Universities were systematically prejudiced against hiring white males and also anyone who doesn’t hold explicitly left wing views. It’s fashionable in academia to be anti white male. You’d probably find tons of internal documentation showing all kinds of hiring practices that cross into illegality happening, I’ve read some in various articles. If not outright illegal it’s obviously racist and wrong. But those people redefined racism to mean something else lol. There is censorship and rampant po…

The universities have and are continuing to violate the rules that predicate their ability to receive federal funding. For years they were instituting racist policies that are now literally against the law to do and they can be sued for it.

Ok perhaps I’m wrong. What is an historical example this person was stating in history of leftists and fascists and it not ending well for leftists? Perhaps you can inform me and heal my ignorant strawmanning on this manner

The idea that leftists are the defenders of liberty is such a joke it’s shocking you even say this out loud lol.

Liberty is under threat from a giant government, which once you empower to grow to a behemoth in size, has the ability to take it away when the wrong actors get in power. Leftists are no better than anyone else, they would contribute to this problem. Look at how these people run the universities! They are authoritarians lol. They remove free speech and academic freedom under the guise they’re trying to ‘save people’. Look what happened to someone like Roland Fryer at Harvard, the poster child of…

It’s just funny to listen to you people pretend like you’re in Nazi germany or something and life is going to be dangerous to you. Nothing bad is going to happen. If you believed that you would not be on the internet blabbering about being a leftist in an easily traceable fashion. Legend in your own minds lol

I feel like these women for the most part want everyone to admit to being just be as weak as they see themselves. It prob makes them feel better about themselves when men admit to weakness the way women do lol. Weak people generally feel inadequate in the face of strong capable and competent people. Also I feel like weak men become easier for women to control. I feel like both of these things are primary underlying motivators for women like this. <image>

I mean the worst part of this is how ridiculously hypocritical it is lol. Women seem to literally want to engineer the world around not triggering their emotional sensitivities and insecurities. They clearly have massively fragile egos. That’s the part that is the most frustrating about this nonsense.

These women are miserable catty bitches who feel it’s socially acceptable to hate men so they escalate to this type of thinking over almost nothing. Men are low status in their mind and it says a lot about a person based on how they treat people seen as low status

I would just go and focus on getting your feet wet and trying to have a decent time on the date. Stop attaching so much weight to the experience. It’s just a date. It doesn’t have to be some super serious thing. Stop thinking ahead so much, just focus on enjoying the night and meeting someone new.

Women learn from a young age that on average when they signal being upset or negative emotions it’s like a forcefield to those around them that limits and shifts how people are allowed to talk to them. Someone is upset with you? Start crying and acting upset and see how socially acceptable it is for that person to continue being angry or upset with you lol.

I feel like the rhetorical move that will happen in response is often ‘men commit all the rape and murders’ - so like men are worse and more violent essentially. That’s the go to move.

I think there should be a expectation a man consider and care about a woman’s feelings. But I think a major problem in today’s world is women on average don’t hold themselves to a particularly high standard when it comes to their emotions and rationality. Nowadays it seems like many women are raised to think their feelings and emotions should rule, these things should never be questioned, basically they need a course or 2 of DBT because no one taught them to question their own thoughts for think…

As a woman I see it and think about it all the time. Female manipulation and soft power over men is something people and feminism pretend doesn’t exist. I think it’s partly because women are the complainers of the world. They are quick to complain and treat anything that doesn’t feel good to them as a wrong or injustice, they are conditioned and rewarded for doing this. They are the ones through sheer volume of complaining and voicing their side of the story, have more influence and control over…

People may be watching this crap (I feel like a good amount of this is hype, because a ton of YouTube videos will get more views than this very expensive series) on Apple TV, but it’s an entirely unprofitable business model. So they’re paying to produce this garbage propaganda for what amounts to a small # of views in the scheme of things, and losing lots of money doing so. It’s not like hundreds of millions of people are watching this, it’s like maybe 20 million ppl. You get YouTube videos with…

