It would stop me. It would be frustrating as hell, but I don't want to catch anything or get anyone pregnant.

And if they try to convince you otherwise, insist or stop entirely.

I have to agree - personally, I find that a lot of the material I read here is about making the woman comfortable with the man, but I want to feel comfortable with the woman, too. But really, I should be pushing myself out of my comfort zone, and if I do that my comfort zone will get bigger.

Maybe it's not about preserving a relationship that he has no investment in, but about preserving his own self respect.

The key takeaway - you can have a staring contest with people who you can afford to piss off or alienate, but probably not wise to do it otherwise That might be a key reason why this can work as a response to a shit-test - it demonstrates abundance mentality because you don't particularly care if the woman gets pissed off or alienated.

It's not everyone's goal, so that will contribute to the "poo poo"ing

To help emphasise #2 - I've been taking Jive/Salsa classes once a week (on and off as I had foot surgery twice) for a year. Now I help teach the beginner class.

I would be absolutely interested - it'd also be applicable to other types of game (e.g. chatting on internet dating sites), so could prove more useful than you initially believe.

and after you've timebridged the day2 so they are enthusiastically interested in the date. Could you go into more detail here? Timebridge isn't in the glossary, and google isn't helping.

Once again, fantastic post. Plus, it helped answered my question from the other one. Bonus!

Don't get me wrong, I'm damned certain that my hobbies are attractive, but it's translating them into game is the difficult bit. Or should I be going around, offering attractive people chocolate while speaking another language? :p (Note, though that was sarcastic, I didn't mean it in an offensive way, merely an example of how I can't quite see how to make use of them [edit] As in DHVs, or mentioning them without it coming across like I'm trying to show off)

London is, to be absolutely honest, a really poor representation of what the UK is actually like (and insanely expensive) I think the accent thing might be, for the most part, only applicable for going to America. You guys seem to love our accents. Other countries not so much.

As someone in the UK I would greatly appreciate it if you could go into more detail as to how it's "worse"

Well, that's a difficult question to answer (but I guess that's part of my problem) There's of course the usual - watching films, playing games, reading books. I get together with my friends and play board games (Twilight Imperium for the win) and DnD. I personally love doing anything creative - painting models, painting on canvas, drawing, making short films. I'm learning to cook better, but I also sometimes make my own ice cream and chocolate. I'm currently on a bit of a knitting/crochet binge…

Fantastic post! Perhaps the most helpful, encouraging, and relatable ones I've seen here for quite a while. I just wish my hobbies and talents would be that translatable to my game. Maybe I'll find something later.

For the record - I am not trying to be argumentative here. Why is talking in a club frustrating and pointless? Isn't it because you can't hear people and they can't hear you? This solves that problem.

Well, it worked for me quite well, so it probably depends on the person. [edit] Also, would you care to explain why you think that? You might be right, or maybe I didn't explain correctly?

I've got to agree with you there - having just watched this, hoping I would learn something, I feel that I've come away from it with nothing.

I greatly appreciate your insight. Quick question, since you're a fellow Brit, do you find it hard to hear people in clubs/bars? TBH it's something that annoys me a bit about the inevitable American-centric PUA advice - from what I can tell, their definitions of bars and clubs tend to be very different from ours (then again, since you're in London, it may be more like their scene, unlike up north)

Have you considered going to dance classes? They can get you used to moving in a supportive environment.

However, I want to add that some people are not receptive to the idea. Real life example, I suggested ice skating, and when she realised I would be much better than he she got very put off the idea (although I did offer to teach her)

Very good, I just hope people don't get bogged down in the nomenclature ("She called me nice, that's the bad one!") as some people often use them synonymously. But, there is a definite difference in the concepts, whatever words you want to use, and drawing attention to that difference is important. I look forward to the follow ups.

That's good advice - I've been on POF and getting frustrated as some threads will be dropped by women after they respond to the first message, and others will carry on for a while, then drop as a rapport develops but before the number close. I'll keep this in mind - cheers.

As a Brit (a geordie Brit at that) when I read the posts here I can't help but think it's more difficult. But then I'm only starting out, so I could just have a skewed perception.

That's a very good point - I had previously found the same with earplugs, but I never thought of actually bringing them to the bar (or having a witty explanation for it)

I know what you're saying - I often join my friends outside to have conversations while they smoke, though the second-hand is still irritating.

I see advice a lot of the time to go to bars by yourself to try and hone your game, but I'm a little confused as to how this can actually work? All of the bars anywhere near me are far too loud to hear anyone in. Also, genuinely, how do you go to a bar by yourself and not look like: an alcoholic? someone with no friends? [edit] Thanks for the advice so far, however I still feel impeded by the fact that bars are too loud to hear anyone in. I guess I have to work on having a confident loud voice w…

This is more an observation on the community, but it seems like the vast majority of the posts come from people saying they are in school or college/university. Are there seriously no members here who have been through all of that, gotten a job (and thus unable to do any daygame), and yet still have trouble with this? Seriously, it makes me feel pathetic, because the only people who seem to be having trouble are those who are younger than me.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
