Well yeah, I didn't realize how toxic women could be towards men until I heard a lot of mens' stories from various red pill communities/youtube channels. Granted, I don't know what the full context/backstories were and how the men were responsible in any way for the women's behavior in certain situations, but still, I do think a lot more women get away with bad behavior than men do. Or at least, men used to get away with more bad behavior but now women are calling them out more and getting away …

A lot of it is men commiserating amongst themselves out of hurt and bitterness. I do think there are a lot of toxic women out there who have hurt men so men assume all women are toxic as a result. Women are guilty of this too. Lots of generalizing out of hurt and bitterness. People feeling powerless and needing to reclaim power buy putting others beneath them by any means necessary.

I think the male resentment stemmed a lot from dating apps and realizing their market value wasn't very high in relation to what they could get. It's a combination of a lot of things, actually. Porn as well. Men wanting access to women, feeling entitled to it, and women having high standards and not accepting lower value men. Misogyny has been huge prevalent for a long time as well. I think it was just a lot more private and under the table, whereas women can be a lot louder for their hatred for…

Well yeah, this is why I think red pill men who resort to referring to women as "used up" "ran through" "hit the wall" or just negging in general are usually not the most attractive "high-value" men in society. Because the most attractive men I've met did not denigrate women online or in person. I've been a ton of dates and the worst one was with a red pill man who proceeded to degrade me the whole time. And he was one of the least attractive men I've gone out with. It messed with my head a lot …

I'm a woman who has been single and celibate for 6 years. If I met the right man, I could go at it every day... I like being single, but I don't want to be single forever. I am open to meeting someone but I am selective and that's okay because I can handle being single. I think you are generalizing a lot here - everyone is different. There are emotionally intelligent men out there believe it or not. They are rare, but they exist.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/25 01:19 AM

If money helped with dating, more men in the San Francisco Bay Area wouldn't be single.... I keep seeing reels on IG complaining about the dating pool there. Apparently a lot of men struggle with basic hygiene and social skills. It's wild they cannot invest in bettering themselves when they have the means to do it.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 06:28 PM

I agree with your first point - everyone is entitled to standards and preferences. Nobody should feel like they have to settle. As to your second point, I think these men who "have it all" have less to prove so they are not as keen on picking a woman who makes them look better because they themselves look great. You see a lot of unattractive men with hot women because those men get the ego boost of getting with a hot chick. Hot men don't need the ego boost from how attractive their partner is. I…

Correct. I'm pointing out the difference between thicc and overweight. She is not skinny either. She is what I would consider thicker, curvier.

There was ONE man.. it wasn't that he was "too hot" for me, it was just that I was confused why he was into me. We were very different. He was the ultimate Chad. Like Captain of the football team vibes. Tall. Blonde. Built like a quarterback. Cute face. Finance bro. He was obsessed with me. Pursued me for months. I just felt like we weren't a good match because I am a huge awkward nerd. Kinda felt bad but he was just too... pretty for me. I dated other men later on that were really hot but they …

There is a difference between a woman who is obese and a woman who is on the thicker side. I agree that overweight women are less attractive because they're not healthy. I'm not talking about those women. I am talking about women with small waists and thick thighs, big chests. They are actually curvy. Like search Kelly Brook Bikini... still flat stomach but thicker body.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/25 12:18 AM

Yeah she's very pretty. I think she's a good example of a woman can be thicker and still very attractive if her face card is strong. I think the problem is a lot of women cannot get away with being thicker because their faces become less attractive. How and where people carry the weight makes a big difference.

