Sorry about the "[NEWS]" in the title, I wasn't sure how to flair initially. Edit also, if anyone has any questions about the South African legal system's approach to Male Rape, feel free to ask.

After re-reading my previous response to you, I can definitely see that my response did not need to be as combative as it was, and I do apologize for that. I do however feel that I need to point out, and I hope that this does not come off as vindictive as that is not my intention, that due to the nature of the discussions in these types of activism subreddits, often over-sensitivity, due to the highly controversial nature of the discussions leads to the animosity that you describe. To clarify, I…

I believe that this attitude has nothing to do with gender, it has to do with amicable growth and understanding. And I do not appreciate the statement that my support is conditional. As a recent subscriber, and someone who has recently found the MR subreddit, you guys do great work here, keep it up! It is important for these issues to be discussed in an open forum without turning into a hate-driven movement.

I wish that I was versed in American (I assume that is where you are from) law. I am a lawyer in South Africa, and here I would say that while not definite, your prospects of success would be reasonably high since she was not entitled to the money in the first place. That being said, I would need to get more intimately acquainted with the background, but as I have said, I am not really familiar with United States law. Hope someone can help you with this. Good luck
