Idk my greatest fear is being raped-killed too. That or seeing someone I love die again.

Unfucking real dude. You don’t know anything about me, my sexuality, or my political views. Kids come first always, before sexual orientation, race, religion, sex. They literally do not have rights. What exactly are you trying to accomplish here?

Are you implying gay men are incapable of victimizing boys? Because Kevin Spacey literally did this and tried to hide behind his sexual orientation. It’s not a fucking anything talking point, it’s called nuance, grow up.

Any male who has gotten in good shape knows the difference. It's night and day. Honestly it's not a big deal, we're all superficial. The issue is the psuedomoralistic judgement. The word creepy has a moral association with it. If you are creepy you are a deemed as having potential to be a predator, dangerous, unhinged, scary, perverted, etc. Women need to stop acting like every man they deem not hot is creepy. Creepiness is a different set of behaviors, associated with actual violent acts. We'd …

My point is this: money, goals, careers, hobbies, art, does any of it matter without human connection behind it? Without a ever knowing a deep bond between souls…. It’s all kind of pointless isn’t it? I do like myself, I care about myself, I take care of myself. But I’m made to serve more than just myself, despite the inane selfishness promoted by culture, I don’t think “living your best life” can really compete with millions of years of evolution. Why do you assume he doesn’t have any of that s…

I just don’t get this message… I mean I do, I understand being self driven and supporting is attractive. But are we not a collaborative species? Aren’t we here to build each other up? To love each other? Has society fucked us up so much that to want to support our loved ones and build a life with others is seen as weakness and even further is unattractive? It’s just fucking insanity. Mass psychosis.

Note to all: This is a fine argument to propose, even if you disagree, there’s no need to pile downvotes. Self police better or this sub will go downhill.

This is really interesting… I have thought before that if society is a patriarchy, then nature is a matriarchy. Ultimately I wish we could just accept and allow everyone to embody both their feminine and masculine energy as they needed, nature be damned, but I reckon the pendulum will just keep swinging in my lifetime.

Appreciate that. It really is a terrible social ecosystem that’s extremely unhealthy for everyone involved. There is still a social shame and stigma around sexual inexperience, even though the internet likes to pretend there’s not.

Love you for this post OP. Because I have sexual trauma, I’m uncomfortable in my body and have an extremely hard time finding relationships. Astoundingly, I am a human with a need for connection and this inability can be a painful insecurity. Looking for some community to relate to, I pretty quickly saw how toxic any incel related thing was and I didn’t identify with it. What astounded me though, was the communities of 100k+ members who’s only purpose was to make fun of those incel communities w…

As a single man, I’m starting to notice how many of my male friends are manipulated by their partners. They don’t even hide it either, they’re actually proud of it and gloat with their girl friends. I’m actually so fucking passionate about equality and a working for a just society, but when I see this shit I just feel more and more like modern feminism is just gaslighting and manipulation (pointing the finger at susceptible and abused men who will receive the hate) on a societal level. When will…

Actually I think this depends on the size of the company. If it’s thousands you might find yourself in these hierarchy limitations again.

That’s a very good point, and especially good to keep in mind that these oppressive structure ultimately stem from religious and government influence. Before it became institutionalized, my impression is school was more about learning and course matter, as opposed to discipline and conformism. But at the same time, school was private and only available to the very wealthy then.

Thank you for doing that. I had very few male teachers but the ones who were kind, intuitive, and intelligent gave me positive role models I was otherwise unable to find. You really will make an impact. I agree though there’s a larger problem of how our education system is even modeled in the first place, and how teachers are treated.

I like the “your turn now” type responses, like yes I personally perpetuated centuries of oppression and am a reasonable target. I feel so bad for little boys these days, getting bombard with messages that they are inherently evil and their existence is bad. I can only imagine it’s gotten worse since I was a kid.

I think this might have flown over some other peoples heads but I’m digesting it, thank you. Are you comfortable sharing any specific examples?

Well said. It’s taken years but I’m starting to finally ideologically fight back internally and not shame myself for it.

/r/CPTSD has a 7% overlap with FDS. Which is uh... pretty disturbing. I was there in the early days and it was pretty good, but unfortunately it's just gotten too big and I would no longer consider a safe place for trauma discussion.

Dude I'm right there with you. Feels like both ruling parties in the US hate me on principal alone. I feel like I will never have a meaningful role in democracy.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
