It really is a mistake to think you've got all women figured out (due to biology or whatever). I'm 110% sure some women do see men as ATMs. I'm not one of those women and have yet to personally meet another woman who focuses on that. Women are far from a monolith.

I think I understand where you're coming from, at least to an extent, but I'd still have to say that looks do matter, imo. Being physically attracted to someone is usually a component of a romantic connection. I'm not saying how you look or dress is paramount above all, but how you look/dress on a consistent basis is at least partly an expression of how much or how little you invest in yourself: the physical part of you is still a part of you.