I notice propaganda/messaging like this all the time in TV shows and movies and as soon as it becomes obvious I’m either out or hate watching. There was a horrendous Kate Hudson show on Netflix that had similar issues, they made her into this feminist girl boss character and emasculated a lot of the male characters. I think it comes down to everyone tends to have ‘hero of their own story’ syndrome, and people can rationalize or distort things in their mind when it suits them. People are just not capable of evaluating reality in a principled accountable way unless they’re actively trying to. Especially not when they embrace emotional reasoning to the extent many women do. For many women, they seem to have deeply deeply internalized the idea that any time they feel bad or uncomfortable, that they’re being wro…

Like to me this is similar to saying ‘I will decide on my spouse based on my mood’. Not to mention there isn’t an abundance of high character Prince Charming who are going to get your panties dripping wet with just a look, and you prob can’t afford to turn away good men lol.

Who’s to say when you meet someone you’re not in one of these fickle times when your sex drive isn’t particularly high and this is impacting your attraction to them? Even birth control impacts this.

I don’t agree with this. Seems fairly fickle to me. Sexual attraction comes and goes depending on a woman’s hormones and such. Things like stress and mood can affect it. Can be stronger or weaker for various reasons. I’d rather pick a partner based on character and work on sexual chemistry second. I think as soon as you discover a person you’re in a romantic relationship is having behaviors like this, like serious awful behaviors that no amount of rationalizing or alternate perspectives can justify, you need to get yourself away from them for a while - space. We can end up still being emotionally attached to and long for awful people just from continuing to be around them, it keeps it going. Getting away from them for a while begins to erode that and allow more healthy perspectives.

/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates27/06/25 08:41 PM

Yea. I think we thought in our hubris that religion was just this thing that was imposed upon us unjustly, that it is separate from us, not that it’s something that comes naturally to us - something we are drawn to. Religion gets a bad rap but at this point I see at as an ancient human nature management tool. It’s a motivator to get people to behave in a certain way, likely ways that at the time were seen as beneficial and better for the function of those societies at the time (or in the opinion of whoever came up with all the rules). We see it as harsh and judgmental and arbitrarily punishing, but at the time they came about life was just harsher so it makes sense imo. It’s like a code of conduct, life coa…

I feel like I’ve accepted people care more about how believing something reflects on them and their ego than the issue itself. That’s why whoever controls what’s seen as ‘good’ or ‘bad’ controls the majority of people. People want to see themselves as good, they’re not so interested in the actual particulars or being good, they’re lazy about all that lol. They just want an easy win
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates27/06/25 08:24 PM
3

Sorry that was a tad more condescending than it needed to be. It seems like this understanding would make a long explanation of that sort unnecessary because what you’re describing boils down to this phenomenon. You realize a huge huge number of people believe things without actually understanding what they believe? They’ve never thought about it at a deep level, they adopted the belief because it’s the belief of the group. That’s why they’re so easy to make look bad. That’s the majority of people. Most people believe what they believe because it feels right, and it feels right because they’ve absorbed its rightness from their environment signaling to them its right. The rules of what is and isn’t considered misogyny literally depends on how a woman feels or reacts to something 99% of the time, what matters most is if something upsets women who hear it. They treat their reactions to something as a sacred truth, how the other person actually feels or what their actual intent was is considered irrelevant, the woman’s reaction determines its hatefulness. It’s ridiculous. And most of these women label something hatred of women, and if you actually analyzed the b…

Something being judged superior does not mean the other thing is bad or hated. Black and white thinking. And ‘superior’ in this case is context based, not fixed. It’s like thinking that someone getting an A and calling that the superior grade means you’re telling the person who got an A- they’re a pathetic loser with a bad grade who everyone thinks is a moron. No, this does not automatically mean someone is saying the kid with the A- is dumb.

