The "lower tier" men are being shut out of dating and sex because they refuse to date "lower tier" women. And vice versa. Lowering your standards works in every single instance, it's just that people are selfish, and toxic online communities reinforce the belief that you deserve an attractive partner. Lot of shitty men and shitty women out there, but decent ones as well.

I mean, someone tried to kidnap me off the street when I was 4. Told me to get in his car, he was going to drive us to the pool. I was one bad decision away from being the next Adam Walsh. So some stranger on the internet telling me kidnapping never happens, I take that with a grain of salt. I feel a lot of identity politics is tied into exactly that. Separate an us vs. them, poison the mind that "they" have been hurting "us". My problem with that sub is that it puts far too much emphasis on what the poster wants, and treats the other people in the story as non-entities.
