Absolutely!!! I love starfishing and taking up the whole bed! “Any mess is my mess” 10000%. I clean SO much less than when I had a slob pos husband, and my place is still way cleaner. No shit on the toilet (why?), no empty bottles and cans on the floor for weeks (why??), no nasty crumbs in the bed from dirty feet on the dirty floor (why?!?!). He used to say I was crazy and “giving into society’s pressure” bc I didn’t want to sleep in literal filth. He was still surprised Pikachu face when I actu…

Hugs to you, sis. I’ll be 40 next month, wasted 11 miserable years with my abusive ex, and am right there with you. <3 I try to just look forward. Every minute is one I won’t get back, so no more wasting them!

My dad was lvm when I was little. They were broken up when mom found out she was pregnant. He got another gf while I was a baby but would still come over and “play family” on the weekends with us (my mom was desperate to get him back). We struggled, she was heartbroken constantly by him. He’d let his gf take care of me when he had me during the week. They finally got back together and married when I was around 4. I’ve known him as a loving and present father. He’s supported and provided for us a…

EXACTLY. I had a super pickme summer when I first separated from my abusive rapist NVM husband. The first guy I went out with (OLD) wanted our second date to be at his place. I was actually considering it until he said, “if you fall asleep I won’t take advantage of you lol.” Even in hyper pickme mode (I did some other really stupid and dangerous shit later that summer) I saw that red flag and blocked immediately with no explanation.

From that position, scrape your heels down his shins or slam the back of your head into his nose. Anything to make his grip loosen so you can hit, kick, and scream until you can run tf away.

My ex said something disturbingly similar, but his was driving a moped off a cliff on a vacation. Fucking psycho.

I am OVERJOYED to find others who despise this film. I saw it in the theatre and if my boyfriend’s parents hadn’t taken us to see it I would have walked the fuck out. It’s so bad!!!

Wow you described my NVX. He was proudly sociopathic “except for” the few people he claimed were in his inner circle (claimed me and our child were part of that but it didn’t save us from his abuse). Everyone else he would proudly “cut out” of his life, forget their names once he walked away, didn’t feel anything when someone died and mocked me for being sad unless their death had some valid-to-him reason to upset me. He once frequently yelled at me about how HARD it was for HIM to know that he …

He littered and saw nothing wrong with it. I thought he could cHanGe lmao. Also: -hated recycling and refused to separate trash (we lived in a country where it was the law to do so) cheated at card games with our friends and then mocked them for not noticing. He thought it was hilarious that they trusted him not to cheat and he got away with it so easily even before we dated, he was very physically controlling. I notice it now from pictures: he’d have a vice grip on my wrist in an awkward positi…

Your concerns are extremely legitimate. Your fiancé got angry at you and defended this guy for LYING to his wife and still thinks he’s a good husband?? You just saw the mask slip. He thinks a good husband can still trounce his wife’s boundaries and as long as she doesn’t know, it’s nbd. It also doesn’t sound like he’s too concerned about his groomsmen “surprising him” with a stripper. He’s laying down support for his excuses after the fact: it wasn’t his fault! Yeah there was a stripper but what…

Omg our bookshelves are pristine-unread-but-loved-books sisters. God I can’t wait to have time to read again!

The Green Rider series by Kristen Britain. Female main character and multiple important side characters; it’s set in a world where women are respected and strong as hell. It’s high fantasy: magic, horses, mythical creatures. The seventh book just came out and I’m re-reading the first six for the nth time (I’ve probably read the first few upwards of ten times now, no joke, and every time I read them I make new connections and feel that sense of wonder all over again). I cannot recommend this seri…
