Guys like that tend to have a warped idea of what to expect. Like just because you're in Eastern Europe or something doesn't mean you're gonna find the perfect housewife or whatever Like, you might THINK you have similar cultural ideas to a certain region, but that doesn't mean you have a full understanding of what the culture is, or that you'll fit into it. Mind you I'm not speaking in general of couples from different backgrounds, or expats just plain dating and such in their new country. Guys…

I'm not sure I understand why there's supposed misandry here? In the story all she said was that hair should be where it grows. Unless you mean the comment comparing to tumors, which even if you find body hair to be pretty gross, it's definitely not anything like a tumor lmao

Not necessarily a feminist, imo. At least not directly. The FDS type shit like this is a weird combo of some feminist shit and some conservative ideology, it's hard to put a finger on. My guess is it's just a mismatch of whatever ideological beliefs entitle them to think they deserve to just be taken care of without them feeling like they've lost all their independance. It's selfish shit, mostly for women that fancy themselves hot enough for it or whatever. These women act entitled to pampering …

If this is real, a vet isn't gonna just put a healthy cat down. Either she neglected those poor things and they got sick enough a vet would, or she killed them herself. A relevant story to this sub is that of Erin Pizzey. She was a second wave feminist that established the first domestic violence shelter for women in the UK. Later on in her career, she took an interest in male victims of domestic violence, and became known as an activist for men's rights. A lot of the feminists that formerly loo…

I think the problem you're facing here is that you're conflating your average conservative on the street with powerful politicians. I don't at all doubt that there's conservative politicians that genuinely want to do some terrible shit. That want to control women and children, that want to enforce their moral will on others. That's utterly unsurprising, politicians are normally all scum to begin with, and of course they'd hide their actual goals behind ideas like saving children. There's a reaso…

I'm always confused as to why libertarians are lumped in with conservatives like this. I mean, no political group is a monolith, but libertarians especially can be all across the board.

IRT something like tubal litigation, it can be hard to get a doctor to sign off on it. Some will be easier to work with than others, but generally speaking there's a lot of concern over if the patient will regret having it done. Depending on the doctor and the reasons for it (medical vs disinterest in children) you could talk with them about it and get there or you could very well be facing off with a brick wall, lol.

I posted this in a separate comment already but I'm getting increasingly exasperated that everyone in this conversation sees birth control as only having the purpose of stopping pregnancy. Birth control is the first treatment offered to women and girls suffering from pain or hormonal issues related to their menstrual cycle. It is Healthcare. And it's perfectly reasonable for someone receiving treatment to have issues with the fact that it's causing other side effects, as it's reasonable for anyo…

I mean I know the whole point of religion is that you believe your God or belief system is the ultimate truth, but you must understand that's not a compelling argument for anyone that doesn't already agree with you.

So, are y'all entirely unaware that Birth Control is also used to prevent menstrual pain and treat some hormonal issues? Personally I don't agree with the whole "don't have sex if you don't want a kid" thing but there's no point in arguing that considering how issues of morality and such differ from person to person. But birth control is very much medicine. It's the first thing prescribed for women that have PCOS, Endometriosis, among other issues. I, personally, take a daily BC pill because I'v…

There's plenty more appropriate ways to prepare for that though. This kind of online debate doesn't represent any professional or well structured argument, and it's pretty bad to conflate them. If anything, I'd recommend hanging around on legal subreddits to lurk and read what people say, if you're looking for that sort of thing online. You could also watch footage of courtroom proceedings, read court transcripts, study cases of different types, etc. This is probably the most toxic way you can p…

Hey, my dude. This isn't healthy! If you're 13, it's just unnecessary stress to be arguing and commenting on these kinds of issue. I got super into social justice and arguing online when I was in my teens, and it wasn't healthy. I still have feminist friends and aquaintences irl and online. Have trashed anyone that still 100% believes amber. There's a lot of people that use feminist because they were told that was the correct term rather than egalitarianism, or maybe they use it because they agree with certain subsets or older feminist causes. You might have just been dealing with some particularly insecure people. Alternatively, it was read as a romantic advance and they felt compelled to push back. If you only do such with women you're interested in, it's pretty obvious that you're doing it as a "play" And don't take it personally when people are too much. You said it doesn't happen all the time, so don't let it bother you too much. Some people are just like that

I can't really tell if you're speaking in a broader sense or a relationship sense. In a relationship, respect should always be a two way street. You can't actually love someone without respecting them fully. And a lot of women nowadays have issues with this, setting expectations to be coddled and pampered while offering not even emotional support to their partners. But I would argue that's not men vs women and really just the state of things. Such women are just as awful and disrespectful when d…

It's disheartening to see this sort of thing on an anti-feminist subreddit. Men are capable of being abused, and tbe physicality of it is only a portion of it. Emotional abuse, financial control, kids, etc can all be leveraged without a woman ever laying a hand on a man.

As a woman, that sub is a trash heap. Don't take anything they say seriously, they're an awful fringe group. They also hate and censor women that don't fall in line with their narrative, something super common in radical feminist groups.

I think it's feasible for someone to still choose to calm themselves one, possibly in the idea that they can change things, or maybe because they're an older activist that just sees no need to relabel. That's not the choice I made, it got to be too much. But I don't think it's an immediate mark of someone, I'd have to see their politics.

