A lot of my number crunching is crude like that. I also didn't take rate of murder at different age ranges into account when I calculated the lifetime chances. Just used average life expectancy. Unfortunately, the data from here that describes the relationship to the victim doesn't separate the victims by gender. Only by circumstances.
