Great advice man. I found out I don't share many interests with my friends after high school anymore But I can't just cut them off right away. We had a great time before and now everything is about some boring trivial shit in their lives and we don't hang out much anymore because they have girlfriends to care. This feeling of distance sucks man.

I guess this is the part of western culture I've been having trouble understanding. Why does society, especially media, look down nerds? Nerds invest their time in subjects they're interested in and become knowledgeable at said subjects, which I find really respectable and fascinating. I guess the word equivalent to nerds is smart? I am not smart so I really respect smart people. Somehow women and some men laugh at nerds. Really strange.
