Im guessing you mean divorce doesn’t exist in your place? That still doesn’t mean they stay for love LOL! They just now have no option but to stay. But whatever, you’re delusional and won’t listen to logic.

Staying with someone YOU cheated on (if you’re lucky enough to get another chance) involves 0 effort. That does not mean he still loves her, as cheating is not a loving act. He may stay for the kids, so others won’t find out, because wives are beneficial to men, too much work/money to divorce, etc. That does not = true love.

Cheating degrades anyone who does it, whether they think so or not. You’re comparing cheating sex to a woman having regular consensual and monogamous sex with a husband/bf. One of those isnt degrading and it sure as hell aint the regular sex.

I would think to focus on other areas of life you are confident in. Other things you can be grateful for, I’m sure there’s something. You’re also strengthening your “loving myself” abilities when single (or should be). That self acceptance will have you in an abundance mindset because no matter what, you know who you are and need less validation from others.

Never said men were expected to make more. Some will be like your sister but for the most part there’s so many women who support broke men and they aren’t even married. Pretty sure they’d be just fine with a man who earns around what they make/can support himself decently.

Wouldn’t that be even more reason to find it attractive? Since by then it’d be rare? I think most people want someone similar to them (making a lot=probably ambitious=wants to be with an ambitious person). I’ve only ever heard that men get more attractive as they age because of maturity. Money/career-wise that probably means “has their shit together,” as in a car, their own place, complete financial independence from parents, etc. Not “they will have lots more money than women by then!”
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/22 02:06 PM

They don’t understand that if all women “didn’t act like whores” then men wouldn’t get to have that fun pumping and dumping. They’re okay with being hypocritical because after all “the girl chose to have premarital sex so she doesn’t deserve basic respect.”

It seems society almost always has an excuse for men’s behavior so they are not blamed. Cheating/violent/lying? Its his biology, or what did you expect, weren’t you taught how some men can be? Or finding ways to make it seem like its mainly the woman’s fault: you didn’t give him enough sex, you aren’t perfect yourself, why were you being so difficult/bitchy, well you picked him so YEA. The list goes on and on. Some men will think its not true or get pissed at hearing this, but you really don’t s…

Well you could argue they aren’t really “treating you right” if you’re someone who wants a monogamous relationship. Which a majority of people do. These harems and multiple wives existed because it was made legal for men to enjoy that privilege. That’s why it doesn’t really happen for women at any point in history, besides maybe some royalty. Multiple wives didn’t exist because the women WANTED it that way, but because it was imposed on them as correct and “the way of life” by their religion/cul…

Its true. You see a lot of women dating guys “less attractive” than them too, very rarely the other way around. Its subjective, but since these men take anecdotes as fact, well there ya go. Women also get certain privileges the “hotter” they are, so its nothing new. Of course prettier people will get better treatment. Its something most people accept at some point, these men do not want to. If you point out that most people are average, so most people dating (casually or LTR) are going to be ave…

A lot of men have the “upper hand” (i guess?) in dating because they do those “courting” things just long enough to get into a relationship. Then they stop and become almost a totally different person. But I guess that’s what OP wants. So I guess congrats? Cause its already a thing. You’re not gonna get with anyone of quality and who can make your life better by doing all this. Its not a healthy relationship when you’re measuring who has “the most power”

Best ways for women to find a good partner would be to be a little selfish, even a fraction of what a lot of guys are in their dating lives. What I mean is, women will stay even after getting cheated on, lied to, all sorts of red flags because they’re conditioned to be all about “love” and not “sweat the small stuff.” They’d find better partners if they leave or challenge the guy on the first sign of bad/disrespectful behavior. You get what you put into things, in this case not being so desperat…

I dont think its fair to consider men’s “values” as being biological, while stating that for women its just economic. I think both values come from the way the genders were brought up in society. We love to say men and women are the way they are because biology, but most of those “biological” reasons are advantageous to men but negative for women. I think it should raise brows when these “reasons” push for explaining how men are (boys will be boys) but pushes shame/punishment on women (men are “…

Exactly. Like.. then go find interesting women. Why do you keep going out with ones you dont find interesting? Since he’s so judgmental, I’m sure its not too hard to pick out the “basic bitches” from the “cool down to earth” ones. He just groups all women like that cause he truly thinks all/most women have or do “nothing interesting.” And so much of what he says is misogynistic. Have no idea how he can read what he says and thinks yup thats what im gonna submit as my reply.

