There are upper and lower limits for height based on a persons job, for example tank crew or pilot. I didn’t mean to imply that the tall generals and admirals I worked for were not competent. As a veteran, it was clear tall people are ranked above their peers and achieve higher station much more frequently. The military has an image to project.
