That is no one's problem but theirs; they're the only ones being affected negatively and missing out on improving their worldview. What are you even arguing? That people should change their minds on the spot when presented with rational evidence? Great. Wish it worked like that. It doesn't though and there is no point in complaining about it. Weird place to put your soapbox, is what I'm saying.

This sub was mentioned in a post listing subs filled with toxic people. I've been looking at the top posts from the last week trying to determine if that is the case. Most of the comments are not worth the electricity, but the toxic ones are relatively few. There was at least one user being explicitly sexist towards a woman in the comments for no good reason, and she was downvoted. That speaks ill of the climate. Seems like they said what the issue was. She didn't want any criticism, even constructive criticism, in response. That's probably another issue about expecting agreement and positivity no matter what. That's a discussion for another day.
