The odd thing I noticed was that when I was with a girl that was also smoking, both of us being stoned seemed to make sex that much better. It really only ever affected my sex drive when I was the only one that smoked, and even then it was before I started working out regularly. I'm wondering if that was a similar effect to the people who get paranoid when they smoke.

It was definitely made it more difficult to do the things I needed to do to fix it, but it also just kept me in my head too much obsessing over all of the things I needed to do/change. I still smoke every once in awhile when I'm with some friends, which is okay. I just really had a tendency to make it a habit and I'd just rather not keep going thru that cycle.

I smoked from age 18 til about a year ago (I'm 29 now) and I can say 100% it contributed to my depression. It obviously doesn't effect everyone the same way but it definitely kept me in my head too much. It was a lot easier to figure everything out when I wasn't in a fog 24/7.

This is something I've always done that I never really thought about until literally right now reading your comment. I've always had a tendency to bounce around at parties or whatever social gathering I'm in and it's led me to end up having a good time with everybody.

I was once told by an ex after shaving my beard off (had been growing for about 8 months) that I looked like a cancer patient. Kinda fucked up but every time I looked in the mirror for the next few days, it's all I thought about.

Uh...there are multiple REAL PEOPLE in this thread talking about how they have no trouble with women due to being bald (myself included.) It's also not a niche, as nobody will be able to get every single woman they want every time. People just need to stop making fucking excuses.

I use maybe all the time. If it's something they're asking to commit to that is more than a few days in advance and they question it, I like to follow it up with something along the lines of "well I don't want to be rude when I have to cancel if something better comes up before then." It's said in a way where they don't know if I'm joking or not (usually I am) so most of the time they'll try to convince me why I won't find anything better to do.

"I could probably work out to improve my health..." is exactly what I'm talking about. Attracting women is a byproduct of being your best self. Your body is the only place you are forced to live your entire life, why would you not want it to operate as efficiently and be as healthy as possible?

This. Seriously. I hate the word "toned." If your arms are starting to look good from playing guitar then you need to get into a gym. Or at least lift something that is heavier than said guitar.

Something I've been juggling with myself is whether or not a degree would be a necessary thing to have if I'd like to eventually get into consulting. I started in IT at 19 after going to one of those shitty 6 month programs. Only thing I earned there was a piece of paper saying I completed the courses (no certs, no degree). I've now got 10 years of IT experience, all of it consisting of support roles. I've recently started learning how to code but I'm not sure if it makes sense for me to go get …