I would say so, but the thing is that a lot of folks that could call themselves both MRA and Feminist have decided to dissociate themselves from feminism. I'm an example of that. I considered myself a feminist for a long long time, but a lot of the cause radicalized. Nowadays, liberal and radical sects of feminism are incredibly similar, with the main division being trans people. A hyper focus on implicating men as a whole as the cause of problems, a refusal to engage with class based criticism …

I mean that's a more reasonable stance than Mr TradCock up there just calling someone a whore. Like yeah all things should be considered, it's not the greatest idea if your kid is still in school but. Imo the reason this woman is a mega-bitch is because she shows no remorse about the situation she's put her kid in, and clearly didn't even put in an effort to avoid this in the first place or try to better it. For fucks sake, there's a right way to do this shit. Keep it disconnected from any of your personal accounts, use a "stage name", only promo it on platforms made for adults only content, avoided showing her face, wearing costumes or a wig in the content, etc. This was incredibly irresponsible, and the fact that 13 year olds were so easily able to access her porn specifically and connect it back to her is borderline criminal. Nah, unrelated to zionism. For the last couple years at least it's been pretty acceptable for left wing activists to say some blatantly anti-semitic shit, and it either gets ignored outright or brushed away with the idea that Jews are white oppressors. You're not understanding the brainwashing an abuse victim can go through, and that goes for men and women. You can be committed to this mentality that what someone did to you was perfectly reasonable. I've spoken to men that get coerced or forced into sex by women not come to terms with it being abuse for a long time because they so genuinely believe it can't happen to men. No, I don't. There are societies that exist today where exposed breasts aren't considered innately sexual. Can people find them attractive? Yeah. There aren't any biological differences that make it more obscene, dude. Yes women's breasts are designed to optimize milk production. That really doesn't have any bearing on them being "inappropriate." You cannot see into the breast and predict what kind of tissue is within. A woman can have a flat chest, a larger man can have a more prominent one. If a trans woman passes as a woman and goes around shirtless, she will be treated as an exposed woman even if she doesn't have breast implants. Biol…

Both men and women can fall victim to this. Actually it's more common in men because of this idea that men can't be assaulted or sexually abused. Anyway, trauma is complicated and as much as I hate the feminist movement, I don't think we should use this as a gotcha considering how documented it is that ways that people process trauma

I mean, you can argue that a lot of people (men and women) and pushed pretty hard by family and other expectations pretty young. It's definitely a phenomenon for young people to think they want kids because they've basically been told they want them for most of their lives, only to realize later on that it was a bad idea and they didn't want this. But it's not exclusive to women. You could bring up some less developed countries of course but usually that's not the target of this sort of thing.

This isn't a bad thing. Not exactly a huge priority or anything, but it's never really made sense to me why men can go topless and women can't. I mean if it was about the titties, then fat men wouldn't be allowed to go shirtless yeah?

Stuff like this confuses me just because these people seem so genuinely dejected to be born a woman. It's a bit disturbing in a way. While one can find frustration due to bad experiences and the like, that kind of hatred seems like it has to be cultivated to me. Agreed. I think it's important to focus on pointing out the contradictions, such as when their ideals call for limiting women's choices because of "internalized misogyny" and the like. While I don't want to take the spotlight away from any men affected, there's also some credence to highlighting the harm and abuse that's come to women and children as a result of feminist ideals. There's something to be said for focusing on sympathetic causes, as that can appeal to those currently within the move…

I grew up with abusive parents, and idk if my town is just fucked up or what but most of the people I know from my hometown also had abusive parents. Aside from cases of sexual abuse, I've noticed that mothers feel a lot more entitled to get hands on in their abuse. Maybe because they know they're less likely to leave a mark? I think it's best to avoid "please die" or just insults because that gives them ammo to pretend all criticism is illegitimate. Plus, even if you never interact with them, there's people that see when you give a fair argument. A lot of the traits condemned by feminists as being toxic masculinity end up being traits that women enforce. Stuff like hiding emotion, being hypersexual, only having "manly" hobbies. It's all stuff that as soon as men do shit like open up a bit they get accused of expecting "emotional labor" or if they don't wanna have sex when she does then it's "are you gay or something?" or "stop being a pussy." I mean I agree with that context but like... If a raped woman gets an abortion, then the man's responsibility in that regard ends. No child, no child support, etc. I don't think it's fair to wish anyone, man or woman, have to contact their abuser in regards to personal life choices. And that extends to men, men shouldn't be liable for child support when they've been forced or raped or anything of that nature. If women agree with feminists then they have agency and they're making well thought out choices. If they disagree then they're victims of the patriarchy and have internalized misogyny. Consent is the most important part of sex, a not very controversial thing for feminists to say. But if you're a woman that likes kinky sex with men, then you're a victim and brainwashed.

I think it's definitely overused, but it certainly doesn't apply to only situations associated with war. Probably the most common type of PTSD related to domestic situations is Complex PTSD, which is attributed to sustained, long term abuse. I'm so sorry you're surrounded by so many awful women. I'm a woman that's been lurking this sub recently because I'm just so fucking exhausted feeling like I'm the only one with the sense to realize men don't have it easy or aren't fucking tools to improve their lives and finances. I'd like to believe FDS isn't the way most women think, but considering the sheer number of times I've had chicks try to bull me into this mindset? I really don't have any evidence to the contrary.
