Wanting to be loved as a human ≠ "wanting to be mothered". God forbid humans utilize empathy. Do women want to be fathered? They do.

Consent can be withdrawn at any time. Just because you lay in bed and have sex once doesn't mean you consent to it again. Both people have to agree to do it again. Sleeping naked is sleeping naked. You don't just automatically consent to letting the other person do whatever they want with no limits. And certainly not spreading disease on purpose while the other person is asleep. You've been reported for telling OP his sexual assault wasn't real. You will be banned from this subreddit.

Ah, but emotional hardness is a weakness in this modern world. And emotional awareness is a strength. Being ignorant of your own emotions lands men in prisons, into mental health institutions, and into lack of success. It is emotional awareness and emotional fluidity that will embolden men to navigate this modern world with a greater strength and resilience than ever. All the guys out there trying lift the strongest weights and stay as stoic as possible are preparing for the wrong war....those a…

[wtf am I even talking about, lol] You are talking about amazing things. When I literally feel so down, so worthless, like the world wants men to be dead and gone and that I am just hated and filthy trash, Someone like you who acts with harmony and balance comes to provide support. It means a lot when it's a woman because it makes me believe that perhaps I am not really so hated. Thank you so much for chiming in. I just wish for the world to be in harmony in the end. There's so much madness. I k…

You can support men's rights. You will receive immense hate. It will be extremely uncomfortable. Just like anyone who ever stood up for rights when it was unpopular. African-Americans in the 60s, or original feminists in the late 1800s. Both had everything from tomatoes to actual feces thrown at them. It's not easy. But it's been this way since the beginning of time. If you want to advocate for something, it's gonna be hard, and you have to be brave and take a risk. Feminism and racial equality …

If we let them, they will keep doing it. You gotta cut through the fear and do something bold. Show them this guide. Educate them (I mean, they love to do that too don't they? Now it's our turn). You are fully within your right. Yes, is is 100% true, we should have a world with equal rights. That includes equal rights for men. That includes education for women on the rights, thoughts, and feelings of men and what is abuse. You are fully within your right to enforce healthy boundaries, feelings, …

I was not equipped with the knowledge and confidence Well I'm telling everyone, man, keep that guide in your back pocket (or, you know, on your phone), ready to pull up. Women are within their full right to educate on actual, genuine issues, but so are we. If we have to listen, so do they. They may not like it very much at all, but this is a world with equal rights on the horizon. Don't be scared, don't feel stupid. It's actually ok to feel scared, you probably will, when you feel like other peo…

Playing the victim continuously can begin to pull on another person when the person playing the victim never ends up contributing. It's different, of course, when a person is truly disabled or sick. But when it is not genuine disability or sickness, it becomes using another person. Emotional illness becomes a difficult one, because it is true illness, but a person still needs to (at some point in time) find ways to contribute so the other person isn't being used as the one who does all the work …

We are never taught how to be treated. It isn't even a thought. The lesson? "Put up with everything, your feelings and condition don't matter." No wonder men die earlier. You will sacrifice and lose everything if you do not learn otherwise. Remember this: in a world where men and women are truly equal, women are not the prize. Men are not the prize. We are just human beings of equal standing.

I am fully sorry for what has happened. But for what it is worth, it is a good thing to hear that you now realize this. This is a paramount first step towards greater self and overall realization. Thanks for sharing, man.

I still naturally support some points brought up by feminism, basic ones from earlier waves such as consent, genuine equal rights, etc. This makes full sense of course. But an individual's rights stop where another individual is getting used, abused, or hurt. There are more and more young (and some older) feminists today that seem to believe that women's rights means getting anything and everything you want, even at the expense of others. Life will always be challenging for men and women. It wil…

That's the key gender issue that it really seems to boil down to when you look at it all. No one wants to be used, and give without getting anything back. Be taken from, without being allowed to take. That's it. No one wants everything pulled out of them without getting anything back. Essentially that's it. Whether it's a concrete resource like money, or your body. Or something more abstract like dignity. What many women don't realize is that many men give up their body for them. Our blue-collar…

It's ok, but there is still support available for you. I can recommend r/adultsurvivors if you are looking for support from your peers. I can also recommend rainn.org for support when it comes to sexual assault. There are resources there that can help you find a good therapist who is sensitive to that topic, which is important. I am so sorry for what happened. Good luck, friend.

Yes. It is backwards. Because no one has ever mentioned that it is wrong. Who will? I invite you to. It will be uncomfortable and you may receive animosity from everyone. But someone has to be brave. Please, brothers, we must. I dare you to stand up for yourself because fortune favors the bold. You cannot lose your job or get in trouble for standing up for abuse. It is abuse! Why is society not seeing that? Time for a change.

Yes, to a degree, I agree. That's why I never picked it up, so no need for me to abandon it. Yes, 100%, that's what I want: human rights for all. Now, that does, by default, mean that some of those rights are some of the things that feminism talks about. But that doesn't make the movement good in and of itself, especially in its current form. It also, by default, brings up many men's issues, as men are human. These are the ones I hope to bring to women's awareness, but I am also willing to hear …

You seem really upset at this point, and I honestly feel like the defensive attitude isn't helpful. Not in making conversation, not in helping men. I'm sorry. I never once stated that feminism = women or = women's rights. I'm not sure why you keep getting caught up on that. You're using exclamation points where this is no need. I am a native english speaker, a good one at that. I suppose you believe all feminists are the same? They're people that gave themselves a label. There's all different ki…

That's silly, they are a certain way. This is a huge mistake. They say the same thing, "men are a certain way". I say they've met one man, they've met one. You are free to do as you choose but I will not make the same mistake. They are not all the same. Many of them are, but not all. That nuance is very important and it is the truth. But also, I never said any of us should join feminism or even support the movement as a whole. I'm just saying that a few of their points and struggles are valid. T…

As stated, I'm not a feminist. I don't live for women. I'm simply willing to talk to some of them without letting them walk all over me, and am able to communicate my own points whether they like it or not. I'm also willing to consider some of their points that actually do hold truth and validity, while disagreeing with the ones that do not and not allowing them to convince me otherwise. It's very hard, but I'm willing to push outside of my comfort zone. I believe this is what is best for myself…

There is a loss of respect that happens when we act in a way that isn't respectful towards others. You seem to also view this as a zero-sum game, I don't. I can maintain my self-respect, disagree with much of feminism, while still agreeing with portions of it, and not calling myself a feminist because I don't agree with the movement as a whole. I can also openly disagree with many of the talking points. That is self-respect, and not allowing myself to ever be a doormat. It's also maintaining the…

I agree that feminism is not synonymous with women's rights. But there is some overlap. I am adamantly against the anti-male sentiment. It's gross, it's anti-human (men are human), and it doesn't do anything for anyone except help ease the vitriol of those who want to put it out there, and replace it with schadenfreude if they are so lucky enough to get revenge. This is why I do not call myself a feminist. But I'm also not going to discount the women out there who stand for the highest good of w…
