But, but... false accusations are rare! FFS. I am so happy for this guy. The false accuser should be forced to carry out the sentence he would have been handed then this shit might stop.

SING IT, SISTER. Woman here, approaching mid 40s; I cannot wrap my head around this brand of feminism. I'm not entire sure what this Third Wave of feminism is after or what the objective is. First Wave feminists were campaigning for the right to vote. Second Wave feminists were asking for equal rights in the workplace. The message I get from the current Third Wave is "all men are scum" and "we are so incapable as a gender that we need protection from all men and we need to rig most of our system…

Friend of mine and my bf has just purchased body cameras for all of his engineers who make house calls. After he saw how easily a false accusation landed my bf in prison for eight years, he said it was a small price to pay to ensure his workers don't suffer the same fate.

Thank god that girl stepped forward with the information that cleared him. She really did save him. I am with you on this - after what I've gone through with my bf, I will always be skeptical of any rape claim. I've spoken with far too many people whose loved ones are sitting in prison on false accusations, totally failed by the system.

Same here. Without a doubt, the worst people I have ever worked with/for were women. I don't think any men made it into my Top 5 worst co-workers/bosses.

The UK excels at miscarriages of justice. It pisses me off how the courts don't give a bleeding toss about the damage done to men's lives as a result of these lies. Especially when it's clear that the public does not support leniency of false accusers. My BF's life is in absolute tatters after a wrongful conviction stemming from a FA and I've suffered fallout from it as well. People make judgements about me as I chose to stand by him. Mr. Malik's family has no doubt suffered the same. Truly disg…

Yes, my change of heart towards the feminist movement was waning over the years but it really made a hard turn during the 2016 elections. I've always felt more aligned with the Democratic Party but never was a fan of the Clintons. When the HRC campaign surrogates started berating women who supported Bernie Sanders, saying we only supported Bernie because "that's where the boys are" or that there's a special place in hell for me because I didn't support a fellow woman...well, sorry. I'm a free an…

Can I ask a question - the day after my bf was wrongfully convicted his accuser, her bf and some of her friends went onto his Facebook page (specifically an event that was posted to Public) and started making shitty posts about him being a convicted rapist. Did she blow her right to anonymity by doing that?

I am elated the shit is finally hitting the fan over the outrageous kangaroo court style justice Ms. Saunders presided over as head of the CPS. So now that "Believe All Victims" has been deemed a failed and flawed investigative method, will the victims of this policy have their cases reviewed? There are hundreds of men - my bf among them - sitting in prison due to a wrongful conviction stemming from a false allegation that never EVER should have made it to trial had the police actually conducted…

Acts of sexual foolishness or stupidity by men and women, particularly the young, have always happened. But, as Vine pointed out, ‘it used to be that women who made stupid mistakes with men, who had non-violent sexual encounters in dodgy circumstances – while drunk or otherwise intoxicated, in the heat of the moment or for a million other reasons – did not wake up the next morning and decide they had been raped. They took a shower, gave themselves a stern talking to, maybe told a friend about it…

It's an article from 2015 but still a fantastic one indicating how easy it is for men to be arrested for rape in the UK. Be careful out there, guys.

Men are going to have to have to pull out their camera phones and start recording these things. It may be the way equal justice can prevail.

I am so incredibly sorry you are going through this. I am truly starting to think I'm an anomaly of my gender as I cannot for the life of me understand women who act like this...they "put on the big girl pants" and act all big, but will go running to the police to play hopeless victim whenever it's convenient to do so. There is nothing admirable in that, yet everyone will fall all over themselves to call them heroic. It doesn't matter how much bigger you are, when someone is going batshit insane…

Yes, thank you. We are really struggling as his deadline for an in-time appeal (?) is coming up soon - 28th of March. He received a written reply from his useless legal aid appointed team saying they didn't think he should bother with an appeal even though he has 16 points of concern regarding his trail and his legal team. So we are trying to figure out what to do as he definitely wants to appeal. It's so hard with him being in prison and the limited access he has there, and with me being half a…

You are absolutely correct...an no worries, your english is fine. Yes, false rape IS worse because you've become an absolute pariah and you carry the burden beyond your prison sentence as you're deemed a sex offender yet you are completely innocent.

This makes me seethe. Not as much as the UK's refusal to charge any woman who makes a false accusation, but this is still very wrong.

Well, let me grab my popcorn and see how accused women like the Kangaroo Court style justice that comes with the Sexual Offences Act. Then let's see how many trials happen before the government finally realizes how bias and unfair they've made the system towards people accused of these crimes and "re-evaluates things".

Thank you so much. We are desperately hoping to uncover some messages - the fact there were only 3 text messages submitted for the whole trial always seemed suspect to me; I have a feeling there are text messages or other social media messages out there, the trick is how do we get a hold of them. One person in particular interjected herself so much that I wonder if her acts could be considered an attempt to "pervert the course of justice". She was a friend of the accuser and tried to file her ow…

Yes, female here with boyfriend who was recently convicted and sentenced to 8 years on a false accusation in the UK. The legal aspect has suddenly become very personal and it is now a life's mission to fight the horrendous bias that has created a kangaroo court for men in the UK. And in the UK, their legal definition or rape is "penetration by penis" so according to UK law, a woman is incapable of rape. I agree with all you have said. I, too, have no patience for blanket hatred of any group.

