| 1 | a man's real worth.I read an interesting article that linked the feminism movement to gadgets and home appliances. It used to take women all day to do the household chores. Now, you just put laundry into the machine and press a button. Same with the dishes. Same with an oven. Swiffer mops and pledge make cleaning faster and stay clean longer. The role of a woman is no longer as necessary. So they needed to argue their worth/contribution to a family instead of it being self apparent.
