It's clear she's put in effort and that looks like it'll bake into a beautiful pie. This is the kind of thing you do after engagement/marriage where it can be taken as a cute gesture (already engaged/married), and a humorous affirmation that you still want to be together, in a "wow you're so great marry me?" way that couples engage in back and forth. When you're just in a relationship no marry me letters, you don't need to take that first step for a guy. And dating never bake for a man anyways i…

And in initial stages of dating, don't worry about things like this. If they like you, they'll make it known without question. If not, this person isn't worth your time, stress, or sleep. In a healthy relationship you really should never be worrying about whether or not they like you, care about you, think of you, that stuff is just a very obvious given* \* if you have an anxiety disorder and overthink/worry about things even when they're lovely/healthy, look for men who communicate well and who…

Exactly! When I was growing up with my cousins we all used to play video games together to bond; my closest cousin Jeremy taught me Spyro and Crash Bandicoot and then Resident Evil. When I was 18 before I left to Europe, he came for an extended visit and we spent weeks together playing Call of Duty and it honestly did give really nice memories. The fact that this dude in the picture couldn't be a good father and play video games at the same time speaks a lot about his character in my opinion.

I'm not mad at the gaming in and of itself, I'm mad that he acts like it was some huge sacrifice to quit gaming for his new family. I'm mad that he acts like you can't be a good parent and still play games or relax every once in a while with healthy moderation. I'm mad that he's given this gift and instead of "I can't wait for us to try it out as a family" it's "look at how much I've missed out on." I'm mad that he's acting like being part of a family is some type of special achievement and not …

As someone with bitten, thin, brittle nails who is too grossed out by the feeling of the nail shaver thing at the salon, be careful with long lasting pressons especially expensive ones like that where you'll probably just reglue if one nail pops off- I did this over quarantine to make me feel better and ended up getting Pseudomonas bacteria on 3 nails from water trapped (doing dishes, washing hair in the shower, etc.). Yes you should dump him. People always notice someone who stands out in any way, but gawking or stariing past the initial glance is inappropriate, disrespectful and most normal people do not do so, especially when with company (regardless of romantic or not). If a guy apologizes always incessantly especially just with sorry and can we drop this after fights that is a red flag, it shows that he doesn't really care, isn't strong in his convictions (but doesn't mind being boneheaded enough to do sa…

Document his harassment with a timestamped email that you tag specifically in a special folder and the images either attached if you have a lot of storage or saved on a cloud somewhere with a link to each image in the respective email. Keep not replying, keep everything nonperishable for evidence, and make a paper trail although repeat he needs to back off if you don't have evidence of you telling him to back off before. If a man gives you these feelings consistently even if he seems good on paper or you can't put your finger on why it's definitely time to reassess that relationship. Men aren't worth the stress, tears, or panic attacks.

He sounds so boring, I'd have swiped left before finishing the first sentence. If someone has to begin their dating profile by making a sweeping generalization against half of the population, they are unoriginal and entirely dull.

It's always the broke ones that use terms like "gold diggers" too. The ones who actually have the kind of money to attract people who want money are the ones too busy enjoying their lives to deal with that kind of negative mindset.

That sounds really nice. It only gets better as you grow together (from experience). I'm in a 3 year relationship with my HVM and we live together most of the time when I'm not in my apartment that he got me a few mins from my Uni, and it's really splendid. Being with the right person really just makes life easier and more enjoyable.

The only thing I question is why did he say this to you? What did he have to gain from this? Why do you think he finds it annoying? I’m totally perplexed as it’s something honestly kinda nice, I like when guys do things for me it makes life easier, so what is the benefit of him saying he doesn’t? Does it make him feel emasculated maybe? Or does he like his way better? I always read into this stuff to sniff out any bad signs in the beginning.

Only if you believe a woman can be an object or deserves objectification. I do not, so I disagree. The issues with oversexualization are with the creepy men, not the women and teens doing a dance. But now my opinion has been stated and it would seem you disagree and think women can be objects and do deserve/are asking for objectification (hence being hypocrites) if they dance sexually, and it seems neither of us are having a change of mind, so I will exit this conversation now to avoid redundanc…

She said “women aren’t objects” talking about the women not the behavior itself, which is why I am having trouble understanding the perspective here, because I believe women are never objects so being “hypocritical” wouldn’t apply, because a woman can never be an object to me, and objectification is the responsability of the objectifier (the male gaze) not the women. In my opinion.

