| 1 | CMV: The BBC study results showing women writing better code make sense.I'm a senior software engineer with many years in the industry. What I've noticed is that men do outnumber the woman 5 to 1. Furthermore, the top 10 percent (these are the ones that actually develop the frameworks and APIs the rest of us follow) are almost 100% men. They started coding as kids. I have had some great woman engineers. 80% are East Asian (Han Chinese). They are my best team members as they rarely get into 'cowboy' mode and break things.