I’m over throwing tantrums about the human tendency to generalize and project models onto situations as a way to make sense of the world and their environment and other people. I think women need a mirror to look into, like we all do, to be able to see ourselves accurately rather than how we want to see ourselves through our own self aggrandizing biases. And no mirror is currently allowed in todays world, it is a social taboo to provide negative feedback even if truthful. Everyone needs to be cut down to size. In fact, I think we get mostly messaging of the opposite persuasion - that we are amazing and everyone and everything is trying to hold us back. Therefore if we …

I find taboos fascinating. You find these sort of inconsistencies all over the place. Like it’s currently not taboo to have a bajillion books breaking down and analyzing all the problems with men and masculinity and it’s negative effects on society - this is entirely legal to explore and discuss in even very insensitive terms, but it’s entirely taboo to have literature dedicated to breaking down and analyzing problems with women in this way. It’s taboo to be even remotely too critical of women (…

Something I value is the sacrifice you guys are expected to make for us. For example, there is a unspoken understanding that when times get tough - men are expected to be the brave ones who face the danger (eg combat/war, drown on the titanic and let women/children live, etc). That’s kind of a crazy responsibility. It’s perhaps waned in modern times as we’ve allowed society and men to be feminized. I find a lot men to be funner and easier going in certain ways. I do think the internet has led to men engaging in this sort of behavior nowadays more than in the past - possibly because they don’t face the same consequences they would in the real world (getting their ass kicked) if they did it. I have a working hypothesis on this - I see a lot of this kind of behavior going on between male influencers. I’m often thinking to myself everyone seems to be acting like catty high school girls lol.

I think it’s because female bad behavior is not seen as harmful relative to male bad behavior. I don’t think people care or take notice to female bad behavior because you guys’ bad behavior is more flashy and obvious than ours lol. Essentially female toxic behavior is more subtle and gets less attention and concern. I think women are just more capable of being manipulative in general in a way to make themselves sympathetic. But you can read about it in the feminist movement for example - Jo free…

Yea. I loved my Mom to death but she was troubled with a BPD like disorder. She could be great but also a monster. The one time my dad lost his temper she brought him to court and got a restraining order lol. After all the insanity she did for years

Ug, sounds like a BPD type. I’m sure she is one of those ‘my ex is a narcissist’ women. Sorry you had to go through that. we learn as we get older to ditch people as soon as they reveal that kind of behavior. When you’re younger you end up staying too long or god forbid you have a kid with them - Ug. I think women can escalate their behavior to that degree because generally the only thing that happens to them is people cut off relationships. I think a surprising # of people end up entrapped and …

People just don’t seem to think psycho female emotionally abusive behavior is that big of a deal. And we were little kids at the time, it negatively impacted both my brother and I. I have what I think is disorganized attachment style and I still have relationship problems now as a result.

Because feminism is about gynocentricism, not equality. They don’t want equality, they want special privileges treatment and status.

This is where as a woman I have a incomplete perspective. I just feel like there is a mental block we ladies have on the male experience. I do feel like any kind of discussion in which empathy and feeling bad for men and the issues they face as the center-point is somewhat discouraged and I do not recall ever having these kinds of discussions or considering it. Tbh in my day I grew up in the 90s with what I remember having way less of this gender politics and I don’t recall there being nearly th…

I had a abusive mother and imo female emotional abuse is something few people care about and it seems like women rarely get in trouble for this. It’s very hard for anyone to care it seems…. And it has a horrible impact on you imo particular if you have a sensitive or fragile temperament. I did. Also if it’s happening to you starting from a young age. A lot of people knew my mom was nuts and had emotional problems she took out on us but few people cared enough to do anything about it or really un…

This is my theory on this - Special victims (by special, I mean people who are seen as dealing with worse problems or treatment, having to endure more than other groups/individuals, a more unique thing they’ve dealt with) ‘can’ (NOT ALWAYS) attract more sympathy attention and concern. Average bad things people deal with - by average I mean something that doesn’t stand out as particularly unique or worse than what other people/groups deal with - don’t garner as much attention or sympathy. Run of …

I find it utterly bizarre that women seem to disregard how men are viewed first and valued as a function they serve. I think women would hate this if they were subject to this kind of expectation, in fact they DO complain about this sort of theme when it comes to other things. Idk how this is such a blind spot. A part of me thinks women in general avoid thinking about other perspectives besides the usual feminist narratives. Like one of the great betrayals we tend despise the most is when our hu…

I should have said ‘men do not do this at the same rate women do’. Why do you think people care less? It is my experience that women seem to be socialized to think their feelings are extremely important and something that should be paid attention to if not control situations in general, and you don’t see this as much with men.

