Yes, but take things one at a time. Learn in bite sized chunks. Part of the reason some people go the "just be good looking bro" route is because learning all these nuances can get overcomplicated fast if you don't approach it in a slow, deliberate manner. Look up: Coach Kyle, Surgical Pickup, Todd V - they're all great on technical game

let me somewhat elaborate on each of them and why they matter according to the context direct: learning where being direct helps... matters, because even if you're a good looking guy who a girl is attracted to, cutting to the chase is often important. There are good looking guys who a girl crushes on, who never ends up with said girl because they beat around the bush too much and the girl eventually gave up. In a cold approach context...you often DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME to get with the girl, so cut…

At that point, it doesn't matter if he's direct, indirect, serious, playful, shows intent, hides intent like mysterymethod, makes assumptions, uses interview mode etc etc. She's attracted. He just needs to escalate and not completely creep her out /u/jspen110 /u/IntrepidFoot is exaggerating here, it's not quite *that* simple even though there's a grain of truth in the importance of escalation and not creeping her out. Everything he mentioned has some importance too - EVEN IF A GIRL IS ALREADY …

It's a real shame this post got upvoted so much. Shows how the userbase is going down the drain. I recommend that people reading this, if they want to *truly learn*, to just skip ahead to blogs like WestIndianArchie, books like 'Magic Bullets' , 'Revelation', etc. My core response to the OP is "it's not all about you and how comfortable you need to feel, you're not entitled to not being burdened with cold approaches it in the same way I'm not entitled to women acting perfectly when it comes to s…

"I'm not really into night life so not really interested in night game. " You're going to have to make yourself into nightlife then and/or become solid at online game. Daygame is only a viable thing in places that aren't mostly deserted. It's a waste of time otherwise. If you want to stick with daygame, your only option is to move to a better city. I hear Austin is decent. NYC, Miami, Chicago, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles are also all stellar. I guess you can throw Boston into the mix as well.

Where have you seen it bashed? I've seen some low star Amazon reviews for it, but the same thing applies to every book. " where it really shines in my opinion is how the material is presented and ordered " Yep, it's really one of the best books out there. I recommend it to every beginner. It's said that it isn't the go-to option. Wayyyy too many people worship Models by Mark Manson or get stuck in the RSD youtube funnel.

The shift to a "much more natural approach" was arguably a bad thing. I regret following 'Models.' It's the most overrated book of all time. The pendulum hasn't swung back yet, but I think it is starting to swing back, and that's a good thing.

exactly. You should write a review of it on Amazon. /u/zenplus It's a mistake to ask this question in this subreddit. From what I can tell, most people here have little to no experience with PUA other than reading a few articles on it, or reading "The Game" out of curiosity one time back in the late 2000s. "But it seems to me its just spam approaching." That's totally wrong. There's so much more to it than "spam approaching." The ones who actually know what they're doing won't even spam approach, because they don't need to. Look up Todd Valentine…

I think the PUA community back in the day deliberately used such jargon to distinguish themselves from everyone else. It started out on the old IRC/Usenet channels in the late 1990s/early 2000s after all, when people on the Internet were less self-aware on average than they are now .

it's been years since I read any of that. I do get field reports from some friends in the NYC PUA community I know in real life that are pretty realistic though, especially given the fact that I've seen them do the same things they write about in person. here's a recent example - does this seem realistic to you? Keep in mind I've been with this guy in person and seen him do very well with cold approach. The first day I met him, I approached this one girl, hit it off with her, introduced her to h…

I haven't read any TRP FRs in a while, though that's because I almost never even browse the sub these days. Part of the reason why they seem embellished might be because they're written in such a way to make the writer look good, or to prove a certain point. For instance, I can write a story about how abusive one of my professors used to be, and because I'll focus on all the details that make him look like a PoS to prove a point, it can look a bit exaggerated. Likewise, if I write a story about …

"How does every person on TRP" I hate to be pedantic, but obviously not 'every' person on there mingles with 7+'s. I'm sure there's a portion in basement dweller mode. Obviously, the most upvoted posts will be success stories. Now, it shouldn't be far fetched to assume that many of them do. I'm guessing you live in some small town in middle America? Since 2013? When it comes to daygame and nightgame, mostly rehashes of older material packaged with more up-to-date aesthetics and marketing. If you watch vids from RSD Max's "The Natural" for instance, the biggest difference between that and older guides is the fact that it uses an HD Camera. When I think of "Fuck yes" I think that if she's at a "maybe", she should be moving towards a yes that is very clear. If she's not, there's not much you can do. yeah, I agree. I don't think that's what "fuck yes" implies though. I think this advice is very good for beginners because it teaches them to focus on the women who actually want them, and not on trying to "win over" women who they have no chance with ever That can be valuable experience though.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/18 09:08 PM