If you read any of my other hundreds of opinions on FDS or askfds and my other post or two on FDS you would clearly see I am not a libfem. So if someone does a sexual back arch do they deserve to be objectified by men? Does this make a woman an object? If a woman says women aren’t objects and makes this arching does this make her a hypocrite (and also an object)? I’m just so confused how the Op video message is being taken so happily.

I think if she said it as "Posting these videos doesn't seem empowering" it wouldn't be an issue. My issue and why I am so vehemently disagreeing is that it's literally point blank stating "actively participating in this trend is hypocritical if you say women arent objects." But women aren't objects, ever. And how is it hypocritical? Do these people all deserve objectification, to be labelled as hypocrites and participating in the porn industry? I don't agree. You don't know anything about me and clearly don't know anything about tiktok and your comment with woke outrage against what is honestly mostly young adults trying out comedic skits or having a laugh with friends is ridiculous to me. that's objectification of herself and other women. Women are never objects. So many of these dances are done comedically, or with pets, or with anything. It's just a happy upbeat song, and a loooot of people doing these are actual dancers practicing and having fun or teens/uni students just being silly. And yes, the WAP and this other dances are fun, just because you don't find them fun doesn't mean that everyone else doesn't. Just because you are a sexual person doesn't mean you should go aroun…

I agree with your entire comment but I don't think it applies to this video because she isn't coming off as trying to empower women rather tear them down. I also think at the end of the day a lot of these dances are just for fun. It's trendy because it's appealing in the same way as the soulja boy and dougie and every other dance is fun. Most of them are even doing it with friends as a social thing or just trying to feel cute. A lot of men do this as well and try to be as sexy as possible too be…

Yes.....and they are called pick mes for this. Critiquing or disliking someone happens with everyone, or being jealous, or whatever other feelings, that's normal. But women attacking women just for existing (participating in a 15 second tik tok trend) and implying they deserve sexist objectification is why she's getting that name. She doesn't have issues with a particular woman, she isn't trying to protect children or her religion or whatever from what it seems from the ass sitting dance, and sh…

She's basically blaming women for being objectified. There's nothing wrong with being sexual, and it doesn't mean you deserve to be treated any sort of creepy way by anyone. Men always seem to use the excuse that acting sexual means women deserve crappy treatment. And she's basically being "pick me, I agree that these sexualized women deserve it" which is just a hop skip and a jump away from "she was asking for it, can't you see how she was dressed?"

Honestly none of that is even remotely worth beating yourself up over. It takes a village to raise a child, it is their fault for not helping as much or being as involved (and then probably being overbearing on top of it), and it is definitely his fault for shit stirring and revealing to his family the private things you say. The thing I don't understand after glancing your post history is why do you think he would screw you over. Does he seem cold and calculating, yes, but I feel like there is a piece missing from this story. Why did he go from totally loving and your best friend to someone who suddenly wants to divorce you, aggressively pursue custody (as you stated) and to someone you're afraid will screw you over? Hahaha this reminds me of my relationship. We often take things way too seriously. If I say I'm craving chocolate he already has it purchased and walks through the door with it even if it was fleeting. I even said I wanted bread the other day so he got a full baguette from the bakery a few blocks away for lunch (it was warm too). That is very true and it is sad to me too, especially with all of her forced optimism in the post even while clearly disappointed. I remember when I was younger being really sick and my aunt who was watching me did not even get me a glass of water and I had to crawl, it was upsetting. I disagree with you. Burning food isn't a dislike, it's inability to eat the food. It is especially important to treat sick people with even more care with their food as their taste buds are often compromised and or they may be quite nauseous and sensitive to organoleptic changes. The OP didn't complain once, by the way, she infact was positive with him multiple times (I appreciate him, at least he tried..) even though he didn't do a single competent task. Part of a normal long term partnership is taking care of each other. Feeding each other, getting groceries, etc. It isn't the end of the world to be a bad cook, but it is inexcusable to lower the nutrition and force someone to eat repetitive or burned food due to unwillingness to learn. You don't have to be a master chef to know how to make basic meals in the house, and it should be a basic thing for all humans to know how to eat a regular meal. Just enjoy it and ignore it. I know that everyone's response is block, but imo that's for the people who can't control the urge to reply and/or in situations where someone is making you uncomfortable. As someone who has no qualms leaving a message on read, I personally love not blocking so I can watch disaster messages like this come in from people who think about me way more than I think about them. As a 23 year old...gross. I barely tolerate my own age gap relationship (23/33) just because he treats me very well and looks younger than he is, but I think any older and it'd be unacceptable. He's grooming her and trying to mold her into his perfect "ideal" partner...they may be together, but she will outgrow him. What type of guys fall under this category? It's just annoying!!! Have you ran into a guy like this? Are they the majority? Wtf is going on?!? Insecurity. People mirror the things they admire/want. It's why very insecure people before a date will look up everything about the other person and try to pretend they have the same interests- they don't have confidence that their own personality or interests are exciting enough to attract and/or keep a mate.