I dont think its that women “rather” its intimate than emotional. I do see women putting up with or staying with the man if its physical cheating. Most likely because society has kept up the lie that all men are just way hornier than women, so its “bound to happen.” They think as long as they’re the main woman, wearing the ring, etc. that that signals his real devotion to her. The physical cheating was just “lust that all men just sometimes can’t control. Doesn’t mean they don’t love you.” I do …

I think same as the reasons it hurts for women. Its rejection, betrayal. Breaks your trust and usually breeds insecurity inside of you, of not being enough (not being man or woman enough), not being fun/good looking/funny/interesting/etc enough. These are usually insecurities we feel early in life, at least at some point, and then events like cheating make those insecurities or feelings flare up. Like a dormant illness. And if you already had bad self esteem/self worth, then it just makes that w…

Competence would probably best be fostered in men the same way it is for women. By just having higher expectations for them, and shaming em when they dont meet them. Now, thats toxic and shouldn’t be happening to women either. The normal way would simply be to hold people accountable. Men and women have kids out of wedlock or a stable relationship, and it is still mainly the women getting shit on for “spreading their legs for the wrong guy,” essentially absolving the guy of moralistic parental d…

“Why would a man hold himself up to the standards he expects of his woman.” This one is the answer. Women’s expectations aren’t too high, they just expect what most men and society has expected from women for…forever? And surprise, surprise, they hate it. Only difference is men weren’t raised to serve and be selfless, so they’re pissed and VERY vocal about it. About… the bare minimum.

What are these so called “too high” expectations, though? I’m really curious to know. From what I’ve heard from some men, in real life and online, one thing is they think women want a man to earn more than them. They tend to be the same kind of men who don’t get why his unemployment status bothers her so much. Obviously there will be some traditional women who will want that, but majority dont want to be stay at home. I think people tend to get with others who are around the same ambition level.…

This. Men here think every guy is like them: misogynistic/ see women as objects or property. Not all men are like this. They’d probably call them simps or something, but fact is those are the people we’d rather sleep with/have a relationship with.

Is this really common? Like women out on their first few dates with men, not friends. Either way, I’d guess she either wants casual sex so is setting the tone for that kind of thing. Or seeing if you two are sexually compatible (clearly not because you’re judging her for it). I don’t think they’re bragging or something, women tend to think all men have had some experience, or more experience than them. She’d probably trying to figure out how freaky you are. While that’s not the way I’d go about …

Could be true for some really gross men. Question is, how do we get them to see women as people without a selfish reason like “they finally gave me sex!!”?

So the problem isn’t these HVMs “using some women like a cum rag,” but its that women “let” themselves be used like that? I don’t know what world you live in, but you see attractive women with average/below average looking guys ALL the time. Very rarely do you see the opposite. Attractive guys are normally with women as attractive as them, or more. Who are you to say certain women aren’t making their partners feel wanted? Youre basically basing female success/good personality on whether a guy tr…

This is a big tell on those who don’t really see women as people. Or see women as below them. Because they think a woman can’t ever be right. Or make a good point. Even in other cases where there’s two opposing sides, men will acknowledge that not everyone thinks as they do and can accept it (differences in religion, etc.). But once its gender related, they just have to be right on everything. Not really how the world works.

