I'm not going to let some a guy's opinion or their application of FDS principles deter me from being the best I can be. Let them do what they want.

Guys who care will put in the effort. Simple as that.

First of all, I love how you write! I like how you go through multiple possible realities of the innuendos in my comments. To me it reflects on being open-minded and being a critical thinker! I also feel like with my 'all-over-the-place' brain, it's easier for me to digest your writing than most other styles. Alright, just for the record, I was just trying to be understanding and if it came off as sarcastic/snarky, that wasn't my intent - not that I'm implying you are bothered by it in any way. …

It was amazing! I had an awesome experience! My comment btw was in reference to the blunt nature of many israelis which can often come off as rude to other countries.

Ah, I see. Anyway... thanks, you really made my day. I was upset about what transpired. And you've inspired me to stick up for myself and not refrain from speaking my mind even when others pressure me not to.

Are you down for a debate about this or do you want me to accept your view as factual? I am asking because I am not sure if you want me to respond with my thoughts on what you said, or if you prefer I back down. Side note... I feel it is somewhat comical how you have failed to address my point about the sidebar ...twice now.

Thanks. I honestly felt compelled to edit my post. I appreciate you empathizing with the criticism I received. At times I feel like I must censor my speech and walk around on eggshells when making posts or comments. I don't believe anything in my original post was shaming towards women. However, I do believe in making peace... so I did as I was told :)

Hey, I appreciate that. While it does seem we disagree a little bit, I see we are generally on the same side of things. I appreciate you! As humans, we tend to get defensive when we are criticized (I am guilty of that for sure!). I'm happy we can still respect each other and be awesome to each other :) You're awesome, queen!

In a feminist context, it can indicate a strong or assertive woman. Words have history and reappropriation. Modern use can vastly differ from how it once was used. Feel free to check out the history of the word. Again, if you feel it is wrong and misogynistic, take your argument to the moderators as I have only adopted the term they use in the sidebar.

I'm so sorry you feel that way. I didn't realize it came off that way. So queen, I have a question, what do you feel about the way the moderators of this subreddit refer to all of us as 'bitches' in the sidebar? Honestly it's troubling and offensive that you portray me as such. I am just speaking my thoughts. To claim that I am dehumanizing you by using certain words that this subreddit uses all the time, is really rude for you to say of me. We both know it isn't out of malice. Even if I did mak…

I love that message so much! I appreciate how it serves as a support in that way. Your comment showed me how these posts actually contribute to the support in a major way! Thanks for sharing that eye-opening perspective.

Wow, it's like you're reading my mind. I appreciate how you showed value in both sides of the coin and how wholesome your comment is. You have perfectly expressed how I feel about the being mentally drained part especially. Thank you so much for empathizing, it means a lot that I'm not alone.

What happened each their own and freedom of speech? I get what you mean, but not everyone is at the same stage of their journey and/or recovery and thus different people find different things appropriate at different points in time! I see what you're saying. I think you are correct and that people reading this post should decide if it's right for them or not. This was just something I was thinking about. I don't mean to force anyone. How is it empowering for women to advocate against telling som…

It's not easy to diagnose people with NPD. More likely the studies are mostly accurate and you and your friend have just dealt with a shitton of self-centered insensitive douchebags (Which yeah there's a lot out there lol so if our including them the percentage is probably in the high 30s at least hahaha)
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/04/20 10:07 PM

Your findings alone aren't sufficient to have any conclusive results. Don't forget to take into account selective bias, the fact that self-centeredness is an ugly trait and only one factor of NPD, and that people in general are mostly thinking about themselves (as well as many other reasons that anecdotal evidence is meaningless). To have NPD is one thing. To be a self-centered insensitive douchebag is entirely different.

Sounds like NPD. I don't believe it's an exclusive male disorder but I believe it's more prevalent in them. Edit: (7.7% - men, and 4.8% of women according to a 2008 finding.)

Can't speak for you. Where I live we are discouraged from even leaving the house unless absolutely necessary. If it's safe to do so, I'd say go ahead but don't do anything you aren't comfortable with.

Rating people's looks is a disgusting habit that needs to stop. "She's like a 4/10" and "You think she's a 10??? nah she's 8 or 9 at most!" are comments I hear guys saying way too often. It's so distasteful.

Is this fake? his looks his height he's retired his fucking scooter and then I absolutely lost it when he mentioned his arthritic pain. Hey, all sympathy goes to him, he doesn't seem like a bad person but seriously?! him with her? this has to be staged.

I like the first line. This should be obvious at this point if you browse through FDS or use common sense. I think this subreddit can be summed up in 4 words. YOU. ARE. WORTH. IT. I understand many people struggle to believe this about themselves. But once you realize this and internalize this and genuinely believe it, I reckon 99% of your relationship questions/issues will disappear.

I guess they have to draw the line somewhere. There's always going to be shitty people on the internet along with offensive communities. Reddit draws the line at quarantining/banning communities/users that posts content that is: illegal Is involuntary pornography Is sexual or suggestive content involving minors Encourages or incites violence Threatens, harasses, or bullies or encourages others to do so Is personal and confidential information Impersonates an individual or entity in a misleading …

I love this post. Very solution oriented. Everyone needs support. We are often divided (and usually resulting from petty reasons). Let's stand together. Support, and encourage each other to be our best, true selves!

Something I've learned recently about guys is that often they don't know how to read situations or approach them with any sort of empathetic tact. This guy here seems to be slightly narcissistic. Although, it seems from what you've explained that you've experienced this type of behavior from him on multiple occasions. Don't settle for less - you know what to do sis! Sidenote, do what's important to you. If you value your career, then the people who supposedly care about you should encourage that…

I'd personally rather just end the relationship immediately instead of stooping to his level to manipulate him. I mean it's what he'd deserve, so I see the point, but I just don't got time to waste with such abuse. It would disgust me every moment he's around me. I wonder when guys are gonna stop quarantining us into distinct categories with assigned roles. Like seriously what is this?

I still can't figure out why so many guys think it holds so much value and contribution to a relationship. Like I'm asking seriously, does anyone know the psychology of why the attach so much value to it?

It's odd to me how some people's idea of a relationship is a "chore" or "task" they never wanted. If you don't wanna put work into the relationship you're currently in, either: It's not the right person for you, get out of that relationship ASAP You have the wrong idea of what a relationship is supposed to be like / need some maturing.

I think that's more about rationalizing his obvious bad behavior/habits. Glad you're out of that unhealthy relationship. Keep staying strong!

Not suuuure... I know some girls who have vented to me that they're actually upset that someone who they like doesn't ever save any pics of them. It could be their insecurity talking or maybe they just wanted to feel appreciated? Dunno. Either way, everyone is different and I think you should definitely express to him that it bothers you. Communication is key. Don't let any guy ever make you feel uncomfortable, sis!