Interest is a "Fuck yes". I don't believe there's much you can do to change a woman's mind about whether she thinks you're attractive or not. The thing is there's a difference between "Fuck yes" and "maybe, probably yes," and a further difference between "maybe, probably yes" and "no." There are lots of women who otherwise would be great for you and you for her, who you will thoughtlessly turn aside just because they didn't seem "fuck yes."

Neil Strauss is a compelling writer but IMO he's a shit teacher. "The Game" is a fun, well-written, motivating story but almost useless as a game guide. It's also written from Neil's perspective and there are many people who dispute his version of the story. I never read "The Rules of the Game" but from what I hear of it, it's mediocre.

Mark Manson achieved his initial successes through the old school PUA community. He wrote "Models" as mostly feel good material to appeal to guys who don't like the complexity of PUA and to appeal to his female fanbase. BTW, what forms of PUA have you actually tried ?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/18 06:55 PM

Yeah, I like some of what Mark Manson has to say, but I don't like the idea that people should just read his stuff and ignore everything else. For instance, I think "fuck yes or no" is a horrible idea if you're a beginner. Beyond horrible. If you're a beginner, you should be interacting with as many women as possible, and trying to fuck the ones who are attractive enough (who aren't your coworkers), so that you can learn from experience.

Absolutely. Coming across PUA and the overlapping personal development material associated with it is one of the best things that ever happened to me. I was on a shitload of anti-anxiety/anti-depression meds just 4 years ago. But, my biggest gains came when I stopped reading r/seduction, quit reading books like Models or Magic Bullets, stopped watching RSD videos, and just started going out with the intention of learning. Well, yeah. There's a reason Mark Manson, Love Systems, and RSD stress the importance of going out. That doesn't mean you should stop reading/watching/listening to guides however. You just have to digest them one bite at a time, while you take action on a regular basis.

It's a bit of a non-answer, but I think everyone needs to internalize that there is no such thing as rejection. Women are not rigorously evaluating your worth as a human being in pretty much every context aside from spending a shitload of time in a relationship with you (and even then it's not so reliable). Much of it is 'fake.' One thing you might come to realize is that much of the "real world" is fake as fuck, and sometimes you have to embrace that. It's partly a numbers game, but also partly a matter of realizing what qualities you like, what qualities you don't like, and improving your skills in persuasion, calibration, empathy, etc.

In my opinion, the kind of radical honesty espoused in 'Models' is only helpful in certain circumstances. It's unrealistic to be completely authentic* 100% of the time. Let's say you're in a snobby club in LA where everyone is trying to act cool to fit in. In that context, being able to "just be real" is a breath of fresh air in a stifling atmosphere of conformity. In the context of dating, being authentic as a man can often come across in a positively refreshing way, because many men put on an …

PUA is as lively as ever, it's just monopolized by RSD. As for how to seduce women, there is something to be said about the fact that the average partner count of men which stands at 5-7 Most men have always been mediocre since the dawn of humanity, no shit. Now however, you can try pickup but if you aren't wealthy or good looking already, it is hard to see how very hot women will bend over for you. Improving your wealth and looks is very doable. yeah, the black pillers are a vocal minority who specifically use the word 'incel' but there are lots of incels who don't use that word and are the male feminist type, I know quite a few of them in real life myself, and I'm sure you also do. Why did it get deleted though?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/18 07:00 PM

the most insidious effect of the "true self" myth is incels rationalizing that they shouldn't try to change their shitty attitudes because it's their "true self" Now, most incels on the Internet these days seem to choose 'muh genetics' as a rationalization factor instead, but those are the black pill ones. The Blue Pill incels, more common back in the day, are the ones who would opt for the "true self" excuse.

