My family has been trying to care for my grandmother ever since my grandfather died a couple years back. She became very depressed after he died and her health has been declining pretty steadily since then. Losing my grandfather was very hard, and seeing this unfold with her just a couple years later just adds to that. I just can’t with this shit tonight.

It’s well-documented that teachers tend to grade boys more harshly for the same quality of work. That probably is not the entire source of the problem, but the knockoff effects of those worse grades, even if the initial difference is slight, would certainly contribute to the gap.

The way that short men are perceived and treated in general is extremely bigoted in a very underhanded way, but it’s not really a one-sided politicized thing, it’s present throughout the political aisle. Although it’s certainly hypocritical for people presenting themselves as championing the causes of the underprivileged to indulge in. The way that some people get invested in and speak fawningly of their taller male relative’s heights can also get strange at times.

I'm an egalitarian, so I'm equally supportive of male and female rights and want egalitarianism to be the default gender rights movement so that the rights of men and women are advanced on an equal basis. Having the default gender rights movement instead be feminism specifically is a conflict of interest which neglects the issues facing men. I’m an egalitarian first and foremost, so I want to work together with people calling themselves either MRAs and feminists who are genuinely interested in egalitarian pushes to fix issues facing men and women. I have little interest in engaging with misandrists and misogynists who aren’t interested in trying to solve problems facing everyone, which unfortunately does include a sizable chunk of the people labeling themselves feminists in terms of the former.

Yeah, currently the Democrat's efforts to chase after men seem more like a last-minute desperate scramble for anybody they can get rather than a genuine attempt to reach out. If Harris does win, I can only hope those efforts lead to some actual reevaluation of what's going on and serious policy proposals to help with male issues, although I pessimistically expect the whole thing would be completely forgotten about until 2028 when the next last-minute desperate scramble starts.

I oppose this sort of thing for the same reason that I oppose the death penalty. It's hard to muster up any sort of sympathy for people like this, but we need to maintain a minimum standard of decency and also keep in mind that some found guilty can actually be innocent.

As a straight Gen-Z'er with a fairly minimal interest in sex and relationships as it is, I've never really planned on getting married under most circumstances anyway. Around the time that I finished middle school and started high school, I'd learned that it was beneficial for me to 'keep my head down' as it were. Weirdly, there are some good points in there, such as abuse in childhood potentially resulting in criminal behavior years later.
