No offense but you don't seem to fully understand what Stoicism is. Thus you're drawing your conclusion from a flawed premise. There's a significant difference between the adjective stoic, as it's commonly used today, and the Stoic philosophy from ancient Rome and Greece. EDIT: For whoever is interested, A Guide to the Good Life by Irvine is a great intro to the subject of Stoicism and all around great book on how to live well.

I actually agree with you. When I used FB back in the day, I used to just make my birthday invisible so no one would get notified. Problem solved!

Yeah honestly, not much from OP's post applies to São Paulo or any other major brazilian city for that matter. Not sure which part of South America he's in...

Awesome post! Also, if you're serious about making gains, you gotta know your optimal caloric intake and macros! This is the best video guide I've seen on the macro split, I'm sure it will be of use to many of you!

That part is a bit confusing, but my understanding is that when he talks about vulnerability, he means putting yourself in a position where you're not afraid to take risks. You go after what you want, and in many cases that means you'll find yourself in a situation where you're susceptible (vulnerable) to rejection and failure, but that will not stop you in any way. If needed, you'll take the backlash on the chin and come back for more.

If women actually invested in themselves and their SMV, everyone would be better off. How so? Things would remain the same. As you said: Who will go for a mediocre woman? A mediocre man If this woman had higher SMV, than the mediocre man would no longer suffice. Also, what exactly do you mean when you say women should "invest in their SMV"?

I actually agree with you. It kinda depends on how she says it, but it's a slight disrespect IMO (although if it's a one time thing I don't think it needs to be addressed). I'd just ignore the comment and move on with the conversation.

Don't just read these books while you're taking a dump. STUDY this shit, summarize the core ideas so you can quickly and periodically review it. Figure out how you can put these core ideas into practice, how you can act on it. I usually compress new knowledge into "one-pagers", 2 of them actually. One for conceptual information, and another for actionable information. This is great way to internalize it. As far as career goes, I recommed 2 books. Mastery (by Robert Greene, a famous author here o…

Workout_Ham already laid out the plan for you. To sum up: Work out (gym + nutrition), learn TRP tenets (No More Mr Nice Guy, Rational Male, Models), take your studies and career choices seriously (this will have huge impact on your SMV later on). Honestly, it may seem like a big deal now, but high-school is kinda of irrelevant in the "bigger picture" of your life. Use it as practice for your social skills and have a good time.

I have been seeing a ton of threads and comments lately about how older guys fucking or dating college students/sorority girls is impossible. This is true, TRP is not completely immune to bitch ass dudes full of excuses. Maybe the mods could start issuing some of these.

For most of human history formal education was reserved for elites. Kings and emperors hired wise men to teach their children mathematics, philosophy, and Latin. In this century you can literally sit at home and watch/read an entire course about an infinity of subjects at virtually zero cost. We're increadibly fortunate to live in this day and age. While I agree that the public education system is abominable, do we really need to rely on the State for it? Self-education is accessible to most of …

Yeah man, some chicks are downright incompetent when it comes to blowjobs. I've had some luck showing them videos of a nicely performed blowjob and telling them to mimic it. I've done this 4 or 5 times, results weren't spetacular but their work consistently went from "holy shit for the love of god you're terrible" to passable. It's worth a shot I'd say.

In South America pretty much every one gets 2 surnames, first comes the mother's paternal surname and second the father's paternal surname. You basically get the last name of both your grandfathers (no hyphens though). But when you have a kid, you pass down only the surname from your dad's family. Example: Andrew Johnson Smith has a son with Jane Steele McKinley. The kid would be called Daniel McKinley Smith.

Yeah for sure, as men we have the opportunity to raise our SMV as we age, which is amazing. Of course this doesn't happen automatically, it should be obvious that we must put in the work. A 40-50 year old guy won't necessarily have higher SMV than when he was 20. If he let himself go (shitty job, out of shape, poor social skills, etc) his SMV will certainly go downhill. But as you pointed out, if you keep increasing your value, age will only give you that extra edge. An older guy can potentially…

Brother, if short chubby dudes are outperforming you, you should consider that the problem might not be the theory but the overestimation of your own SMV. The demographic you mentioned is incredibly easy to bed, especially in America. Source: Myself (I'm a couple years older than you).

I said that NAWALT in regards to being an interesting/enjoyable person, meaning that you can find women with shared interests and hobbies if you go to the right places...there are plenty of chicks into surfing, cooking, running, astronomy, snowboarding, sailing, music...you name it. OP said that women are all basic/boring which is really not the case, and honestly if you think that you're better off jerking off than going out there to spend time with all these horrible women. This. Sub-communication is key, as someone said above, as long as you come from a place of non neediness, you're golden. Guys who are truly in this mindset say whatever the hell they want and still manage to ignite attraction.
/r/TheRedPill30/12/14 07:57 PM

I disagree. In this case, NAWALT. If you have an interesting lifestyle (where you spend time in social circles with similar interests) you will undoubtedly meet higher quality women that will be way more fun to be around than the average chick you're describing, since you'll naturally have a lot of shared interests. Mark Manson talks about this in his book, check it out if you haven't yet.

This whole story is just beyond bizarre...and the craziest thing is that several of the articles on mainstream media outlets that were bashing Matt Taylor were actually written by DUDES. Yo, used to bartend in major west coast city back in the day. Game rules are still the same, but depending on your style you might want to tone it down a bit since you're at work. Be confident without being a dick, but feel free to tease them. Stay in uplifting/party mood. Shots on the house for chicks within the 5 - 7 range only. If your establishment allows, have a shot with them every now and then. This will maximize your tips. Hot chicks (8 - 10) already feel entitled to free drinks and won'…

Word brother. But that's more of a US thing though, I've met plenty of 20-25 year old guys in east and west coast US getting away with being extremely dumb, because college kid. I've spent some time in other western countries and haven't seen this happen nearly as much. Go figure, I blame videogames.

This post should be stickied/go in the sidebar. I looked for similar content there but didn't find any. The information here is extremely important, RP truths are so liberating that sometimes it's hard not to go around shouting it out (especially in the first months after you start internalizing it), and as you correctly pointed out, it's something that can be very detrimental.

Absolutely agree, credit where credit is due. If you're running solid game on the chick, there's no need to discredit her after a first date fuck. Heck, give the credit to yourself instead. Besides, every chick is capable of a first date fuck if you're the "right guy" and it "just happens".
