Wait, what? The point is that characters on screen are supposed to be written as good characters, regardless of gender.

social rights versus basic human rights human rights are rights that should be given to everyone in the world within reason social rights are rights that should be given to everyone in the immediate country / first world within reason The difference is kind of huge. It'd be fantastic if one day social rights could become human rights and there would be no distinction because we are all on the same economic level but right now we can't ignore that living in the first world we have it much better …

The title doesn't do this much justice. For any outsiders, don't get us wrong--WE WANT FEMALE REPRESENTATION IN MOVIES. We just don't think this test is the best idea to do so. If all action movies had badass leads like Ellen Ripley or strong, confident women who aren't put there to obviously be women in a movie the film industry would be awesome. But all this does is give filmmakers another hurdle they're going to half-ass and all you're going to get is more shoddy women in movies and all every…

Well, they come here, and hopefully the people here will be good enough to quell their misguided anger. Hopefully. A year ago /r/MensRights was those people.

I believe it's a little bit of everything. Yes, there are many feminists who will do anything to kill the movement. Yes, there are some ill-natured misogynists guising as masculinists. There's no clear cut answer.

Truthfully, it's because there are a lot of bad-meaning men who label themselves "MRA's", all of who only bash women and often well-meaning feminists as well. People like those were much more prevalent in this sub a year ago, but this sub's progress has been quite interesting.

So, because a man likes it you're forced to hate yourself? Also, I'm not entirely sure what the woman is saying, because her grammar took a nosedive in the last panel. "because that stuff and the men that love it, LOVE to make us women not love ourselves" Reading it again, it makes a bit more sense, but it's still RIDICULOUSLY hard to read.

No. I just think it's that in every day social situations, women are valued more in terms of company and worth.

I thought it was pretty clear. The first implies all men have some kind of power over everyone who's not a man. The second implies that men just happen to be people in power and the fact that they are men have little to nothing to do with why they are in power.

OP, from this point on I suggest your brother wear a GoPro or something. He needs to document fucking everything. He needs to make sure if this ever goes to court there is no evidence that can incriminate him, and if there is (by the magic of manipulation), that there is overwhelming evidence that he is innocent.

Very much so. The first commenter's ex wife is looking to destroy him, and very much trying to kill him. The best thing to do is to not let her do that, but instead live to show the kids what a great man he is.

Phillips also said it was “not unique” for the victim of a crime like rape or molestation to want to protect the abuser by withdrawing an accusation. “It’s part of a dynamic that we deal with. Whether it’s sex crimes or crimes of domestic violence, that is not unusual.” Is it cause the abuser isn't actually an abuser?

"Excuses..." It very clearly has explanations of answers to possible questions that arise when someone looks at the data. Don't refute clear explanations as "excuses," just because you have no better way to refute this evidence.

I was actually replying to his first part. Do you have any statistics on how many cases of rape are women --> man? He asked for some, I gave him some. real statistics to back up your claim Are we looking at the same infographic?

A bunch of self-hating white knights following a small group of Angela Dworkins (aka Archangelles, thus my name, which is an obvious satire of their stupid archangelle system) who bash anything they disagree with, which consists of mostly anything disagreeing with radical feminism and their ideals. They are misandrist and extremely racist towards white people (but according to them both of these are impossible because both men and white people are privileged and thus you can't be racist / sexist…

I'll have to favorite this article. This was pretty articulate; it'd be a shame if some of it turned out to be false. Are there any credible sources that refute any of these studies?

So you're saying the child couldn't remember consent of the chopping of the nerves of the end of his penis off? That sounds a lot like rape. If we used the definition of rape as a sexual act without consent, that means almost HALF of all men have been raped. But it's okay, because it's for the better of the child.

Some of these jokes are disgusting, but all in all, we make a lot of these jokes the other way around. I personally thought the joke about "what's the difference between red and purple -- your grip" was kinda funny.

sentences for the same crime THAAAANK YOU! You always see that statistic about "Oh, women earn 77 cents to every dollar a man makes" and then politicians skewed it so that it's "for the same job," which MAKES THE STATISTIC FUCKING FALSE. And everyone just accepts it, completely ignoring that men and women are doing different jobs (men are more prevalent in STEM degrees which pay higher), not to mention the amount of women who take time off their job to serve as mothers (ex: 6-8 hours a day), lea…
