Trying to pull it away from the edge by getting some momentum. If the ladder is far from the base, it can be tricky to pull it away to vertical. The leverage of the fully extended ladder at too much horizontal distance can be hard. I had the same issue one or two times when I did my lights. I quickly learned to not make the base length so long. I didn’t make any mistakes as embarrassing as that woman.