I came across an insanely attractive man on Instagram last night. Easily 10/10 on looks. 6'2" minimum. Incredibly fit. NYC-based corporate guy with 30k followers (fitness account). He was following ~100 accounts, several of which were chubbier, thicker women. I've found that a lot of the most attractive men aren't as hell bent about women being a certain size. It's almost like the fact these men can get literately anyone makes them less obsessed with only desiring petite size 2 girlies. It's alw…

So it is considered high maintenance only if the man has to maintain it? Is this universally recognized by most men?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 09:27 PM

Men who listen to alpha male stuff are usually not alphas though... a lot are just lonely and bitter men commiserating amongst other lonely, bitter men... (I read the comments) Additionally, a lot of these podcasts give out really bad dating advice. I know this because I have been on dates with men who listened to manosphere stuff versus men who didn't listen to any of that and oh boy, they have been wildly different experiences.

Some women might like it! It depends on the woman and what she is attracted to. Some women like being older, or taller, or more dominant in some way. And some don't care either way. I think a lot of it is modeled from what women grew up around. If they liked the dynamic their parents had, they might try to recreate that. If they didn't, they would do the opposite perhaps. It really depends on a lot of factors but personally and environmentally.

For me, my metric is: is this someone I'd feel proud to introduce to my family. My family is multi-millionaire CEOS lol. Kinda set the bar high. I don't expect that level of wealth, but if I brought home a teacher, I don't think they'd be impressed. I am close to my family and some degree of approval from them is important to me.

I think women often model what they desire based on their fathers, even subconsciously...
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 02:09 AM
1

Yes, and it also has to do with my upbringing. My father was a highly educated, highly successful masculine dude so that kind of set the bar high for me. I am very attracted to intelligence and ambition. That's more attractive to me than height or athleticism. I dated a NASA Astrophysicist with 3 degrees from MIT. That's my type. It's not necessarily the money - I have a trust fund so I don't care - it's the drive and ambition. It's sexy.

That's fine. I make $150k so if he makes $200k that would be fine. This also isn't very hard to come by since I work in tech and am surrounded by high earning men.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 02:04 AM
1

Not necessarily. Every man I've dated outearmed me and they were not toxic masculine men. I live in one of the most expensive cities in the US - it's not hard to find successful men making over $150k
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 02:03 AM
1

I agree with this. I would defer to him since he is more financially dominant than myself. But this also goes back to the way I grew up. My father is a multi-millionaire CEO and my mother, while still having a successful career, didn't earn nearly as much as he did. Therefore, his word reigned supreme. That is the kind of dynamic I'm familiar with so it would be hard for me to look up to a less successful man. I don't expect to lock down a millionaire but I need him to have a good career. That i…

I might get some hate for this, but personally, I cannot respect a man I outearn. I would feel like his mother. It's just not attractive to me. I don't expect my man to significantly outearn me and spoil me with princess treatment either, but I just wouldn't be as attracted to a man knowing I make more than him.

/r/RedPillWomen09/11/25 11:12 PM

95% are not conventionally attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/25 11:08 PM

Yeah, that's true - women also settle down with the good guys. Just funny how a lot of those guys complain they weren't the woman's first choice and she settled. I think people want to be the more desired option instead of the safe/secure option - it's hard to be both.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/25 11:01 PM

I wonder if men getting louder and louder online about body counts and slut-shaming potentially making women more selective about who they sleep with... Another consideration: I think if the woman is interested in a relationship, she will not be rushing things and take time to actually get to know you. If she just wants to hookup, she won't be that invested in YOU, just sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/25 10:50 PM

Yeah I have been realizing that men were right when they said, "Don't listen to what women say they want - watch who they actually go for." Big projection. Women say they want nice guys and go for bad boys. Men say they want nice girls with low body counts and still chase promiscuous women. They only complain about high body counts when they're not part of the body count or the woman leaves them.

The fact you're asking this tells me you don't have a particularly delightful personality... Agree with OP - you're derailing to sound intellectually superior but you're overthinking it. It's not that complicated. Also I want to add - looks ABSOLUTELY matter. I never said they didn't. It doesn't matter how great your personality is if you're unattractive. There's no escaping that. But that doesn't mean personality doesn't matter. But looks, like personality, are subjectively attractive. Differen…

Agree. I've met men who have said this and they are some of the most shallow, superficial dudes. They're projecting. They don't care about personality so they assume women don't either but it's namely the kind of women they actually go for, which are as vapid and toxic as themselves. These people cannot have loyal, enduring relationships because personality matters in that case.