LMR is not a tactic. It's a phenomenon where girls on the verge of having sex will not smoothly agree to having sex because of a variety of reasons (feels it's "too fast," feels she needs to know you more, is on her period, is worried that she might smell, not aroused enough). The way to deal with it depends on the reason. Too fast? Slow it down, show you aren't needy for sex by having an enjoyable interaction. Feels she needs to know you more? Same thing as above. Period/smelliness? Statement o…

Women have millions of men to swipe through on Tinder, and because of how often men-right swipe, even an average woman has many more matches than she can ever handle. Therefore, it compels them to select for the cream of the crop. On Tinder, that's almost entirely based on pictures, which means that pictures of model looking men will do the best. That explains the disparity between a model and an average man. Keep in mind that just because a girl matches with you doesn't mean she will definitely…

Yeah, I like a lot of what it has to say, but it can be a very harmful book for beginners because of the fact that it dissuades them from game/PUA (which is where Mark Manson started! He was Entropy, a PUA who used old-school pickup to achieve a lot of success before peddling feel good material).

Oh, and one final comment. Self-improvement helps, but it's no substitute for actually interacting with women and learning from your experiences with women in a thoughtful manner. That is.... Getting healthier, more muscular, and more fashionable will help (tremendously!), but a muscular well-dressed adonis who doesn't interact with women (which often entails going out of their way) will not get them. It won't magically make girlfriends appear. They will get more IOIs, they will get many more ma…

The simple answer that will probably annoy you is "practice and experience." A few tips to help you along the way: -Consider making yourself be the extremely touchy-feely guy at the start, to see how much you can get away with. You'll realize you have much more freedom than you might think (obviously, back off and stop when she shows discomfort) (and don't do this in your social circle. Many daygamers, myself included, just don't bother with group sets in daygame. There's a difference between daygame group sets and nightgame group sets in that groups in daygame are mobile and intent on a specific activity, whereas groups in nightgame are more stationary and intent on socialization. Even if you're comfortable when it comes to interacting with group sets in daygame, it's just too much effort. I wouldn't think too much about it. There could be a variety of reasons, some of which might not even be your fault. You actually aren't doing anything wrong, from an absolute beginner's standpoint! This is totally normal and something I would expect from anyone doing their first few approaches, because cold approach is something inherently nerve wracking, and a girl will feel that nervousness from you, which will easily lead to the "I have a boyfriend" response when you ask for the number. Here's what you should do: -Continue doing more approaches until you get desensitized to approach anxiety, which will lea…

Day Bang and the INDIRECT method it proposes is useful for absolute beginners struggling with AA, but the real power in daygame lies in going DIRECT. I've tried daygaming Roosh's style in NYC from around summer 2015 to fall 2016, but the issue with it is that the indirect style he proposes can only work if the girl is going to sit around for long periods of time, which is a rare situation in NYC given how fast paced things are and how 99% of girls are either moving from place to place or sitting…

You're pretty much right on the money. People should make a distinction between proactive manipulation with malevolent intent, proactive manipulation with positive intent, and what you can call passive manipulation (aka anything you do that has an effect on someone else; e.g. smiling at someone).

I'm not Todd but I'm experienced enough to chime in. When you start doing cold approach, you'll realize how many of them are much friendlier and warmer than you expect. Even if you go anywhere with them, they'll compliment you on making their day. Keep in mind that I'm basing this on my experiences in NYC which has a reputation for rudeness. Sure, every now and then you do come across a girl who is abrasive for whatever reason, but it never is a big deal for you or the girl (who likely is just h…

to add on to what /u/anon1moos said, if you do cold approach enough, you'll realize that many girls look alike It's not surprising given that: -girls tend to follow fashion trends which makes many of their outfits identical -an attractive girl will have many of the same features other attractive girls have -voices and accents can often sound identical; we all know what it feels like to meet someone new and notice that they sound very similar to someone else you already know Every time I cold app…

I live in NYC. To add onto what Todd said, NYC is absolutely viable for daygame in the winter. If you're heading here in April though, that's when spring starts to set in, so you won't really have to worry about snow getting in the way. When it's snowing out, I prefer daygaming in indoor locations, of which there are multiple options full of hot women here in NYC (seriously, you can walk into a CVS Pharmacy and see loads of model tier women).

Normality is subjective. Coolness is subjective. I think it's lame and a bit abnormal to walk around everywhere with your eyes down and a bitch face. Are you in Finland or something? It takes a lot of balls to cold approach. It's something only people will an elite level of confidence and skill can pull off. At the start, you'll be very awkward and uncomfortable, but with time you'll acquire a very useful skillset along with a million times more social experience than everyone else. You have a r…

"I just mentally can't" you can. It just takes time and mental effort. At this stage, you just need to push through your approach anxiety weasels and get approaches done in spite of these thoughts holding you back. What you'll find whenever you do the approaches is that it never turns out as bad as you thought it would.

