Presumably it should make sense that men are more likely to cheat since there are more things that are called cheating if a man engages in that activity. Women can have many friends without it being an issue, but men engaging in the same interactions would be considered emotional cheating.

6

You made a classic mistake of growing up into something other than a woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/25 02:54 PM
3

Typical of a man to not accept the unpatriarchial idea that men should always give emotional support and never expect to be a recpient of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 06:49 PM
1

Oh yeah I forgot I was wrong and you were right.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 06:36 PM
2

Bro that's called emotional labor and is a form of abuse.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 06:30 PM
1

Thank you for explaining how to correctly interpet gendered expectation from the experience of both women and men. Clearly I was wrong to have felt anything that disagreed with your feeling.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 06:29 PM
4

Apparently we're wrong for being men with the idea that partnerships should reciprocate their emotions.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 06:28 PM
2

It's just another way of saying that men should be the provider and never expect reciprocation.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 06:25 PM
2

Love doesn't mean giving without the expectation of receiving in kind... You're deliberately selecting for a man who is comfortable not being reciprocated emotionally.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 06:24 PM
1

Not being into the person who's in a relationship with you is also a red flag. Thus the men who would continue to engage with a woman employing this methodology would have to be a man who is themselves comfortable ignoring red flags in his relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 06:22 PM
1

Okay. Well here's the story so far: I argue that we should respect women by considering what they say as being a valid expression of their thoughts and feelings.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 06:03 PM
1

I mean you'd kind of have to be at this point. No young adult alive today was raised on the idea that it was acceptable for men to approach women.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 05:55 PM
1

I did pick one. I picked what they said. You picked "never listen to what women say" and somehow want to argue that I'm the one being direspectful.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 05:54 PM
1

How is ignoring someone altogether coddling them???
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 05:51 PM
1

That's a good caveat.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 05:45 PM
2

Fair enough. Like I said - most people would interpet ideal and perfect as nearly synonynous so it's my fault to have assumed you meant ideal was a favorable outcome. My point was only ever that 39 rejections is the easiest offer ever. I can't speak for women, but most men get rejected 39 times by like 7th grade without even having ever approached.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 01:03 PM
2

There's a 99% chance it rains but a 100% chance I have an umbrella. Therefore the odds of it raining on me are less than 1%. I understand what you're saying - it's just very obviously not how most people would have chosen to express that.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 12:44 PM
1

I didn't say it wasn't a me problem. I'm a male. But I don't see how "don't listen to what women say" can be construed as respectful. It's not my problem if it makes no sense, it's just on me to not intrude.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 12:42 PM
1

I don't think there's any requirement that someone be found attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 12:40 PM
0

A 99% chance it rains means it's not good odds for me that it will rain because I don't want it to rain
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 12:35 PM
1

Nah I will definitely continue to trust and respect women. I think it is important to normalize consent.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 12:30 PM
2

So you have no problem with the odds, you just didn't actually say what you meant.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 12:27 PM
2

Hey man it's your sub. You're right that it doesn't have to contain any meaningful dialogue. I just assumed that was the intent which is my bad.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 12:25 PM
1

I thought this was already the default narrative for like 30 years tbh.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 12:24 PM
2

So then you probably can do whatever you like.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 12:20 PM
0

It's not about rejection. It's that it could make women uncomfortable. I'm not on this Earth to prioritize my whims and comfort over that of others. And you're right - most men are not confident. Confident men are generally viewed as dangerous.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 12:17 PM
24

Yep same. As far as I've ever encountered, having sexuality as a man is inherently dangerous and evil.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates27/06/25 12:15 PM
2

I mean like you said - most men don't approach. Only the weirdos who don't follow social conventions and don't respect boundaries approach women.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 12:13 PM
12

How is a guaranteed payout a bad odd? Literally 39 rejections for a guaranteed perfect match is the best odds you'll ever be offered.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 12:12 PM
4

No you already understand. You're correct in seeing that they're self selecting for basically only creeps and stalkers. Anyone who considers it a red flag that men are respectful is just delusional.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 12:10 PM
1

I have no idea what black pill means. But I don't have any question about the rules.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 12:06 PM
4

Yes. I haven't any problem comprehending your intent.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 11:55 AM

It's not confusing at all. You stated that your reply was not intended to be a reply to the content of the comment. Makes sense to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 11:52 AM

