I think each person has their niche for sure. On tinder it is almost impossible for me unless I’m just lucky. Clubs aren’t so good for me either. What works for me are lowkey bars where I can easily challenge someone to a game of pool or get into some tipsy conversation. I think it really depends on what setting works best for you, and what you’re looking for. I prefer to get to know people a bit so a club really isn’t the place. Banter over pool has gotten me the best luck so far.

Haha it’s so interesting you bring up Poland because I’m actually half-Polish! So those specific laws interest me but I get the point you’re making. My comment about the boring thing was kind of a response to all the commenters saying that women might find OP boring, but maybe it should be phrased as emotionally boring? I consider myself more demisexual in the sense that sex doesn’t interest me without at least some sort of emotional connection. I think online dating skewed my perspective though…

As a self proclaimed “not boring guy” (I mean that as humbly as possible), I can say I’m still at a loss. I think a big part of it is that in my experience, a lot of women on first dates don’t make the effort to get to know you. So they don’t even know how fun you might be at the end of the night. For example: I rock climb, snowboard, taught myself how to drive a stick, taught myself how to ride a motorcycle (even bought one and fixed one), I play guitar, I play drums, and I’m constantly going o…

Well it’s good to hear that they faced social consequences for their behavior. I was emotionally abused by two women in my life and they’re doing just fine, while it took me years to pick myself back up. It’s amazing to me that misandry isn’t called out more. Just now my phone even tried to autocorrect “misandry” to some other word 😂 Bums me out that misogyny is so commonly thrown around, but as soon as you call someone on misandry, you’re labeled as a horrible person. EDIT: grammar

I had a gender-related debate with some of my climber friends. At the local rock gym that we were regulars at (pre-COVID), the women I was talking to wanted a women's night for climbing. Women would have a female instructor who would show them around the wall and teach them climbing techniques. All in all I thought it was a great idea, especially because from what I've seen, women tend to have different climbing techniques than men. After some more talk, they decided that men shouldn't be allowe…

I had no idea, but I’m not surprised. Has there been any response from the other communities about it? Seems to reinforce the reason why these subs exist.

I’m sorry for your experience. I’ve never been raped, but I have been hellishly abused by two of my exes. The only support I had was my close friends and Reddit. Of course through all that they painted themselves the victim and everyone was quick to feel sorry for them. I had to sit back and just internalize everything, because I knew I’d be publicly attacked if I broke my silence and tried to expose them for who they were. Abuse/rape/emotional distress isn’t taken seriously for men, we hardly h…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
