She's baiting you. Do not respond. Do exactly what your lawyer says. If she texts you outrageous stuff don't even respond and don't talk to her unless you absolutely have to.

Going to mediation soon. Hoping to keep it out of trial just to save money. My wife is also painting me as an alcoholic as an excuse for the divorce and I really don't want to deal with trying to prove im not a raging alcoholic in front of people lol

Extremely religious and they care very much about what others think of them. They are also extremely close which I thought at first was a good thing but the longer I went on I realized it was going to be a problem. I was also second to her parents.

I've had a lot of people tell me there is either way more too this or she had an affair. I don't think she did. She's very religious and has a good job. It would ruin her reputation. Maybe an emotional affair or someone else picked up to replace me that led up to finding ways to get rid of me. It sounds like it. The biggest part that was confusing is that she didn't really like drinking when we dated but also didn't really care or express it was a deal breaker. I figure if she hated it that bad we should have never got married. She's very close to her family and an only child. I think she just wanted to go back to that life. She got her big wedding and got to see what marriage was like. Now she can go back to her old life where she was the spotlight.

That's what all my close circle is essentially telling me. She just wanted out and found the only thing she could to use against me. I found out after the fact by quite a few people they were surprised we even got married as she never really had a serious boyfriend. I did not know that at the time but it checks out now.

Yeah we had maybe two talks about it the weeks leading up. Wasn't even really an argument. No yelling or anything. I agreed to just abstain from alcohol and the next thing I know its just divorce.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