This implies that every individual king is personally responsible for inventing the political circumstances they were born into themselves. Why do only queens happen upon historical circumstance but kings are responsible for it?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates27/06/25 11:51 AM
3

What about feminism would eliminate conflict?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates27/06/25 11:49 AM
4

So you're just speaking in bad faith. Got it.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 11:48 AM
12

From her comment where she said she doesn't want to be as interested in her partner as he is in her.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 11:44 AM
6

Fellas, is it black pill to want to be desired? Also if you couldn't understand that English, but you think yours is legible - you might just be bad at English.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 11:42 AM
20

Her ideal man is a stalker lol
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 11:41 AM
2

I don't think it is both parents' fault. None of my male parents or grandparents ever made a single comment about gender and seemingly all of my female relatives have many lectures worth of opinions on everyone's appropriate gender roles.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/25 02:31 PM
5

I think the better question is why some women want stalkers?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/25 02:19 PM

I guess this woman has decided I am not a man because I like to have a clean house.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/25 02:17 PM
1

Yeah that's what the articke was about.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates13/06/25 09:36 AM

Right but the stereotype is not men buying chocolates. The stereotype is men never centering anything around themselves and living every moment for their family for decades on end at the expense of their welbeing. The whole "women live longer thing" because men don't take care of themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/25 02:57 PM
3

Eh? It's men who are sterotyped as the gender who are expected to express themselves through actions instead of words. What a backward assertion.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/25 02:47 PM
5

Aren't men stereotyped as the gender who tends to have issue saying "I love you"? Seems like it actually makes it a stronger point if men are saying that as an indication of being in love since presumably fewer men than women would utter the phrase.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/25 02:32 PM
2

I thought it was generally accepted that men tend to have deeper emotional reactions in their relationships. So it makes sense men would fall in love faster.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/25 02:31 PM
6

Well for me personally it's mental health and abuse surviror resources. People are scared of men. So, no men.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/25 02:11 PM

Point number 5. Why would I want to be publicy beheaded? Please god do not treat me like we do kings.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/25 01:48 PM
2

I don't think there are many participants in this sub who don't have hateful views of one or the other gender.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/25 01:09 PM
6

Eh. Women denying men access to social goods because they feel unsafe does contribute to victimization of men. Not sure how that would be seen as misogynistic.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/25 01:08 PM
5

Oh okay. Good thing very few people care about virginity anymore then.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/25 12:48 AM
9

Then I don't know what you're talking about lol What do random men's personal lives have to do with you? Why would any of this be considered a fault of women?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/25 12:40 AM
13

Not men's fault you have a socially parasitic relationship with them either. There is nothing a man can do for you that you can't do yourself. Why are you so butthurt about men not being available to you?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/25 12:30 AM
3

Yep
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/25 12:00 AM
20

And this is pretty much opposite of what the assumption was just a few years ago. It was always assumed you were being exclusive if you were dating someone because that's just what dating meant.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 11:48 PM
1

Not one of those words even contains the letter F, much less spells out the word feminism.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 10:41 PM
1

Who said overwhelmingly? I said "so many" without defining "so". It's simply a plural number of women.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 06:01 PM
1

Who said overwhelmingly? I said "so many" without defining "so". It's simply a plural number of women.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 06:00 PM
1

Did you post that comment also? I'm not seeing any such mention.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 05:34 PM
3

You said "are". So that's why I thought you meant that non-pushy nen are misogynistic.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 05:15 PM
8

What does that subset of men have to do with men as a whole? Why should men be generalized based upon those specific individuals?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 05:15 PM
3

I think it would be clearer if someone said anything at all about becoming feminist to date women.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 05:14 PM
5

Pushy men are misogynistic and non-pushy men are also misogynistic. But the men who are neither pushy nor not pushy are not misogynistic. Is that it?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 05:13 PM

What do those men have to do with men generally?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 04:54 PM
5

You said "also".
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 04:52 PM
3

I'm still not seeing the connection to feminism. Sorry mate.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 04:42 PM
8

Okay so all men are misogynists is your argument. You do not see violating women's boundaries as an expression of misogyny however.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 04:39 PM
2

Being what desperate? I said leave women alone. How is that desparation? It's a matter of basic respect.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 04:36 PM
3

Yes and my comment contains the content which was a reply to your comment. I am not OP.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 04:31 PM
2

Correct.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 04:29 PM
6

Okay? A reward? I'm not sure where I said anything about a reward.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 04:27 PM
3

