Gender Studies CareerPeople like to crap on niche little degrees like this, but it’s really less about the content in most liberal arts degrees (and plenty of technical ones too) and more about the approach to learning. Not that I necessarily know how good or bad the approach to learning is in a typical gender studies degree, but really that’s what matters more than the content. For most of us with college degrees, we might remember snippets here and there, but I highly doubt we remember substantive content from eac… | /r/PussyPassDenied | 04/04/21 01:27 PM
“race and inclusion” editor fired after claiming “its always a white man” in regards to shooting perpetrated by muslim immigrant from syriaSaying shooters are always [pick whatever race you want] men is literally racist. | 1 | HappinessDating isn’t a zero sum game, though. If that’s how you feel, say it around women! That way, a woman who finds it unattractive won’t be interested. A woman who shares your feelings on the matter will be interested. If you approach dating as a zero sum contest to be won, you’ll never make your true self obvious to potential mates and the possible actual matches won’t make themselves clear. People go around treating dating like a game and they wonder why everyone sucks. Here’s a hint: you attract … | /r/PussyPassDenied | 26/09/20 07:10 PM
400 Million and Spousal Support?!? Ridiculous...I have the same aspirations as you, although my wife and I are co-owners of a business, so we're very much 50/50, and being co-owners like that tends to only make divorces worse! But like I said, it really, really all boils down to attitude and approach. If there is, say, a one million dollar pot of money, and a prenup has split it let's say 80/20. $800k to spouse 1, $200k to spouse 2. Well maybe the spouse with less wants to get more. So they both hire divorce attorneys. Maybe it goes on for a … | /r/MensRights | 09/07/20 06:43 PM
400 Million and Spousal Support?!? Ridiculous...Substantially. Very substantially. There are other downsides, of course. Generally worse tax treatment (unless it’s two high income individuals), no easy health insurance coverage from your employer, some more legal headaches here and there, and potentially reduced parental rights in the event of a breakup. But by and large it is entirely possible to craft a marriage-like arrangement between two people without getting married and thus without the potential pitfalls of divorce. In almost any juri… | /r/MensRights | 09/07/20 04:13 PM
400 Million and Spousal Support?!? Ridiculous...Depends on your state, most importantly, but prenups are tricky for things. They always have to be reasonable in the eyes of the court or risk being thrown out. Which basically means a spouse has to get a healthy chunk of things. So if you’re a lesser-earning spouse, the higher earning spouse can’t just entirely carve you out. And generally you’d need to get more over time. A spouse married for 2 years carved out of some income might be more ok than one married for 30 years, so prenups need to p… | /r/MensRights | 09/07/20 01:51 PM
400 Million and Spousal Support?!? Ridiculous...Lawyers aren’t superheroes, and community property is stringent. This is why mackenzie Bezos got billions and billions. Amazon totally predated Jeff bezos’s marriage and there was no way around it. And let’s remember since it’s 50/50, both spouses have access to the best attorneys in the world. It’s much easier to keep assets separate if they’re passive investments though. Dr Dre or Jeff Bezos can’t do that as well because they go into work, and the product of their labor is split. Dr Dre couldn… | /r/MensRights | 09/07/20 01:37 PM
400 Million and Spousal Support?!? Ridiculous...I really feel like the true men’s rights issue isn’t what happens in a divorce, per se. After all, it’s a contract knowingly and willingly agreed to. Ignorance of the ramifications isn’t much of an excuse, and it’s absolutely no excuse at all for the wealthy. The real issue is the lack of alternative arrangements to marriage, particularly if children are involved and parental rights are important. Fact is, if you want to have kids and protect your rights to them as a man but also protect your fi… | /r/MensRights | 09/07/20 04:45 AM
400 Million and Spousal Support?!? Ridiculous...Honestly, given that Dr. Dre lives in CA (community property state) and got married in 1996, a prenup may not have done much. In a community property state, every penny earned during the marriage is 50/50 by law. Now, obviously Dre had success before 1996, and he could absolutely have put that money in a separate account. But any new money he was making post-marriage would be 50/50. And he wouldn’t be able to commingle the pre-marriage money at all. If he did, poof, it’s all community property. … | /r/MensRights | 09/07/20 04:34 AM