That said I know it’s gross but this meme always seemed funny to me if I imagined it as both of them passing gas at the same time and reacting- him pretending to be asleep and her going in to see if he heard it.😂 The making the woman crazy template always just annoyed me, typical “hurr women are crazy” “””jokes”””.

Translation: "I don't understand why a man would pick you when they could pick me! Rape is cool, forcing yourself to have sex with someone you aren't attracted to is what you should do, be a cool girl, learn to relax, stop being so frigid and judgmental, why hasn't he PICKED ME YET????" Either the queen of all pickmeishas or a man larping. Truly disgusting either way.

I say this as kindly as possible but I feel that you are perhaps giving excuses for him. If you're not ready to call it quits then that's okay, you don't have to justify it to us, the only person in the end who you are hurting is yourself. I always used to feel defensive about why I was with crappy dudes and it took getting burned sometimes before I was able to really accept it. He tells me when I’m overreacting, he teases me It's telling to me that the first flaw you mention is when you're "ove…

He knows, he just doesn't care. That's the unfortunate reality. He wasn't an innocent child who thought it would be fine, he was just being cheap. Men like this just want to see how little you'll accept. Never stand for it. But yes, no excuse in arguing with him or giving him an open for a discussion, especially if he's stalkery. Just "I'm just in a really bad place for a relationship rn :-(" or "I just need to find myself :(" or whatever dumb excuse will make him go away and not get aggressivel…

If you were a libfem you would get the same amount of hate. There are disgusting YT videos about libfems, about regular reddit subs in general, death threats towards liberal women. Same goes with women who are overly religious or women who are athiests. Same goes with liberal women from conservative men and conservative women from liberal men. It is in human nature to be critical. While it is always easy to see the praise that people who disagree with you get, you have to recognize that anyone w…

He tells me he loves me everyday. He always reminds me that I’m perfect, he won’t change one single thing about me. Be careful with this type of behavior. While expressions of love and that you're perfect in their eyes are excellent, saying he loves you every day and also telling you that you're perfect and basically not admitting any faults could be love bombing. My partner and I generally only say we love each other before going to sleep in a routine or in special moments, and we both know the…

I agree with both ladies! I have a HVM partner who treats me well and I do enjoy sharing it as I think all nice things should be shared, so I feel Donne. I also can't wait to graduate (same field, pharmaceuticals) and have my own pharmacy money like Bati because damn I hate the feeling of unemployment and student life and not being able to buy myself luxury presents too. Also I may be in the minority but I think for the gym those middle shoes are actually kind of cute....they'd go well with some…

So beautiful rose with a few thorns shakes hands with prickly cactus that has a measly flower. Beautiful rose is only focused on the prickly cactus's baby flower (ej. the one positive trait in a sea of prickles) whereas the flawed prickly cactus can only see the 4 measly thorns that the beautiful rose has. So essentially the rose is seeing the best even though it's less dangerous but the more dangerous is only focusing on the tiny flaws. I think. I've spent way too much time last night and tonig…

If you could do it anonymously I'd say better to try and hope for the best to try to protetct women in the future but as this was clearly someone who knows who you are/has your phone number, I would not personally do this as it could put you in personal danger. Always put your safety first, men can be unpredictable if they feel threatened.

