There is absolutely no good reason for a man to get married. Men do it because they are "in love". 75% of the time after you get married you'll either get divorced or be miserable. If you get divorced your life is ruined more often than not and your chance for suicide goes up 50%.

Humans aren't monogamous. Humans are polyandrous. In our species women control sex. Most women take on several sex partners in their life time and women control who is having sex. This is why some men will have five or six different women on the hook and some men have none. Women are in control and women chose the alpha males they mate with. This is why at a minimum there is a 10% false paternity rate.

One point that wasn't made yet, most arrears child support payments go to the government. Point being, when the accused man doesn't pay the government steps in and pays for him and sends him the bill. This is hugely convenient for many single women because, this is where paternity fraud really makes men slaves. A man can literally learn two or three years after a child's been born that he's the "father" and it's too late. He's on the hook solely based on a single mothers word.

This book has the stats on paternity fraud. 10-25% of all children are being raised by a non-biological father unbeknownst to him. When you include divorce it's almost half of all children are being raised by a non-biological father.

There is no gender pay gap. Statistically speaking a 2% difference isn't a difference at all, and that's what the difference between what women earn compared to "equal" men, men who also happen to work more hours and have more experience. Women are by and large, taking women as a whole, from college graduation to retirement paid more than men are per hour. -Ooooo! I said it!

A woman engineer would have to totally fuck up her resume to not get a job and a well paying job at that. We are desperately short on women engineers. Rare. Very rare. We gobble up the women engineers graduating from local colleges every spring and fall. The hiring of the best of the graduates can get ridiculously expensive. I've seen women who were mechanical engineers get 70k as fresh graduates.

Monogamy is not how humans mate. Science says less than half our ancestors (33%) are male. A small 30% subset of men have been doing all the reproducing for generations and for millennia. Marriage is recent and ineffective at producing paternity. When taking divorce in to account 1 in 2 children are being raised by their non-biological father. It's not monogamy. If you want to know why men do most of what they do read this. Men have had a roughly 50% chance of reproduction for eons. A lot of men won't like this but, one of our primary drivers is reproduction and the prevention of other men reproducing. The state doesn't want to pay to raise the child. If fathers could opt out that would leave the state to foot the bill, because, the statistics prove it, women don't want work. Most shelters have no way of dealing with men at all.
