Its even a plotline in a Black Mirror episode... Still this would be useless because "I wanted to withdraw consent halfway through but couldnt reach my phone" Probably even worse because she gets a record of the fact that you had sex.

I wholeheartedly disagree with Musk being a "visionary" or whatever people are calling him. He is a clever entrepreneur with a high IQ and insanely good PR. SpaceX works because it made space technology "cool" again. Elon is basically Steve Jobs but in mechanical engineering instead of electrics. If you want a titan of the 2nd space age, check out Jeff Bezos or Richard Brandson. Musk is only in the game to disrupt the market and get famous.

Good observation. In fact, that might also mean the same halo effect is influencing me: slutty outfit can make me assume that they are, in fact, more promiscuous, whereas it largely stems from their increase in confidence. Time for some more research!

Will have to do some more research on it, but here we go: The self-inflicted halo effect. I was at an oktoberfest party last weekend, and the women in the skimpy outfits seemed more slutty than those same girls are normally. I actually notice the same thing happening in men with suits and self-confidence. Theory: We associate a certain outfit (or possibly some other external characteristic) with a certain personality characteristic. Thus, we believe to have those qualities, thus, we get them.

Yes indeed. However, nice in the dictionary meaning is a good character trait, if you're not full blown dark triad then being a friendly, sociable human being will get you far in life. However, indeed, when we use the word nice around here, we have a certain denotation with it that fits the "nice guy": a boring people pleaser that lets others walk over them and seeks their validation. I guess the difference is in self-confidence and self respect?

I believe it is Mark Manson's Models which has a paragraph that essentially says: "She doesn't want to reject you, every time you approach a woman, she is your greatest fan. please let this guy be good " (I'll see if I can find the exact like tonight). So I would not be surprised if they try to lure out alpha behavior. Interesting theory, I'm gonna start paying attention to it.

Agreed. This guy went as far as staying (largely) sober at parties because she didn't like him drunk. Even a party where she did not even attend.

The telltale sign for me was the use of language. As soon as she/he/it/xe/whatever starts supporting an argument, the sentences get really complex. In effect, this distracts the reader from the fact that a lot of statements are total gibberish if stated in regular English (something any "PhD candidate" should be capable of).