I don’t know about #1. Its known that a lot of men will ditch their wives in times of stuff like cancer, whereas women will stay and take care of their husbands in the same situation. This is so known that people studying or preparing to enter the medical field will be trained on how to handle the very big risk that the cancer patient’s husband/bf may leave. Number 4 just sounds like men want the convenience of having their kid’s mother in the house taking care of them so they don’t file for div…

How would you know the guy didnt cheat, or was nice and good? Because he told you? Divorce is a lot to go through especially with kids. Sure, some people may be crazy and create drama for no reason. But I’m confident most people aren’t that crazy, and would never want to go through a shitty divorce unless they had to. Abusers and shitty people in general aren’t likely to air out their laundry so think about that for a sec. On the other side of the coin, men initiate divorces less. That may have …

Apart from other things mentioned, I think part of what makes women dating “harder” than men is the fact that women face more risks. For example, all the women you hear about that got killed/hurt for saying no to a guy. Guys can get hurt too of course, but let’s not act like it isn’t a bigger problem for women. I think everyone has it hard with dating nowadays because of OLD, lack of socializing in real life, people not valuing relationships and commitment as much, etc. “Harder” is very subjecti…

What makes you think most marriages dont end because of abuse or adultery? Feels like most of what I hear as reasons are either, or a mix, of those two.

I do agree some women today still function on the belief that they need a man in their life. That a marriage/relationship is what makes their lives whole. This largely has to do with upbringing and the values and expectations we have on boys vs girls. Everyone should be complete by themselves. Then we wouldn’t have so much hurt and struggle in relationships. I think we’re going to be seeing a LOT less of that though, in the younger generation. Women are already gearing up to lives without men, b…

For one, I think you’re conflating giving advice to criticism. Not just by your post but the comments below. Why would it be weird think that a WOMAN might just know a thing or two about what WOMEN want. Sure you can take advice from a male friend who has sex all the time. Most of these guys are dating immature women who haven’t learned to stand up for themselves in a relationship, speak their wants/needs, not totally make their lives about their SO, etc. And you’re not gonna be happy for long w…

I think part of why this rule is a thing is cause guys thing women fall in love with you and your dick instantly, or they “can’t detach feelings from sex.” Which is just not true. Some girls are like that, and even some guys are like that. Not a gender thing. I’m part of the had sex early but still together with the person for a while now crowd. Some may say its “the exception, not the norm.” I think it has to do with respect, good intentions, maturity, and that special feeling (not the one in y…

And before anyone gets in their feelings, I’ve actually had some great casual experiences (save for a couple bad ones). But that could be because I’ve only had a few casual encounters. This doesn’t take away from my friends and lots of other women’s experiences, where most of their fwb suck at casual sex.

I think single women’s negativity is because this whole movement really highlights just how much “men are incentivized by sex to commit,” as OP says in their post. Of course, who doesn’t like sex (well some people, but you know what I mean). But for that to be the whole reason you do kind things like bring someone flowers, go on dates with them, listen to them lol. I think a lot of women finally see this for what it is and are fed up with it. Because casual sex should be fun for both parties. No…

That’s where the conversation diverges, because some people believe its women who made these standards. And then some, like myself, believe these standards were made by men. Social norms don’t ever come out of nowhere. And the ones that become accepted by society, were always made by people in power. I mean, a kid wouldn’t be able to make any social norm/standard because who would listen to that? Its always been a man’s world. They created these standards. Its why men react the strongest when ot…

Thats not always genuine chemistry and attraction though… a lot of people don’t get feelings involved when having casual sex, men and women. Plus you can be attracted to enough to have a nice one night stand, but that doesn’t mean there’s actual chemistry or interest to continue with a relationship. Don’t know why some guys equate sex to the start of something, especially since they’ve been the ones having causal fun for centuries.

I think theres lots of women, like me, who didnt date or have sex their entire lives up till young adulthood (or more in other cases). I dont agree with bitter men because i also longed for a relationship, but i never felt like i was owed one. A relationship didnt happen back then for many reasons, most of which involve me not putting myself out there. Or me just not being ready, even though i still really wanted my mind’s version of a good romance/intimacy. Ive always felt pretty lonely too, so…
