I mean, no, it's not. That's my point. The chance that a single visible star in the sky has already exploded are very, very low. Like, below 1%

Extremely unlikely. The entire galaxy only has one supernova every 50 years, and almost all the visible stars in the sky are within a few thousand light-years, so we're not looking that far in the past as far as cosmic events are concerned.