That would be a very positive step in the right direction and honestly I would go back to consuming her content if I felt it was a real change. She's extremely creative and clearly talented, funny and charming, but I just didn't like the "my way or the highway" type implication mixed in with the way she explans her points in a lot of her videos, especially when a lot of it seemed a bit more geared towards her male audience while under the guise of being for women. It just felt like as an influen…

Always good to reflect on what relationships bring/don't bring to your life and how they impact you and your perception. For me what has always helped when making decisions of whether to cut people out or not is asking why I am hesitant to do so and valuing that from there. You deserve to be treated with love, respect, trust, compassion, and empathy in all interpersonal relationships. 🤍

It's probably because it's 3 am and I haven't slept but I didn't get the picture at first. I reverse imaged searched it and found a caption that said (translating): There are people who when presented with multiple defects see beauty and when presented with so much beauty see only defects. Just in case anyone else was confused like I was when I saw it, at first I was just thinking that people in suits are all prickly in different ways? lmao.

Not a fan of her. I can't remember why but I used to watch her a few years ago and something she said and the way her videos were just made me uncomfortable and I didn't agree with some of her views. I don't think she's a woman to be taking advice from. It depends on your initial degree. Something synergistic but that you'd also enjoy. Radiation therapy is the one that screams the most lucrative to me, but it depends on your location and the types of jobs you are looking for. Honestly though, I think it may be a good time to stop University for a bit and really think on your future while you gain some work experience (regardless of where it is). Lately he started offering himself to the grandparents to try fix their car In normal situations this would be high value behavior, and as a grandkid he sounds lovely. But not as a kid (still freeloading) and DEFINITELY not a partner as he is leaving you alone and not attending to your needs at all. See, in my circumstances I have my university apartment and my shared apartment, I enjoy my alone time because it's my house. I love this but I still kind of have qualms as again it is putting the onus of their behavior onto the parents (which we know implys the mother) rather than themselves. Badly raised still diverts the blame from the men themselves. I hate how so much of language still coddles men without even realizing it.

So glad I grew out of my "not like the other girls" phase years ago and love that she even addressed at the end women who may have felt like they related to one of those archetypes currently. Also on an unrelated note I love her shirt and lip color it matches really nicely.

Yes! This reminds me so much of a thread I read a while back-- someone wanted to know if they were assholes for being upset that their contractors were peeing on the subfloor of their home while building it. Yep, I just woke up to all of these comments and checked the profile of a girl who said "you don't hit anyone, men or women"...16 years old. Kids think like this because they haven't seen the wrath of a full grown adult male. I hate that as soon as some asshole around her decides to be an ass she's going to realize real quickly that the majority of men are vastly stronger, more violent, and more aggressive (many times without reason). Sorry to hear that you are having such a difficult time. Breakups always suck and are sad, it’s something that gets better over time. You already know he is a trash partner now, but you learned a lot from the relationship and what to avoid so it was a good lesson. I met my partner through Tinder honestly. Is it the best place? No, but it worked for us. A HVM is HV regardless of the situation he is put into. Also I think it is important to remember FDS is a guideline not a rigid structure and nobody is perfect so it’s okay if you don’t have the best story. We were at a photoshoot two days ago and the photographer asks how we met and I just straight up said Tinder and he was a bit in awe and surprised, so I don’t think he has too many success stories there …

I recently read something that says don't accept criticism from someone you wouldn't go to for advice and it really stuck. You don't need their permission or approval for how you vet significant others, and it sounds like you wouldn't want to follow their guide on how to find an SO either. That said, I wouldn't take their criticism as a personal attack, rather them sharing their perspective-- many women DO settle, have lower expectations, and/or normalize things in relationships that should be a…

Yeah I saw this as well and it grossed me out. Everyone has some varying levels of cleanliness and laziness but it's the fact that he's extra smelly and doesn't clean after himself that shows he's true LVM. Like I admit my partner and I have a "toss laundry on floor/chair at night or some days after coming home and put in hamper next morning" habit, but we smell generally nice and are tidy people. For me I think the biggest thing that I realized was to stop acting like my lack of a good male role model or previous good relationships was something I was doomed to, or somehow my fault, or that I had to compromise because I wasn't pretty/fit/skinny/tan/etc. enough. Once I started going for men I wanted rather than the men I felt I deserved I noticed a lot of HVM out there that I thought were out of reach. I feel you with the hopelessness about seeing all of the LVM comments.