Ask OP if you need more information. It seems to me to be the topic of this sub to discuss gendered dating preferences.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 04:26 PM
10

Yes. Because they are misogynists. We're all agreeing that this is not revelatory.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 04:25 PM
8

Yeah seems OP is inviting discussion. Which we're doing. I just don't see where the connection point is coming from that people are saying they think feminism is about dating women. You didn't provide that connection point and keep asking what in the world else the post could possibly be about, but the post doesn't seem to be about feminism at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 04:23 PM
3

It is my understanding that women dislike being approached by their friends or in social activities.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 04:21 PM
12

The post seems to be about a statistical study which was conducted to investigate men's attitudes about women compared with their history of sexual violence.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 04:19 PM
6

I'm not sure where in the post anyone mentioned becoming feminist to have better chances with women.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 04:17 PM
13

Actively pursuing women requires ignoring women's boundaries. That's misogynistic.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 04:15 PM
9

I don't think people are becoming feminist to have better chances with women. They're doing it because they believe feminism is morally correct and want to contribute.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 04:12 PM
24

Right. Hence the misogyny. Pursuing women is blatantly misogynistic considering the dominant narrative from women tells men to never do that. You'd have to want to disrespect women to approach then.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 04:10 PM

Yes. This is why so many women seem to think all men behave in certain ways - they're mostly interacting with the same minority of men.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/25 04:04 PM
11

The ration of women to men in colleges absolutely is closer to 60:40 than 50:50...
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates11/06/25 02:02 PM

I mean he's a man, so he's probably lying and just describing what he did to her in fact.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/25 08:06 PM

It's sexual harassment, but it's a woman so there's really nothing to be done about it. Maybe time to find another job.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/25 08:05 PM
18

If you're in the US, that statistic is still true lol
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/25 05:13 PM
5

I didn't disagree. And yes, it's not all women.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/25 01:42 PM

Meh. Those things all happen. It's not fantastical.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/25 01:22 PM

No. ??? Is yours?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/05/25 01:49 PM

Girl Scouts USA is subject to Congressional Charter Title 36, as I have explained now 4 times. There is no such organization as Girl Scouts America.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/05/25 01:46 PM
12

Congressional Charter Title 36.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/05/25 01:42 PM
11

No. Congress does not authorize the distribution of funds to Scouting programs to access public lands. Also if what you're saying were true, you are assering that GSUSA is illegal according to the same charter, which has been in effect since 1916.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/05/25 01:37 PM
34

Scouting isn't publicly funded. It's a private organization which provides a curriculum for youth organizations and the use of that curriculum is protected by Congressional Charter Title 36 limited to GSUSA and Scouting America.

https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/36/subtitle-II/part-B "Scouting" and "Scouts" are protected terms according to the Congressional Charter Title 36, which gives protected recognition exclusive to GSUSA and Scouting America. The same charter also grants each organization special rights to use public land. No other organization is legally permitted to use the word "Scouts" or "Scouting" and they do not enjoy special privileges to utilize public parklands. Other organizations such as Campfire…

? How is the extinction of something a threat to its existence? Boy Scouts of America no longer exists.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/05/25 12:58 PM
42

Oh okay. Boy Scouts of America then. People complained Girl Scouts USA wasn't appropriately building young women so instead of addressing that problem, now we have Girl Scouts and Scouts.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/05/25 12:09 PM
25

Not to mention that in my house, I also do all the "woman's" chores as my wife is disabled. But being a man of course, that's not actually true and I am wrong to say that. In reality I'm a slob and a parasite and I don't contribute.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/05/25 11:26 AM
4

Where did you specify anything about irrational vs rational men? In the OP you repeatedly addressed your commentary toward "men". You made a sexist generalization about me or you don't believe I am a man. Which of these is the case?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/25 01:51 PM
1

I've never encountered this phenomenon. I guess I'm not a man?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/25 01:25 PM
5

In my experience men don't have locker room chats about women. Men mostly seem to have locker room chats about each other.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/25 12:38 PM
1

I'm just choosing to not be sexist by either telling women they are wrong about their views on men or by judging women for their choices. I think not beinf sexist works out well enough.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/25 08:57 PM
1

Eh. It's not my place as a men to say what a good or bad man is. Women have more legitimate insight into that than a man could since it has more of an effect on them.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/25 06:58 PM
3

There is nothing that would make a woman a bad or good woman. It's sexist to say a woman is good or bad.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/25 06:54 PM
-2