I live in NYC and one of my main wingmen/friends fits your profile. He balances out being tall and black by dressing well and grooming himself. It works out quite well for him. Also, don't worry about the recent stories about sexual harrassment. It actually doesn't seem to affect cold approach pickup at all. You'll never get some shrill random woman bitching and comparing you to Weinstein or whatever just for approaching her on the street. Check out RSD Jeffy's video on the topic.

That makes sense. I agree with what you're suggesting, but at the same time I'd say it's still necessary to get 1000+ approaches under your belt while learning game techniques and strategies under that paradigm (though you don't have to be analytical about them in the moment)

This sentiment isn't new. In fact, it's more than a bit annoying that every now and then, some pickup veteran who has managed to internalize tactics to the point where they're second nature, will want to feel better about himself and say "hey guys, I've learned that all you really need is to be yourself! Don't bother with 'game.' That just works on damaged women!" (vomit) Having said that, there is some truth in your article. What I would disagree with are these assertions: game only works on 'd…

One quick thing I'd like to add in addition to what the others are saying is that you should expect to suck at faking it at first. It is supposed to be uncomfortable and awkward. The idea is that when you persist in doing it, it becomes more comfortable with time. Any skillset follows this pattern. I sucked at the guitar until I didn't. Everyone sucks at walking until they don't. It's not "fake it till you make it," it's "do it until you get used to it." At the start, it's supposed to be rough. …

What's that bot called that you can ask to remind you of something in any given amount of time? You should set that to 1 year (or 4 or 8 or whatever). Back in the Obama administration, I thought it was hilarious how so many were screeching about him being the anti-Christ. These delusions about how Russia hacked the election are even funnier (or sadder) because they're generally from the same type of people who realized how full of shit the hystrionic bullshit was about Obama.

Yeah, it's not about the line. It's about how you deliver it, what you do right after, how you respond to her reactions, your body language, your intuition of what she's probably feeling and thinking -- all of which can be learned with experience and reflection.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/17 01:00 AM

It simply isn't true. There's a field of knowledge in the PUA community that's still growing, and even people uninterested in casual hookups can benefit in it too. I've found that some PUA gurus (RSD, Nick Krauser) are far better teachers when it comes to topics like relationships and general attitude towards women, than the more politically correct / mainstream sources like Dr. Nerdlove and Charisma on Command.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/17 12:59 AM

Complete strawman. PUA is simply seduction broken down in a non-nebulous way. It's not about "fooling women" or rehearsing canned lines. That's a caricature from the old days of the early 2000s that wasn't even accurate back then. It also isn't just a numbers game. I could go up to a 100 women and go "duhhhh" while looking at her bug eyed and I'd fail with all 100. This is a great question, because when I first started out back in 2014, this was possibly my biggest problem. You've a great first step in pinpointing what the problem is. Exactly! While daygaming I still find it funny that if I smile at a random stranger, it causes an instantaneous click-whirr response (they usually instantly smile back or look away). It's not that we're like animals, we are animals. Our instincts and behaviors don't just date back to prehistoric man, but to millions of years of evolution when "we" weren't even Homo Sapiens yet, and there's proof of that in so many subtle ways.

This is the perspective of someone who considers himself an intermediate daygamer. You're an absolute beginner, correct? Like, you just started within the past few days? It's social circle game if you meet someone by being introduced by someone else (or if you're forced to work/interact with them). It's warm approach game if you're in the same college (even more 'warm' if you're in the same class) and you approach her randomly.

the people who do cold approach tend to be the people who aren't looking for long term relationships and marriage You'll see stats saying that the vast majority of LTRs and marriages come from people who met through social circle and none through cold approach. I used to use Roosh's style as outlined in Day Bang for daygame in NYC, but I've found that the London Daygame Model (which is direct) is far more potent for the vast majority of daygame scenarios. It's difficult to go indirect on the street, on the subway, on a college campus, and other locations because girls are often on their way somewhere, which makes it frustratingly tricky if you beat around the bush. I recall that on more than one occasion, a girl would just quickly tell me where the pet…

Do you live in NYC or a place like it? It can be the culture of wherever you're at. Here in NYC I've noticed that the girls who return my eye contact usually tend to be tourists from other parts of the world. Also, it can be due to the fact that many girls these days deal with social awkwardness and anxiety as well. This is a problem that isn't just limited to guys!

