1	Question about assets Eh, the courts don’t see it as your hard earned money. It was earned while you were married so it is marital property. Depending on state law, she could be entitled to 50% of all assets acquired during the marriage, including your savings. She could agree to less though, that is her choice. It really sucks, I know. But a lot of spouses are stay at home moms. So the courts see their work to maintain the family and home as work, and that it enabled the working spouse to earn the income.