I've always thought men were just as hypergamous as women but in a different way - like if a woman met a much richer man, she might trade up and if a man had an opportunity to date a much hotter woman, he would trade up too. I think simply wanting someone wealthy and/or attractive isn't inherently hypergamous. If a woman is married to the same man for 40 years, that isn't hypergamous imho. For me, hypergamy is a sense of opportunism in always wanting the next best thing when it comes along. If t…

Consider the job market - you need skills and experience to get a good job - but if a hiring manager is choosing between two people with comparable skills and experience, they will go for the one with the better personality because they have to work with them every day. I have gone out with plenty of attractive men but their personalities were garbage. It does matter if the woman is looking for a partner. If you are just trying to get laid, no.

Okay let me try to explain it since it is actually logical. Let's consider the concept of frame since you're RP. If a man expects a woman to enter HIS frame, and if his frame is situated at his parents home, she is not really entering into his frame - she's entering into his parents frame. His housing situation is part of his frame and lifestyle and if it involves his parents, that's not appealing to a woman. It feels like she is not dating just him but also his family. If the relationship were …

Man living with his parents is very different than a woman living with her parents... I can't explain it, but it is. I moved in with my dad for a year and I didn't date because it just felt weird dating while living with my dad. I didn't start dating until I moved into my own place. At least roommates would be more acceptable than your parents. I'd focus on getting your own place or moving in with roommates before dating. It is going to be harder finding a woman who is on board with it.

One of my biggest criteria in dating is: Is this man someone I would feel good about introducing to my family? I have a good relationship with my family and it’s important they would support who I picked. I would want someone they would be happy to see me with because I respect and value their judgment. So if you want a down-to-earth, family-oriented woman - ask yourself if you would feel good about meeting her family someday. If not - that is not the woman for you and you are not the man for he…

I've never taken or sent a nude to a man before. There is a man I am currently obsessed with - my literal dream guy - and I still would not send him a nude. That's a personal boundary I won't violate. I think most of the "rules" women break are just signs of...actual attraction.

My mom basically made me get a nose job when I was 16 and I'm kinda grateful for it. It does make a big difference. And now when I see a pretty face with an unnappealing nose, I think: girl, get that fixed. It's worth it. That said, I don't think that's your blocker. I've seen plenty of dudes date women with ugly noses. It could be also your standards or who you're targeting. If you want high value men, then yeah, get it taken care of. But ultimately, it is not the end of the world.

I grew up in Los Angeles in a culture that constantly reinforced how important it was to look good, dress well, be thin, etc. My parents criticized every aspect of my appearance growing up. They told me no one could ever love me if I was fat. I always felt like I had to look a certain way to make them happy. My mom had me on diets since I was 12. She picked out all my clothes growing up. She told me at times she was embarrassed to be seen out in public with me. And ultimately I was resentful tha…

This is 100% true - I used to get told ALL the time "you'd look so good if you just lost weight" and it made me bitter but eventually I did lose weight and surprise, they were correct--suddenly got way more attention and felt younger and prettier. Obesity is the biggest cockblock. :

I feel for a lot dudes out there. It's like if they didn't win the genetic lottery they better get really rich and then maybe someone will be with them for their money or they could resort to using escorts. It's unfortunate. I went through most of my teens and 20s being completely invisible so I get it. The difference is I became much more attractive in my 30s but now dudes think I'm "ran through" or settling out of desperation. Truthfully, I'd rather just be a hot cougar than settle or be settl…

I would care but I'm also very selective and okay with being alone. If I find that person, great, but I can't settle for what I'd do the bare minimum for. Most women are not that though--they need security.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/24 05:54 PM

That's why you settle or go with someone who settles for you. There's nothing wrong with that. The alternative is being alone. People would rather settle than be alone.