This. A woman can be anything and deserves better than to be criticized or told what to do.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/25 06:53 PM
8

I was gonna say. I think the bigger difference is that boys get used to being kicked when they're down by at least adolescence. Most men just get used to being dogpiled if you show sadness or patheticness for too long. Being sad for extended periods as a male will provoke actual hostility from others.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/25 02:16 PM
1

Why would someone choose to change except for the better? It's just a matter of grammar. I apologize for the suggestion that anything about you might be better for any reason, complete stranger.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 06:20 PM
1

That's the entire explanation about why the question was asked of you. It is not necessary to change for any reason. Ever. It is acceptable to never change. No one is asking you to change.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 06:14 PM
1

You literally asked what relevance the question had in the comment I first replied to.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 06:11 PM
1

There's nothing to expand upon. Some people like to change for the better for various reasons. You may or may not identify wish said people. I promise you it's not confusing or deep. It may just not be something you've encountered before.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 06:09 PM
1

There are various definitions of better which people choose to measure themselves by when making choices to change themselves. It is not mine or yours place to define for those people what is better for them. It is exceedingly common for people to decide they want to change for the better for various reasons. Hence it is a commonly posed question in situations of expressing a preference.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 06:04 PM
1

Nothing is inherently better or worse than anything. Nothing has any inherent value or purpose. I am as specific as I can be: some people - for various reasons - like to change for better. It is not my purview to explore the various definitions of betterment or the reasonings behind them. I'm just answering why the question was posed to you. If you have no will to change for better, then that motivation doesn't apply to you.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 06:00 PM
2

Nothing is necessary. Some people just like to change into better people for various reasons.

Pretty sure men have been told their entire biological purpose for existence is to be replaceable from the time we're old enough to understand how and why animals have sexual dimorphism. My mom and teachers pretty well drilled it in that we are the disposable sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/25 08:12 PM

Oh, mainstream academic feminism. So in other words, representative of almost no feminists you encounter in real life.

/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/25 08:59 PM

No. It's informative but it is not educational material. Not all provisioning of information is a form of education. Like how I can inform you that I read the article, but you're not any more educated than before you assumed I didn't read it - you're just more informed. They didn't read the article. This tells us nothing about how educated their are on the subject. It does tell us they are uninformed about it however.

/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/25 02:19 PM

I don't think this is common.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/25 04:38 AM
2

Yeah no men don't care about this either.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/25 09:57 AM
1

Could be and probably true of most people. But it only takes one woman misunderstanding a man's actions for it to become a considerable factor for the man. Inapproproate behavior is defined by the person perceiving it, not the persons engaged in it.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/25 09:26 PM
1

Sorry I don't know what a gooner is either. Maybe I am missing something with what you're trying to describe. If it has something to do with working in a kitchen or knowing who Maya is... it's beyond me. But you're the one who defined being seduced as something men love, not myself. I explicitely stated that it makes me - a man - uncomfortable and is unwanted. Edit - Kaya, Maya, Gooner, whomever. I dunno who these are or what they have to do with men being sexual.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/25 06:58 PM
1

I'm not sure. In my experience it is also a bad thing for men to believe someone is flirting with them as this presents an imposition upon the freedom of expression by women.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/25 06:05 PM
1

Thanks no worries. That is still consistent. In my experience, men flirting is usually considered an imposition upon women's rights. Hope you have a good one too.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/25 05:57 PM
1

I don't know who Kaya is. And yes, men loving it is entirely the problem. Men aren't supposed to just do things because they love them. That's called abusing privilege. Men doing things they love damages society.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/25 05:48 PM
1

I don't know that you as a man can dictate the difference. If someone thinks something is seductive towards a man then it is that and that makes the man to whom it is directed a morally wrong person if he responds positively in that third person's opinion. If a woman simply made a verbal statement expressing that fact without any other action taken or weird language used that is reasonable. But maybe that could be considered seductive as well, so I don't know. Generally speaking if a man has any…
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/25 04:56 PM
1

I don't mean it in the sense of women being manipulative. I'm not criticizing women or making moral judgements about women. They are not the active agent in what I am talking about. Just men shouldn't be seduced. It's morally wrong for men to be seduced or respond positively to that. If someone was trying to seduce me I would chose to remove myself from that situation. I can't speak for how others deal with it and I am not criticizing women.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/25 04:50 PM

