Maybe the lowest paid college majors are the lowest paid because they're female dominated and there is a legitimate gender wage gap. That's obviously not the case, but that's a weak argument in my opinion that takes away from the graphic's overall effectiveness.

In developed countries in 2015, you're probably right. But this came from a 3rd world country where it may be more relevant. I've never been to India, but I just dug up this article with interviews of South African men about rape. They're pretty shocking and disturbing, and gives the quote more credence than you may think.
