I would argue that they were fighting for equality in a political space. Different than equality in general, but ultimately equality. Sexism in stem is rare, obviously sexists exist everywhere but overall it's rare. What is true is women don't want to be in stem as much and all these "girls in stem" programs create an opportunity boys never had. There's no "boys who code" only girls who code. I've seen it happen with guys too. My comment was less related to the pussypass and more to the comment where the person said"temporary insanity". It's a get out of jail free card because you can't prove someone was or wasn't insane at a point in time when no one was around to determine it. It undermines the whole idea of evidence. At least with actual insanity the person is still insane and that's evidence.