It's a very common critique of men's character that they are attracted to women and respond to attempts to appeal to that attraction. Hence it would reflect poorly on a man to respond positively to someone attempting to be seductive. This is not an indictment of women who engage in any given action or behavior. Just something that men are supposed to avoid participating in.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/25 04:42 PM

This would not be a factor. I'd love to learn how to talk better to other men myself. Who she is as a person would have an influence, however. This comment was automoderated as I am required to flair for my gender however there is no option to specify my gender.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/25 04:00 PM
1

"How to talk to men" sounds reasonable. I don't want to be seduced though. I would consider someone who wants to be seductive to have expressed a clear red flag. Men being seduced by women is considered a classically bad thing in society and I don't want to be a part of that factor. Just treat me like a normal person.

Are you not a man on here???
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/25 06:51 PM

Exactly. It's just an opinion, not an appeal for justice. You're the only one inserting a sense of oppression into the conversation.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/25 05:48 PM
4

Yeah exactly. It's not oppression as you assert. An opinion isn't a proclamation of victimhood.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/25 05:43 PM
5

Calm down, it's not oppression to consider how customers interact with the business. Men are allowed to have opinions about the business they frequent. It's not victimhood to speak up for ones interests.

Sorry my bad. I meant miscomprehensions of feminism by people who identify with feminism and who then would presumably engage in good faith. I agree with your points about people who don't even have that starting point. Not your responsibility.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/25 08:11 PM
4

I don't think it is a minority of men who feel derided by pop-feminism. But yeah, you should not change feminism. It's generally great. I don't get why you WOULDN'T want to correct peoples miscomprehensions though.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/25 08:04 PM
12

I think the catch is that there is a big gulf between what is commonly said in feminist literature and what is commonly said by people who self-identify with feminism. It's not unique to feminism. Most people are more or less ignorant of academic literature. But you'll read feminist theory and be on board and then get a totally different lecture from the real world feminist culture.

You're objectifying both women and men by reducing them to apperance. You can date someone without being disgusting and creepy.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/25 12:03 PM

Women can't be objectified if the phrase is common enough, got it.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/25 11:59 AM

Yapping? I'm not a chihuahua. I'm participating in a public internet forum. We're discussing the same thing bro. You're yapping too if so. Are you offended I am not "shooting a shot" at a woman like she's a hentai bukkake doll?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/25 11:57 AM
-2

I would never shoot a shot at a woman. That's demeaning and objectifying. And frankly a disgusting turn of phrase.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/25 11:54 AM

Ah so it's not "dress on point", it's actually "attend social events while dressing on point". Ugh. Glad this isn't something I have to worry about. Looks are very low on the things that are important to anyone in my life thankfully. We care more about who a person is than who a person appears to be.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/25 11:46 AM

Dress on point like wearing proper PPE for all 12 hours of shift? Or like the minority of time when I'm not at work or prepareing to be at work?

Yes that is what I said
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/25 01:19 PM
1

I didn't say all women.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/25 01:18 PM
1

Women. And you don't know either way, so why assume it?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/25 01:14 PM
1

Confident people are capable of action without thinking about how it impacts others. Strong people are capable of action without concern for how it impacts others. Many women are frightened by the potential of being overpowered or treated thoughtlessly. These are considered toxic and are also often asscribed to men. Thus toxic and masculine. Actually tall kinda bleeds into being strong. So yes that is also toxic.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/25 01:11 PM
0

Oh being confident is also a toxic trait. I missed that one.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/25 01:08 PM
1

Then why be uncomfortable about someone who hasn't acted on that?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/25 01:05 PM

"No, it could imply many things and your view is one perspective. It could be that men have certain expectations rooted in norms developed during this historical period in relation to work and romantic relationships and the consequences that the living memory has that’s passed down." This is correct and the appropriate way of framing the context. Thank you!
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/25 12:47 PM

"Historically men did treat women bad for centuries". For this point to be a relevant rebuttal to current behaviors of men it would imply that the majority of men are centuries old. I agree with the point you've made in the immediately above post, but it's not the only point you articulated. You generalized men based on things they weren't present for.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/25 12:37 PM
-1

Being physically strong is a trait of toxic masculinity, yes. Many women are often concerned that they could be overpowered by most men. Most men don't actually do that, so it's not about the actual choices made or personality of the individual, it's just the potential to succeeed if they made such a choice that is problematic.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/25 12:32 PM
1

Most people aren't Christian.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/25 12:30 PM

But you get to decide what is relevant and what the experience or men as a collective is??? How is that the expression of empathy you say we lack? You don't know my experience at all but here you've generalized me and explained away my motivations and personality based on sexism.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/25 12:25 PM

There isn't an alpha male but men are competing against other men. Not for women. For well-paying jobs, housing, and healthcare. We're not competing against alphas. We're competing against our bosses and political lackeys.

