In my opinion, there's overlap between your experience and what many men often describe. It likely comes down to an extremely rigid set of expectations in terms of what is considered socially acceptable. For autistic women, you're likely not behaving in the "expected female way", while men who want to talk about their emotions are not behaving in the "expected male way". In both cases, we're going against the perception that many people deem "correct" while just being who we are and getting judg…

I have been in a similar position as well, and the most frightening realization is when you realize that the way you're being treated is not based on any logic. The truth is whatever they want it to be at any given moment, so you don't share a common view of reality. The laughter and jokes are particularly hurtful, since it suggests it was all just a game to them and that your emotions are just toys that serve a purpose as long as they're entertained.

My issue is the hypocrisy. A man and a woman could experience the exact same traumatic event and bring it up at the same time into the conversation. If the guy brings it up he's trauma dumping and offloading his emotions onto her, but if she brings up the exact same thing, at the exact same time, with the exact same intensity, she's just sharing how she's feeling. The underlying message is that men should just bottle up their emotions and compress them until they become diamonds. But then you wi…

If the person you're disagreeing with isn't rational and level-headed, you don't even need to provide an explanation. Just "no", and stand your ground. No insults or accusations. Just stand your ground.

I pray for TikTok's erasure from the face of the Earth on for people to go back to thinking for themselves. I swear, dealing with people nowadays feels like you're interacting with whatever social media is making them feel and say. It's especially chaotic when you don't have social media yourself and aren't following the mood of the day.

Didn't get my information from TikTok, or even social media at all. I swear, the goalposts are always moving nowadays.

Unless I've recently become illiterate, cold approaching has been made out to be a big no no in today's dating culture. Women, in particular, are the people saying that they don't like this.

Tell his wife that he's cheating filth :) I know I would appreciate another guy doing that for me if I was in that situation.

How homewreckers think that the people they're with who are cheating on their partners won't eventually cheat on them is wild to me. You're not going to fix the underlying problems there.

Being full of shit is indiscriminate to gender, but a significant portion of both men and women love to rely on gender when they don't know where else to place the blame. Did someone do something you didn't like? "It's because he/she is a man/woman." Parish the thought that the person you're dealing with just has shitty behavior or that maybe you're out of touch. Can't be that.

I've been doing this long enough to learn it's not a gender thing anymore. Everyone has unrealistic expectations, especially when it comes to looks. I can't blame people for aiming higher than themselves, but at some point you need to realize things for what they are. Another thing that is often not discussed enough, in my opinion, is how personality influences looks. Someone can start off looking gorgeous, but if they say something way out of line they become hideous. Nothing can salvage a bad …

True. You can learn something from every experience if you want. Honestly, I've learned a lot from the unpleasant people about what I'm not willing to tolerate in a relationship, while I've learned what really matters to me and what I can overlook from the positive interactions.

There are two kinds of women when it comes to dating: - The women who you want to pour all your effort into because you feel like a better person when they're around you - The women who are looking for a dynamic that's akin to a teenage girl wanting to be taken care of by her father and loved unconditionally despite all her glaring flaws, and gives less than nothing in return despite everything she's given You will know where you're with the former. It's magical and addictive. Hours will pass wi…

This conclusion suggests that only roughly 20% of all men will have success in attracting a woman and entering a relationship. Sure, the world is definitely different nowadays, but I'm still skeptical about what you're suggesting.

Also we talk all the time about our future. She wants kids and to marry me. I wish I could show you how I'm shaking my head. If she said this to you, you've won. There really isn't anything more to it. I assume you're both fairly young, so you're at a point in your lives where you're establishing your careers and trying to stabilize your finances. This means more time spent at work than probably either one of you would want. If you really feel like you aren't spending enough time together, talk …

My guy, you're being obtuse. First, never ever put a woman in a position to choose between you and her family or job, especially her family. If she has a good relationship there she will not abandon them for you. One of the quickest ways to burn a relationship to ashes is to present ultimatums. Second, if she asked you if you're boyfriend and girlfriend that's very likely indicative that she wants to establish the nature of the relationship. You goofed up by saying no, and now you need to fix th…

From what I gather, women, on the whole, put in very little effort at first. They're expecting to be wooed. There are exceptions, of course, but they're far and few between. Once the relationship is established, women tend to take the reigns and want you to fall in line.

Sounds like she might be anxious as well. If the conversations are good and she's liking your IG posts take the chance. The worst that will probably happen is that she says no. For whatever reason, guys are still expected to take the risks, while women are expected to initially maintain disinterest and make you work for it. Yes, it's stupid, but this is the way it is.

As cliche as it sounds, two wrongs don't make a right. Are there women out there who are this bad. Damn straight. But what about the ones that aren't? You might be hurting these women far more than getting even with the ones that are just as bad, as you say. Also, you've even acknowledged that this behavior is unacceptable. This means that you're able to distinguish between good and bad behaviour. The next step is to embody this realization for yourself. Furthermore, do you really want to be cau…

Look at it this way: how would you feel if someone did this to you? I struggle immensely with the fact that we live in a time with so much access to information and the ability for self reflection, yet the dehumanization of our fellow humans is so prevalent.