You are right, unless it is a male / male encounter...? A rape is when a person uses their penis without consent to penetrate the vagina, mouth, or anus of another person.Legally, a person without a penis cannot commit rape, but a female may be guilty of rape if they assist a male perpetrator in an attack. from https://www.cps.gov.uk/sexual-offences Interesting indeed. I'm learning a lot as the result of this experience. A real baptism by fire.

I hate to say it, but I think you're probably correct. It is insane that sexual offences seem to be the only criminal charges where the burden of proof switches. The Prosecution does not have to prove "guilt beyond a reasonable doubt", but rather the Defendant is forced to prove "innocence beyond a reasonable doubt". The prosecution only has to prove "probability" it happened. The defendant has to prove it didn't happen (and proving a negative is pretty damn difficult). Or, if the sexual encount…

As some of you know, I'm busying working on an appeal for my falsely accused boyfriend who was convicted and sentenced. I came across this page and it shook me to the core...how on earth can this be acceptable? The prosecution no longer have to prove “Beyond Reasonable Doubt” that the offence occurred. The civil burden of proof has instead been inserted into Criminal Trials, leaving the jury to make their decision based on the ‘Balance of Probabilities”. Which is a much lower burden of proof, wh…

Thank you! Will check up on Erin Pizzey. And people have been sending me DM links of collapsed cases. It seems the UK judicial system is in a real crisis when it comes to these sexual assault allegations. I have just uncovered a horrifying little article from https://www.falselyaccusedhsa.co.uk/legal: Why it is so easy to Prosecute Sex Offences? For those who are still unaware of the facts:- NO EVIDENCE IS REQUIRED TO CONVICT ON SEXUAL OFFENCES The Criminal Justice and Public order Act 1994,The …

This really annoys me because my teenage daughter loves creating apps, and she's actually really good at it. Right now she is the only girl taking advanced App Development (at a school with over 3800 students), and she is one of the top five pupils in the program. She hasn't had any problems with any of the boys in her class; they all work together, support each other, and get along great. I know if any boy said something derogatory to my daughter she wouldn't let them get away with it, she'd fi…

I don't understand the blanket hatred of men that comes from some of my fellow gender and it's that attitude that really put me off the modern feminist movement. I know she's trying to be funny or make a point, but the fact she would rather be intimate with a plastic vibrating thing instead of experience intimacy with another human being is, in reality, a cold and sad statement. Consensual sex with another person is one of the most amazing, glorious experiences we can have in this shitty world.

He and his accuser had been chatting for six months on FB Messenger prior to her accusation. I only saw two (maybe three) mobile phone texts as part of discovery evidence. One was an exchange between the woman and my BF...she sent a joking text to him as she left his place, and he responded later asking how she was. The second was an exchange between her and her boyfriend asking him to come home as she needed to talk to him and it was important. That's all I saw as evidence.

The way they seemed to give up halfway through the trial certainly raised suspicions/ questions. I find it extraordinary that they warned my BF about the hostile climate to expect in court, but when he voiced his concerns about the 9 women on the jury, they dismissed him as being paranoid.

What's amazing is my BF was charged with "assault by tongue" -- the woman leaned in and initiated a kiss, this is captured on CCTV, and yet he was charged with assault. This jury clearly had it in for him. Problem is, last year BF's barrister represented a defendant in a rape trial that had an extremely controversial not guilty verdict. It made national news . I can't help but wonder if some of the members of the jury might have recognized his barrister's name and had it in for him.

My UK boyfriend was recently convicted by a jury of a 8 women / 4 men on a rape charge that was made against him about eight months before I met him. This is a false allegation from a woman who cheated on her boyfriend, and we sincerely believed the jury would look at the evidence and see this for what it is ...relabeling. Post sex, the woman stayed with him several hours, even left the bed a few times and returned. She offered to give him a lift in the coming days to a meeting , hugged him when…

yup, I'm in full on shock mode from bf's guilty verdict and having to battle the plaintiff, her boyfriend and friends who are all over social media posting disgusting photos and horrific comments. I just want to say, "Come on, you guys already ruined his life, you won. Fuck off, please." And by "battle", I mean I'm reporting posts and deleting things that they are putting on his Facebook pages... after I take screenshots of everything, of course. I'm not going to engage with them on any kind of …

yup, bf just found guilty in a rape case with a girl who got drunk and had regrets. No chance to appeal, likely 4-6 years in prison. His life is fucking ruined because some young blonde felt guilty about getting drunk and cheating on her boyfriend. (I should note that this event happened eight months before I met him.)

;) It wasn't the Spanish inquisition, but often just random questions I had. And obviously he talked about it a lot. I was the first person he felt he could freely talk about it with. So I did ask a shit ton of questions ;)

sorry for taking a few days to reply; his trial is over and no, I don't think he had a fair trial at all. He was found guilty. I'm in absolute and utter shock...how did this happen? Jury was stacked 8 females to 4 men. My bf raised concerns about this to his counsel, but he was told "It's ok, they're middle aged women and they know how young women operate." (The counsel who told him this was an older woman) Additionally, he was eager to testify; he and I worked all weekend on mock trial type que…

My heart goes out to this guy. About eight months before I met my boyfriend, he was arrested for rape, an incident that was really "post-drunken-sex regret" on the woman's part. After they had sex (during which she was a happy and willing participant), she stayed in bed with him for several hours, cuddled with him, offered to take him somewhere the next day, and even sent joking texts to him. Apparently she started to feel guilty about cheating on her boyfriend as she sobered up. She went home a…
