Anyone who thinks that going into business for themselves means they will "work less and make more" is an idiot and doomed to failure. And anyone who thinks they will become wealthy without having to take significant risk is a bigger idiot. I've been around both -- the former as clients, the latter as (onetime) business partners. Lessons from 12+ years as an entrepreneur, in a partnership or independent: You do not work for yourself. Your customers come first. Then your subcontractors and vendor…

Some feminists are all for female empowerment until they do something stupid. Then they're all for prosecuting the men who made them do it.

You hardly ever see women at work mentor other women, let alone men. They expend more energy trying to kneecap other women professionally... more than men ever do.

Be extremely cautious about a woman's claim that she wants you to share your genuine feelings. That's a Cosmo talking point but in real life a threat to her security. If you even hint at male fears and vulnerabilities there's a fair chance she'll backpedal and look for the exit. Believe me.

Remember that in any two-party relationship, the party that cares less enjoys more control. Sounds like you are on the way to being more in control. Try to see it that way instead of as an "existential crisis."

I sure hope Justin goes out and gets his now, using the same rationale. I doubt she'll be so serene if the shoe's on the other foot.

I certainly think women are more bloodless and calculating when it comes to relationship management. They can dump a guy like a slumping stock and leave him in shock while they don't bat an eye.

Yeah, that boss had better be careful, no matter how right he is. Some chick could make a hostile-work-environment lawsuit out of that.

Looks like throat yogurt is trending hard all over right now.

Sorry, but like the rest of the civilized world I forgot about Prince Charles.

Sure, if #2 heir to the British throne desired a wife, he would absolutely turn to America and a Fox TV elimination contest.

You should know by now that women with a problem expel data not so you (or anyone) can solve it or do anything about it, but just so you can listen to them. That is why women can take offense at a man's instinct to present possible solutions / alternatives when all they really want is to spew. It is also why a man who eavesdrops on a circle of women in joint problem-discussing mode will inevitably feel his head explode.

That is correct. Read the OP intro closely.

So true! Obvious, theatrical boredom is so unattractive in either sex. It means you're too dense to make use of your environment and advantages. But women seem to think it's a man's job to keep her entertained, just like it's a man's job to earn the income and keep her fed and clothed. Almost as repellent as the "Think you can handle me?" line. Aargh, don't care to try.

That is the general drift of Craigslist W4M personals. Impossible dream-fantasy standards for men, but no room for compromise or discussion about a woman's own -- sometimes monstrous -- shortcomings. I also think it's very interesting how often these women say they're "bored" with everything. Either they think that's somehow attractive, they feel alleviating their boredom is a man's job, or they're utterly clueless.

OP here. Like I said in the intro, this is a composite pasteup of many W4M personal ads, not one single ad by one person. But all content is guaranteed authentic.

When you think about it, a LOT of women are drama teachers.

One who understands the dividends of feminism solely in terms of perceived "rights," privileges and licenses, and not at all in terms of responsibilities, equality, or accountability.

As a post-modern woman, OP claims the right to make the rules. She also demands the right to change the rules anytime via whining, wheedling, or weeping. Or just throwing the game board on the floor. And she's wounded and outraged when someone calls bullshit.

Paglia is smart and courageous. Anyone who's been excommunicated so hard by the mainstream feminist community can't be all bad.

I keep reading the header as "4 Reasons Women are Attracted to Bellboys." I guess because they think there might be good stuff in the luggage.

What men may interpret as a concerted "silent treatment" may just be an inconsiderate self-absorbed woman forgetting all about you.

If she bought the dim sum that if anything worsens the scenario. To her it's a transaction. I buy the right to abuse this guy by feeding him. It takes two to enable an abusive relationship, however, and I urge you to consider your own role in the dyad. You are unhappy and squandering your self-respect, and she is infantile. Where's the pleasure in this?

When my toddler pulled that stunt, whatever interaction, treat, etc. we were having was instantly over. If we were out somewhere, the trip was aborted and in two minutes we were driving home in silence. You have to teach immature relationship participants that tantrums have no power and are not a tactic to advance their interests. Use your words. Your gf is no different. At some point in the past tantrums worked for her (or she wouldn't keep deploying the tactic). Cut her off, shut her down, vac…
