3	My #1 tip for muscle growth Just stop. The eccentric is just as important as the concentric on all lifts. You don't drop the weights just because you can't finish the lift. Only on 1-3 rep max lifts is there a reason to drop the weights and there better be no less than 3 plates on each side even then. I am a big ol pussy... 5'8" 185lbs BP 275X3 BS 335X3 DL 385X3 My 1RM max is about 10% higher on each lift but I won't even try because I will be doing that much for reps in 2 months. Most people's issues with squats are due to short hamstrings. There are videos that can help. One trick is to keep an anterior pelvic tilt (lumbar in arched naturally) while holding weight between your legs to stretch. Bending over to touch your toes with a posterior pelvic tilt (lumber hunched outwards) does nothing for stretching and cause additional posture related injuries.