400 Million and Spousal Support?!? Ridiculous...Prenup doesn’t matter much at all of you make your money after getting married. Especially if it’s a community property state, then it really doesn’t matter. | /r/MensRights | 09/07/20 04:23 AM
Jay Cutler ain't having itIt’s like nobody on this thread understands family law at all. First off, almost all divorces now are no fault. You don’t need a reason to get divorced. And why should you? Or, for that matter, why should you be obligated to publicly share the private details of your life to get a divorce? Second, “that judge” is for the most part just following the law. He or she isn’t just going rogue, they’re doing what judges in cases like this do. Third, marriage is a contract between consenting adults, sub… | /r/PussyPassDenied | 05/05/20 04:18 AM
Female protester claims a man touched her breasts, and then punches the man. Man knows how to use pepper spray to tame the wild bitchI think the reasonable thing to do here would be assume it was a mistake due to the cramped surroundings, instead of freaking out in a charged environment. Yes, obviously some people will be able to get away with crap in that kind of environment, but accidents do happen all the time. And even if you do think it’s a real grope, you don’t have to go and punch someone, because you may well be wrong. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 27/03/20 12:33 AM
Society makes me feel like a pedophile just for being a manI do think you’ve found a bit of deeper truth here, but on a superficial level the actual risks involved are essentially meaningless. People feel like male strangers pose a threat to their children regardless of actual risk. Meanwhile they’ll let their kids hang out with family members they trust who are approximately a million times more likely to pose a pedophile risk than a random stranger because of their access to the child. Point being, people are terrible at risk assessment. Hundreds of p… | /r/MensRights | 25/02/20 04:31 AM
Kesha’s false rape claim struck down and she’s ordered to pay $373,000I follow similar logic. I don’t really have any business being a judge of these kinds of things, but I do feel like I’m inherently suspicious of any negative story told in the context of a contract dispute. This goes especially for people in the middle of a divorce. No way I’m going to care to tarnish someone’s reputation in my mind if someone is making allegations in the midst of a divorce or a big contract dispute of any sort. We all know people lie in situations like that and they shouldn’t b… | /r/PussyPassDenied | 21/02/20 12:05 AM
DeniedProblem is, if you love suits, lawyers generally wear the worst suits. Baggy, conservative, dour, etc. Not always, of course, but it’s a fine line between tastefully upending that style trend and looking too flashy. Go figure | /r/PussyPassDenied | 09/07/19 07:47 PM

Brazil soccer star Neymar accused of rape. He immediately gets on Facebook to show thread of their conversations that it was consensual, even more, nudes after sex. She allegedly made accusation because he refused to give her moneyI’m not saying anything at all about this situation. Your original post I read as speaking generally rather than about this specific instance since you opened up by saying “these dudes” and all. Any specific points of evidence about why this one person did or didn’t do what he is accused of are entirely different from painting in broad strokes about superstars not needing to rape. Which is what I was rely to. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 03/06/19 03:00 PM
| -4 | Brazil soccer star Neymar accused of rape. He immediately gets on Facebook to show thread of their conversations that it was consensual, even more, nudes after sex. She allegedly made accusation because he refused to give her moneyIt’s been shown time and time again that rich and power and famous people can rape people just like anyone else. Look at all the powerful people wrapped up in #metoo stuff. Bill Cosby was an incredibly successful man as he drugged and raped women. Darren Sharper was a 5 time pro bowler and even a good looking guy and still drugged and raped women. Circumstantial evidence relating to imagined reasons why one is sexy or desirable enough to not “need” to rape someone is essentially useless. Hell, e… | /r/PussyPassDenied | 03/06/19 02:35 PM |
