(Toxic)Masculinity is necessaryAight. Clearly your victim complex is very powerful. There's no point debating any further. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 06/02/19 01:19 PM
(Toxic)Masculinity is necessaryI never said that at all. I have a feeling you are projecting a bit. You're really going to sit here and tell me women have more power than men when 70% of Fortune 500 companies are headed by men, men control the vast majority of wealth, and decide the majority of the laws? Really? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 06/02/19 01:13 PM
(Toxic)Masculinity is necessaryExplain exactly what is irrational and hyperbolous and why, otherwise this statement is hollow. I am not going to prove something that you can easily see if you go to nearly any feminist group or talk to any feminist. During the early days of MeToo, Terry Crews was regularly praised for being a masculine ally to women. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 06/02/19 01:08 PM
(Toxic)Masculinity is necessaryMysogyny and mysandry fall under the broader scope of sexism. I'm telling you where it's likely coming from, not denying the sexism exists. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 06/02/19 01:02 PM
Feminist mothers attempting to raise their sons to be feminist or gender-critical: how does this affect said boys' upbringing and mental well-being?But it just isn't. Can you provide an exampole of what you are talking about? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 31/01/19 03:30 PM
Feminist mothers attempting to raise their sons to be feminist or gender-critical: how does this affect said boys' upbringing and mental well-being?That isn't what feminism is about. Perhaps you just realise you are the one who needs to change, but do not want to. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 31/01/19 02:06 PM
(Toxic)Masculinity is necessaryYou are twisting my words around without even bothering to understand them. "Naw when a man is being misogynistic people call them that. They are two different concepts with similar roots that affect a lot of the same issues. The distinction is made because some people don't think women can be misogynistic, the emphasis helps clarify why they are behaving against their own interests. Just as an oppressed minority can still help sustain oppression against their own people, a woman is certainly ca… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 31/01/19 02:04 PM
(Toxic)Masculinity is necessaryYou are not using effective logic here. I never said those things and feminists do not say those things. There is nothing wrong with being masculine or feminine or any variation in-between. Feminists applaud women who act masculine and men who act feminine. They also love masculine men who are good allies and generally good people. Terry Crews is a very good and relevant example. You are twisting words in order to make my position sound hyperbolous and irrational, when it is not. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 31/01/19 02:00 PM
(Toxic)Masculinity is necessaryI am not sure how that is difficult to understand. Think about it for more than half a second before you react. Why is being a man who wears hair product, talks freely about his emotions, admits to crying, or anything else traditionally seen as 'feminine' a bad thing to be insulted about? Why are men made fun of if they wear skinny jeans, short shorts, or even dresses? Why are gay men, especially bottoms, often hated, dehumanized, and ridiculed? Becuase when a man does something traditionally se… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 31/01/19 01:55 PM
(Toxic)Masculinity is necessaryI am not sure I entirely understand your question, but I wil try to answer it anyhow. Woman can internalize misogyny easily and are pretty much conditioned to do this. From a young age girls are taught that they need to dress and act a certain way to avoid provoking boys, but also to simultainiously be 'girly' enough to be attractive to them, as if that is the only thing that matters. Like, there are honestly so many examples I'm having a hard time choosing some. Here's some more: Everything abo… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 31/01/19 01:43 PM
(Toxic)Masculinity is necessaryObligatory sorry for slow response. Naw when a man is being misogynistic people call them that. They are two different concepts with similar roots that affect a lot of the same issues. The distinction is made because some people don't think women can be misogynistic, the emphasis helps clarify why they are behaving against their own interests. Just as an oppressed minority can still help sustain oppression against their own people, a woman is certainly capable of supporting the patriarchy and to… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 31/01/19 01:25 PM
(Toxic)Masculinity is necessaryOf course women are capable of bullying, so are men without it being related to toxic masculinity. That doesn't change the issues that DO stem from it. These other instances of bullying have little to no bearing on this debate. Also, feminism has always ackowledged that women are fully capable of internalising and projecting mysoginy themselves, making them part of the problem as well. A woman that makes fun of a man for not acting sufficiently masculine is projecting her internalised mysoginy. … | /r/PurplePillDebate | 28/01/19 04:13 AM
Feminist mothers attempting to raise their sons to be feminist or gender-critical: how does this affect said boys' upbringing and mental well-being?How, exactly, is feminism not for men? I am a man and embracing feminism has done nothing but improve my life. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 27/01/19 10:47 PM
(Toxic)Masculinity is necessaryWhere has this 'revelation' come from? Do you actually have any tangible, logical reason for this or is it just bias? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 27/01/19 10:40 PM
(Toxic)Masculinity is necessaryWhat? Feminists celebrate that shit literally all the time. I'm always seeing posts on the pages I follow about men who do 'girly' things with their children, admit they get emotional and/or cry, and a bunch of other things society has branded feminine. Feminism has helped me so much as a man. I consider myself pretty average as far as masculine/feminine is concerned but it is a relief to embrace things I was formerly ashamed of. Now I have to confidence to take a cloth shopping bag with my lunc… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 27/01/19 10:36 PM