Women seem to externalize blame for insecurity and feelings of inadequacy about appearance onto society, and claim they are wrongly made to feel this way by unfair beauty standards and messaging imposed on them. It seems like they put forth these sorts of arguments that suggest they should never have to feel insecure or feel bad about how they look, that they should always just feel ok as they are - and if they do feel bad - it’s because they are being wrong or mistreated or subject to unjust dy…

I think none of you grew up in a society that was legitimately conservative. We have not been conservative for decades now. There might be small pockets of religious conservatives but they’re living in a fundamentally non-conservative society. My mom grew up in a more truly conservative society 70 years ago - and men were certainly NOT hated. Boys had higher status within the family unit. Not out of hatred of women really - but more was expected of them and that came with more status. My mom wou…

I think there is a difference between what groups/activists claim they believe and care about - the principles they claim to hold - and their actual behavior/true intentions. Talk is cheap.

Yes, that’s what it does seem like. Like our empathy is reserved for ourselves and our own concerns, and other peoples problems are a threat or something that will take away attention from us. People want their team to have the attention, not to have to compete for the spotlight. I had another comment where I was pondering this - the politics/dynamics of who gets to be the one who people care about. It definitely shifts over time. Not everyone gets to be the group people care about.

What I often hear is - ‘why are you complaining, it’s your guys fault, you guys cause all the problems, fix it yourself’. Like they ask the person why they’re complaining rather than trying to do something about it. I was on Twitter and someone was saying a ton of men he talks to are terrified of being labeled creeps by women. This commenter - a woman of course - chimed in and literally said ‘why are they not being activists with other men, educating other men to change their behavior? That way …

True. Most people can’t stand constant complainer whiner types - it’s considered annoying and nobody wants to be around or listen to these people. If people actually care enough to listen to you complain to the point that you get away with doing it all the damn time, and people actually try to change things as per your complaining - there is a power there. A lot of people complain and just get told to stfu or ignored. Some people figure out how to present themselves or what stories they have to …

I did get some messaging about men from my Mom. She expected them to be useful, basically a lazy dude who isn’t providing some kind of practical benefit is not worth having lol, that was the overall theme. I think these are the expectations of men, that you provide stuff to us, that you add usefulness to our lives (money/practical skills), that you offer some kind of benefit beyond companionship (which I don’t think is the primary reason women want a man whether or not they recognize this, becau…

I read the book ‘Violent Land’ about frontier times and it put stuff in perspective about what happens to males without females lol. I was raised with a very practical Dad and a Mom who loved having a practical man around so I never got brainwashed into that ‘I don’t need a man’ nonsense.

I just say I’ll always pick the team who on average has more useful practical skills than they do. Like my Dad built our house. My male roommate can fix anything. I’ll be on that team. I’m like what does your side do besides complain about everything and pretend your lives are worse than they are?

I’m pretty sure people who push that rape narrative are making it more likely that people end up not recovering. It turns out that what makes something traumatic has a lot to do with how you perceive the event and what meaning you assign to it. This is a known phenomenon. So you can literally cause more damage to yourself psychologically by holding that view of rape. The feminists LOVE to push a learned helplessness view of these things.

I think it’s so vague it’s practically meaningless, and it becomes unfalsifiable because few to no particulars are provided. People who use the term don’t even provide enough details or particulars about ‘the patriarchy’, they just assert it as an established truth - a undefined thing yet also a foundation of reality. So there is no arguing with these people, you can’t. They’re not really saying anything specific. It’s more like a paranoia at this point lol.

Stop giving into the nonsense. Victims get to complain and people generally won’t confront them or give them bad feedback for doing so, that’s a major reason why these women choose to pursue victimhood. It gives them license to complain nonstop. These people are generally the most privileged women on the planet, but spend their life whining, complaining, and being resentful. Literally resentful that life isn’t perfect enough for them because they’re all born princesses who deserve only the best …

Female here and this may be a bit of a tangent - I think it becomes obvious and we notice from a young age that more attractive girls are treated dramatically different and often pedestaled. I know the reality of this is more complicated and nuanced - but it can seem that way to an unsophisticated immature young person who gets lots of messaging via the media content etc. I was not unattractive but I went through a chubby dumpy phase in my teen years - I was not treated well by my peers. I had a…