Transformation Mastery by Julien Blanc is the most cutting edge product out there on this topic. I highly, highly, highly recommend looking it up. https://julienhimself.com/self-help/ a friend of mine showed it to me. Now, I had already solved my problems regarding depression and low self-esteem by the time I found out about it, but as I went through it I thought "this is more or less the solution I indirectly found out on my own through years of hard introspection." So it didn't really help me …

Nope, it isn't weird. Your friend is completely wrong. Don't listen to them. I could write multiple paragraphs on this, but all I'll say is: give it a try. It might work out, it might not. If it doesn't work out, it isn't a big deal at all. There are other girls out there in the world. Report back to me and this thread when you give it a try. Ignore anyone posting here or on other subreddits telling you not to.

yeah, but his advice is still 100% legit and every other infield is also top notch. I find that my daygame sets that go well feel pretty similar to his regular infields, so I don't doubt that they're real.

Oh, and I have a few questions for you OP Where are you situated? Is it a large urban center? A suburb? A third world country? These are all relevant in determining what strategies you should take. What are your goals? Finding another long term relationship? Having a bunch of casual flings? What's your level of income? If you're rich, feel free to take more than one bootcamp. If you're more like me, don't bother paying for anything other than books and one comprehensive video course like The Nat…

I don't recommend bootcamps. If you want to shell out the $, I recommend 30 day immersion programs, although those are only available in certain cities like NYC or Las Vegas. Bootcamps only last for a weekend, not worth the money in my opinion, though I've never tried them. If you're rolling in cash it might be worthwhile to take multiple bootcamps, but again, I wouldn't really know. Here's what I recommend you do. Join the RSD Inner Circle for your area. Look it up on Facebook (btw, do you live…

ah, in this case, because your problem has been a lack of escalation, what you should focus on is implementing escalation (and nothing else) when you encounter a girl who shows interest, escalate logistically by babystepping her to a more secluded location (so that her anti-slut defence isn't activated by physicality), then sexualize the conversation and/or lightly touch her to gauge interest, then just take things from there

Your advice is pretty much on point. I've met one girl who was like this. Didn't seem to react at all in the moment, but felt the need to bitch out through text...right after she sent a couple texts that were nice and friendly. Felt like I had dodged a bullet. Girl was a young geeky type with anxiety issues.

Is it your first one? If so, just focus on enjoying the experience for the first time. Have fun and relax. Don't get caught up in applying intricate pickup theories. In subsequent ones you can start to spice things up a bit, but for your first one just focus on having fun.

Haven't read such bullshit in a long time. It doesn't matter when you get the number. IF she is interested, you can get it in the first second, even after 20 years... doesn't matter at all. Women are no computers, and life is no computer game with where you can use certain combos. This sentiment is somewhat correct, but the way in which you get a number does play a huge factor in whether or not it'll be a flaky one. If you just ditch her right after getting the number, it can have the effect of …

When you leave right after getting the number, it causes a drop in emotions that can make her feel like you came up and took something from her. I call it the "phone number bandit" effect. Sometimes, you don't really have the time to stay in set after getting the number, but when you do have the time, I would highly advise applying /u/GameAndGains advice. Ideally, you exchange numbers on a high point in the interaction, which can be as short as something like 30 seconds in, then plan out the D2 …

I responded to your other thread, but I'll answer this quickly. It's great that you're practicing wherever and whenever you can! Too many guys get caught up in the fact that they don't have access to the best locations, so you should give yourself props for making the most out of wherever you are. A few things... Don't get caught up about your age. Nick Krauser was in his late thirties when he first got into pickup, and now at 40 something he's one of the best daygamers in the world. If you feel frozen and unable to execute, it's likely you're suffering from emotional blockage. The key is to form a chain of "whys." Ask yourself why you were unable to execute. Is it anxiety? Is it analysis paralysis? Then ask yourself why you have that issue, then keep going further and further. Sometimes …

It's not baseless. I don't even have to use any funny sounding lock&key analogy, which would only provoke an inane counterargument of "we're PEOPLE, not objects" or something along those lines. It doesn't take much effort or skill for a woman to have sex with a lot of men. It does take quite a lot of effort and skill for a man to have sex with a lot of women. Therefore, a sexually promiscuous man is generally more respectable than a sexually promiscuous woman. I don't view sexually promiscuous w…

I don't think of things in terms of one person "deserving" another. People are with who they're with, and it is what it is. "What would Michelle Carter's SMV be currently?" I don't believe in using a very detailed quantitative scale. I'd say that she would be a 2 for most men. She isn't ugly, but not really someone to brag about. "What would you guess for Michelle Carter's RMV at age 28 years?" I'd say that the majority of men w…