I'm not lying. I said I didn't see any men doing what you're doing. I don't doubt it is happening, but I saw multiple from you first and then stopped perusing. Your reputation is sown by yourself here.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/25 12:52 PM

I'm not going to spend extra time looking around. I wasn't in this thread long. But I saw about 3 or 4 of your posts and they were all sexist generalizations. Talk about warped.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/25 12:45 PM
6

I don't see anyone arguing that most women are anything. But you've stated numerous times that men are monolithically this or that. You're the one makinf sexist generalizations here.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/25 12:29 PM

Neither do your assumptions about men have anything to do with my preferences or sex life

Aren't more women than men gay?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/25 12:04 AM

Who's trying to justify being creepy to women? Usually the topic is that women are capable of finding literally anything a man does creepy. I can't be asked to not try to justify a man's existence in every possible scenario that a woman could label as creepy. In any case, women aren't obligated to be nice to men for behaving normally. You can't expect people to be nicer to you just for participating in society.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/25 05:24 PM
1

Do you do vasectomies?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/25 02:32 PM

Fine. I guess you're right. Myself and all other men say vile things about women and commit crimes.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/25 11:44 PM
2

Yes. That's why it's a generalization and not a fact.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/25 11:09 PM
1

So it's a false statement lol
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/25 10:25 PM
5

Okay well before you were generalizing to men as a whole
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/25 09:24 PM
4

Okay well same thing. Your generalization has no bearing on reality. I've never been to one of your chat rooms.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/25 09:22 PM
1

If men are already more violent than women as a baseline isn't that a tautological argument? Each pipeline plays up the already established gendered norms, they're not creating them.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/25 08:46 AM
4

I've never raped anyone, en masse or otherwise. What do some chat rooms have to do with my gender identity?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/25 08:44 AM
3

But who is they? You say this is about men, but that's not reflective of my actions. Is your argument then that I am not a man?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/25 08:41 AM
2

That's still an example of an unfair and wrong action. Generalizing hate based on a passing "bad moment" is not okay.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/25 08:36 AM
8

Dang that is pretty picky indeed.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 05:54 AM
0

That's a tautology. Most women presently deal with rape-y and murder-y men. If everyone was women women would still be successful but also not have to suffer from male violence.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 04:21 AM
0

I think it bears asking why such a simple solution to so many problems is never discussed.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 04:19 AM
0

Easy solution if you don't bother having a son in the first place. I don't see why women would simply choose to support a baby whose gender only comes with downsides and risks. Why not ensure a child's success by only raising girls? Surely love means doing what you can to help your kids succeed?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 03:58 AM
0

I don't see how it could be called love for anyone to raise yet another generation of abusers.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 03:49 AM
5

If women are so superior, why do they still let male babies live?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/25 03:16 AM

It's a post about dating on the internet. Of course the minority of a given gender is going to be used to represent the majority.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 04:07 PM
1

I never said anything about romantic involvement.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/25 11:48 AM
2

I didn't say anything suggesting men could not be abused. As far as I am aware, most men have been abused. It's usually the given understanding of why they become abusers. Pretty much every human alive has been abused by someone close to them.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/25 12:00 AM
0

I mean yeah. The only person who knows their own experience is the person who lived it. All anecdotes depend on you trusting dude. You may as well tell me not to trust the women who have told me that all women have been abused. I trust them to be truthful relating their experience because I have no way of knowing their lived experiences except by self report.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/25 11:47 PM
2

I have always been under the impression that it is common to believe all men are abusers. I don't think it is controversial to say that reflects on men.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/25 11:17 PM
-4

Literally women have been discussing this for decades. From what I've been told, basically 100% of women have been abused by someone close to them. I'm astonished there is pushback on this basic point considering how commonly it is discussed.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/25 11:16 PM

I agree and I think this is the real crux of so many men's issues.

No. You cannot approach a woman, even if you think she is flirting or hinting. It's not up to men to decide that a woman wants to be hassled. Men are expected to leave women alone in public spaces. Anything like a flirt or a hint is just a man's excuse for his behavior. Women can safely approach if they want to.