Ahh, I see. That's a good explanation. And totally valid. Basically being perceived as "good enough". That's definitely a trade-off a lot of women make for financial security. In the same way a man might not care if a woman is super smart or successful as long as she's hot. The issue is they chase the hot women who know they could prob do better. So if you're a 4 looks-wise, shoot for a 6, not a 9. And in any case, women shouldn't settle for the 6s just to treat them like 4s. That's not fair eit…

Haha I know I know but trust me it's possible. That's why a lot of the RP side places value on becoming a high value man! I agree with this a lot. The right woman will recognize your value and want to support you. The wrong woman will only recognize what you can do for her.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/24 04:55 PM

Sure--I think the best way dudes can avoid being the "safe option" is: let the woman pursue you. If she is fighting for you--you aren't her safe bet, you're her ideal bet. She isn't settling if she is chasing. She settles for the dude who makes it easy. Also, if you can, pick a woman closer to your age, economic status, and league. If you are both hot, successful, and within a few years apart, she isn't settling. It's the huge gaps that create imbalances. Women settle for much less attractive me…

Of course not! I completely agree! That's why I'd never settle lol. But I've never been the type that men settle for either. I'm too wild for most dudes. And now I'm "too old" and they think I'm just settling. Women settle the hardest in their 20s--they don't wanna waste time.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/24 04:26 PM

Hmmm I saw a post recently where a woman married her husband while she was 5'2 110 lbs. 5 years into their marriage she gained 40 lbs and he was no longer attracted to her. I would say that man valued her for sex over anything else. When I see a significantly older, wealthier man with a much younger attractive woman, I'd say he values the sex more. I don't think that man would necessarily be that woman's first option but he provides financial security and safety.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/24 04:20 PM

Yeah I'm not sure why dudes want to be the learning experiences and not the chosen husband and father material. It's like you can't always be both. Its almost better the women has had enough experience to choose you rather than you be the learning experience she realizes isn't it further down the line.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/24 04:08 PM

Yeah but here's the double standard--a lot of men will screw women they wouldn't settle with too. Men settle for the demure petite brunettes after sleeping with or fantasizing about the tall hot busty blondes. I say this from personal experience after 4 consecutive guys I dated I later learned were cheating on their 4 petite brunette partners with me, the tall hot busty blonde. They wouldn't "settle" for me because they couldn't control me. I was a fantasy. People don't settle for a fantasy. Wom…

Yeah I totally get that it's just odd to me since women usually never settle for anything but the safe option. They're realistic. They're on a schedule. They're considering the big picture. Most would rather have a reliable Volvo SUV than a Porsche Convertible.

The thing is, what makes a guy think he's option b other than his own insecurities? Or maybe that guy is also settling for his safe option? If a guy is truly secure and confident and high value, why would he perceive himself as someone's second option?

Lots of women pick the safe option because: less likely to cheat. less optionality, attractiveness, game, etc. they don't feel as jealous w/others too. they want a normal peaceful drama-free life with a stable dependable dude who will support them when they're ready to "settle" whether it's 21 or 31 they will pick the most secure bet. security is the safe option. it's the one who they have some power over. the "unsafe" options aren't usually marriage or father material. I mean, no. Some people also just don't want to or can't be alone. They don't want to waste their time and know they have optionality and explore it. It's not personal--it's a survival instinct. My dad, who is very much RP even though he's probably never even heard of RP, got remarried a year after my mom died. He had been married for 40 years, loved my mom and was very faithful to her. I think it's a combination of lack of game and unrealistic expectations/wants. They are going for the wrong women and can't even get those women into them. They either try too hard or say the wrong shit or just don't have a good personality. Family dynamics help a lot too--the way men were raised and taught to treat women. Huge difference.
