty men walk free than one innocent man sit in prison. The framers also did not consider the amount of rape in prison, but if you use that ratio, its one rape of an innocent man is worth 10 rapes of a guilty man, so thats like 70,000 rapes. If you take into account that the false accusation rate is closer to 8%, then you have the number closer to 800,000 rapes. So by that math that SleepingSheeple is working with, those 920 rapes…
