You yourself pointed out the need to move water as its a problem in that area, and than in next sentence stated that its not a problem. On the other i dare to say that those stated temperatures are correct, and are the problem as they are quite nice for agriculture (if you have enough water) but not so great for humans. I m sorry but this post is misleading at best. Many of the points that are used there are not true, not mention that it simplifies such complex problem as downfall or roman empire into few reasons. Examples: It is true that power of pater familias sligthly declines over the centuries. For instance it is no longer ok for him to sell his kids to slavery.
