This may not be the case for everyone, but in my family cooking was always a way of showing affection, you work hard to give them a nice meal make them feel well fed/feel good and you dont even need to say anything, for me being ungrateful to someones cooking is such an awful thing to be ungrateful about. What an ungrateful bitch.

I hope everything goes well for you, there's nothing wrong with doing what you're doing, its good to support your family, and I agree with what you say about there being good women out there, but its easier to say theres no good women out there because the odds are stacked against you, its not worth the risk.
