Not really, I'm honestly more concerned with the cleanliness of a car and its interior than whether its the latest make and model.

Ah, it’s truly unfair that straight women are disgusted by bi men but bi women are fetishized by straight men 🤷

I wouldn’t put it that way. I think it’s because male gender dynamics prioritize assertiveness which leads to clear communication between men for what they want out of a relationship.

It’s an interesting phenomenon since it’s the stark opposite for queer men getting together. They’re always banging at the drop of a hat and tend to have happier and more fulfilled relationships in the long term than their female counterparts.

“Lesbian bed death” is the term that’s used for this. Women who are into other women tend to have barren sex lives when they’re in a committed relationship so I doubt they’re having it much easier than men in bedding women.

But it feels like it’s gotten way worse in the last few years as younger people grew more isolated in their online and offline spaces

Those guys can be lazy, awful, abusive bums but still be more attractive overall than the “nice guy” and know how to pull. That’s it at the end of the day, it’s not that deep bro.

What’s with the mass influx of depressed teenage boys venting online about their frustrations over their looks, height, race, etc? I’m worried my younger cousin is gonna start crying to me and saying that he got “mogged” at school.

Specifically with younger gen Z people and onwards. Older gen Z boys like myself were pretty oblivious to gender dynamics growing up and just blindly believed what our parents told us. Which probably explains why there’s a large wave of extremely bitter “nice guys” and doomers in their twenties 😂

I’m really curious to how the gen Z dating scene will pan out in their 30s, a lot young guys in their 20s are just flat-out leaving dating because of how hard its gotten to go and work on other interests and goals. Doomerism is at an all time high especially with teenagers who have become hyper aware with the looksmaxxing and height nonsense on social media.

I think the media is overhyping the growth of polyamory these past many years. Monogamy isn’t going anywhere for how much it’s baked into our culture and societal norms. Can I see the study that says more than half of Gen Z says their ideal relationship isn’t monogamous? I just have a hard time believing that when so much Gen Z are single and utterly sexless (mostly dudes)

Sex is like step 5 or 6 of a relationship and the "nice guys" are complaining that they can't get past step 1 where they find a romantic partner. Pussy is the furthest thing a guy is thinking of if they can't find a woman that isn't utterly repulsed by their docile and polite demeanor which they substitute for baseline attractiveness because it's what they were taught by their moms and others. "Don't worry honey, I'm sure the girls will love you. You're such a nice and kind boy." Many guys are s…

You are not beyond saving, you can definitely work with what you got and reach that threshold of attractiveness.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/24 10:28 PM

Being a short ethnic man will certainly have a harder time looksmaxxing than a tall Caucasian man but you just gotta roll with what you were given instead of lying down and praying for reincarnation.

That's where looksmaxxing comes in

I'd argue being assertive is just good advice in general that young guys are either not getting or being punished for embodying. There's a balance when it comes to politeness and assertiveness that people are missing and it's pushing them to become docile doormats that get frustrated when they're older.

The problem is so many people live their lives online today. Half the shit that gets spewed on the internet would never be told to a real persons face.

No, I can make friends with women just fine. Haven't really tried the romantic part though.

The main appeal of OF isn't simply just paid pornography, it's desperate people paying for the illusion of a relationship and the intimacy that comes with it. This AI fearmongering is just that, fearmongering.

Ohhhh you're specifying domestic labor as being their "second mother". I see what you mean and I do agree with you there. That's just patriarchal gender norms at the end of the day enforcing those societal norms and expectations on men and women. I thought you meant second mother in being someone to take care of them at home while they do nothing since the topic of this thread is the term 'manchild'.

I don't think there's a prevalence of men looking for a woman to be their second mother. Men are expected to be the provider and men are well aware of how unattractive it is to be seen as not being financially/socially capable of taking that role. Being a man who can provide is the bare minimum, nobody don't wants a scrub.

I think it's because men are expected to put their childish things away when the reach the age where they're pursuing serious relationships and encouraged to have more socially acceptable and masculine interests in place of the things they gave up. Videogames are often pointed to as a childish thing that manchildren have as one of their interests. Women don't have a social stigma pushing them to leave behind things they enjoyed in their youth because they don't have to worry about the fear of be…

There's a disturbing amount of media that glamorizes simp-culture/stalking as the key to the romantic success. No wonder there are so many young men throwing money at random women online for the illusion of a relationship/sex.

Men and women could stand to stop using virgin and incel as the go-to insult for a guy they don't like. It's stupid and doesn't make any sense, hinging someone self-worth on whether they can get their dick wet just perpetuates a harmful stigma. Like you said of the most awful men with the most abhorrent behaviors of the past and present can still pick up women like it's nothing. It's like people can't just say "this guy is bad and don't like him for x reason". It always has to be some personal a…