One thing I've been noticing recently is that the lookism/sluthate crowd has been clogging up pretty much every manosphere space. It makes sense, because the types of men who focus on getting out, learning game, putting in the work, and getting laid are the types who can't afford to spend relatively much time on the Internet. On the other hand, the types of men who obsess over the idea that looks=everything, that you're doomed unless you're blessed with demigod genetics, that even trying to go o…

A little background info for this thread RSD isn't really affiliated with the manosphere or TRP, although they're a commercial entity that does share similar ideas. I've met quite a few of them in NYC, and some of their fans (a few of which are friends/wingmen of mine) are feminists. You'd be surprised... Here's a vid by one of them, I know her personally: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXfQDgwGrKM She's not a fan of TRP and figures like Roosh, but does believe in men learning pickup.

I've met RSD Tyler (real name Owen Cook) in person. A female feminist friend of mine has seen him run game in real life. He's legit. I've also interacted with others affiliated with RSD, and seen them work their magic. Of course, I'm just another stranger writing words on the Internet...

Any time of the day? Well, the streets are available every single waking moment of the day (barring circumstances like blizzards and hurricanes). Learn daygame. What kind of area do you live in? If it's an urban center, you can meet girls by just waiting outside your home and looking at who walks by. If it's a suburb, just take a trip to the nearest busy area (mall, grocery store, park). "based on assuming the woman wants to have sex, but is unwilling to say so." Sure. Women and men want to have sex. The former mostly don't want to be perceived as being too easy, which is where last minute resistance (poorly worded term, better thought of as giving-plausible-deniability so that she can tell herself "it just happened") comes in. "Maybe she's scared to resist. After all, if you've been lifting; you're bigger than her..." There's a huge difference between being so intimidated that …

Everything is down to looks No, just no. I can see why you would think that from your very limited experience, but 'game' - vocal projection, body language, ability to read a girl's blueprint, willingness to lead, capacity to calibrate to different circumstances, knowing to be perceived as non-needy, among other things - can often make a huge difference in whether you get the girl or not. There are "Yes" girls, like the ones you've been with, who have selected you right off the bat based on fact…

Wow, where you located? I live in NYC. I haven't had girls approach me in this fashion, although there are women at places like Union Square who are employed for the purposes of attracting attention to some cause or another.
/r/seduction02/04/17 01:52 AM

Another thing: British girls may put up bitch shields (in the same fashion that some American girls will put up bitch shields) but once you manage to maintain frame despite that circumstance, they'll become more friendly towards you. Also, here's another idea to keep in mind -- bitchier=/=harder (likewise nicer=/=easier). You can have bitchy girls who'll melt in your arms once you pass their shit tests, and you can have nice girls who are just very friendly but have no intention of fucking you.
/r/seduction02/04/17 01:31 AM

I live in NYC. It's very, very, very wrong to assume that American girls are just "naturally friendly" and receptive to strangers. When I first started out, I got the impression that approaching is a major faux-pas, but really it just takes experience and having the attitude that it's perfectly fine to talk to strangers. Once you have that down, girls pick up on that 'energy' and are more receptive in turn. I'd go with the London Daygame Model. If you want to learn, it's best to learn with struc…

This also strikes at the core of it. However, I think it's less "seeking a balance" and more "what part of the reputation-results spectrum are you in." The answer doesn't always lie in the middle.

Yeah, right on. Extreme over consumption of information is an extremely common problem these days that isn't emphasized enough. It reminds me of how people generally didn't care about smoking back in the day, but do now because of a greater awareness of its effects. I wonder what the Internet's effects on people's capacity to focus will do to society when compounded for another decade or so.

This is one of the best pieces of advice to implement in this day and age. It's the "Information Age" after all, so why not learn to control how you consume it? There's a reason many religions recommend fasting. It makes you appreciate food so much more. The same thing applies to consuming information. I've found that I did it so unselectively that I didn't get much out of it. One disturbing epiphany I had came from asking myself this question - do I even remember what I read on the Internet yes…

I'm pretty surprised to see so many users react so antagonistically, but I guess I shouldn't be. Neil Strauss was a professional writer and journalist before he ever became a part of the seduction community. He knows how to write a compelling story, and I'm sure he recognizes that he needed to stretch the truth a bit in order to write one, because reality is often a bit too boring to be made into a proper bestseller. Pickup was never the same after the release of that book. From what I recall of The Game (which I read before ever delving into RSD), it came across as less of an honestly writ…
