If you take a look at romantic fiction, a troubled chad whom the protagonist can save from himself is a much more popular trope than kind, sensitive guys. Not saying that this translates 1:1 to real life dating, but there's a reason why this trope is so popular among women.

"Be emotionally available" is like the most basic disqualifying test to weed out the suckers who fall for it. Also, good vs. bad is a very reductive way of looking at things. Most people are just trying to get by.

Examining what people do as opposed to what they say is basic critical thinking that used to be taught in schools. The Five Ws: who, what, when, where, why and how. You can't ask people to be willfully ignorant and take everything they hear at face value. Also, it's not misogynistic since applies to men as well as women.

No, it's more like a social commentary about peoples' actual preferences as opposed to their stated preferences. An attractive dude can get away with stuff like dating several women at the same time and all of them will tolerate it. Despite the constant outrage, personality just doesn't matter that much in dating.

For 80-90% of people, the preferences are generally the same. Why would you care about what the counterculture fringe thinks?

Money, looks and status have universal appeal.

Even if you have fantastic friendships with women, it's still going to red pill you. You just have one discussion about male celebrities with them and you will instantly realize that all of blue pill rhetoric is complete nonsense.

Why should anyone care about someone else's lived experience? People know their own lived experience and they know what works for them. If something else works for you, great! The red pill is popular because it works for many young men.

Red pill content resonates with young men because they observe those behaviors even before attempting to start dating. Having female friends will red pill you more than the actual red pill content itself.

Actually it was exactly the dumb kind of thing that you would say in the heat of the moment when you are being authentic and not reading off a teleprompter.

They all talk in carefully pre-planned soundbites. It's the opposite of authentic.

Authenticity is very important. JD Vance just sounds like a normal dude when he talks, as does Elon Musk.

That's not where the complaints about "DEI hires" are coming from. The complaints are about companies prioritizing ESG and DEI over delivering a good product, which results in subpar video games and movies. Like the recent Dragon Age: The Veilguard fiasco.

It's not anti-men, it's just not appealing to many men.

And the other hand you had Elon Musk talking about video games. I wonder which side was more popular among young men.

They could start by going on the Joe Rogan show instead of dodging it.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
