But you can't get ahead of 0-days :P
/r/MensRights17/03/17 03:24 AM

As melodramatic as your post is, it's actually not paranoid enough. Behind by half a day? That doesn't protect against 0-days.

I believe there was one successful suicide and one suicide attempt as well during the trial.

What you're doing is like, classic concern-trolling, dude. Let people come up with their own conclusions if new facts emerge. We're not a jury.

Honestly, I'm not ashamed to admit that I developed something of a crush on a 65-year old philosophy professor. She's just so reasonable.

If the inconsistency ultimately weakens the enforcement of the law due to set precedent, sure. But if it never goes to court to set that precedent, it won't change.

Considering that you can get fined for using racial epithets in the UK, I'd much rather side on free speech... but it needs to be consistently applied. This is only highlighting the double-standard and considering it was only passed into law by people like her, she should have been hoisted onto her own petard.

Holy shit dude, did someone piss in your corn flakes? That kind of topic does get discussed in here. It's just that when girls are subject to equal treatment, people often go "omg that's so harsh" and then it highlights how much it sucks for boys going through the exact same process, which begins a dialogue on reform. Sure this place turns into a circle jerk often, but it's not heavy handed on the censorship and I think it redeems itself often enough.

Naming gets in the way of rehabilitation and exoneration. Which is why it's so devastating when accused men get their faces and names plastered all over the media. And yeah, I would definitely want my son to be able to look up a woman on a registry to see if she's ever made false rape accusations. There's definitely a public benefit to that. But for a minor who's already serving jail time, I think she's learned a serious life lesson from this already. I just hope this type of justice happened mo…

She's a minor as well, which complicates the whole issue of identifying her. If rehabilitation is possible, that would be preferable. Too bad boys in the US don't get this standard of consideration. Edit: I'm essentially agreeing with the guy who has -20 karma, cut him some slack here.

Well, as far as men's cooking goes, men dominate the upper echelons of fine dining and Michelin-starred celebrity chefs. From England alone: Gordon, Heston, Marco, Jaime, where do I start? But everything else you said, especially teaching as a man, I can sympathise with.

¯\(°_o)/¯ I ain't even mad bro. That's Reddit for you. What it comes down to for me is if anyone, male or female, can meet the required standards for the job, it's all good in my book. If it means the vast majority of women will never qualify for the job, so be it. If it means that there will be women inevitably qualified for the job, so be it. Imagine how terrifying it must be for men to be on the same team as these girls. They know without a doubt if they become injured that the girls most lik…

This is true. I think we can agree though, that lowering fitness requirements doesn't solve anything.
/r/MensRights01/10/15 07:06 PM

Semantically, simple means "it's not complicated, this is the only important or relevant reason." Which is pretty close to "purely" in my book. Furthermore, he said "They know without a doubt", which does imply "purely". Honestly I'm trying to put forth an argument against double standards for physical fitness but I suppose I didn't communicate it well enough. Good point on the wear and tear, though.
/r/MensRights01/10/15 07:04 PM

That doesn't mean they could never reach those standards, just that it's harder for them to. That's why I said "given enough training". Biology alone won't stop a woman with sufficiently trained strength from doing her job.
/r/MensRights01/10/15 12:10 PM
-41

It's not purely biology, it's mostly ability. Women are conditioned in our society to never train upper body strength because it's "unfeminine". Given enough training, they could achieve sufficient strength for these job requirements. Which is even more of a reason never to compromise on the fitness standards. I think in this case it's not really a matter of being PC, but just being genuine about issues. If a gay man is being abused in a relationship and cannot find an appropriate support hotline because those hotlines assume that all men are abusers, that falls under men's issues. If a gay man cannot find employment as a teacher because of hysteria over pedophilia, that falls under men's issues. Could you expand on making sure agency is placed on the women? Surely women would should not have to change their behavior in a lot of cases, if not most, as they have a reasonable right to live in a rape-free society just as all humans enjoy the reasonable right to live in a murder-free society. A current book, unfortunately not; it's been a LONG time since I graduated. At one point I had planned to go to UCI to further study Criminology. As far as I know, the chair of that department was Dr. Joan Petersilia, who's written a number of publications. (Holy shit, she retired in 2009 from there; I wasn't even aware of that). Hey, when I said my reading comprehension sucks today, I meant it for a full 24 hours. I'll amend my statement then: I don't think the vast majority of feminists are irrational psychos. I think the vast majority of them buy into the egalitarian ideal of equal rights, which feminism has done a good job of appropriating selling. What they don't all realize is the Marxist class-warfare underpinning of (radical) feminist ideology that requires men (then white men, then white heterosexual men, then w…

"Educate yourself" will always mean indoctrinate yourself, in the context of a debate. It's also, as you correctly pointed out, a sign that they lack the understanding to explain it. At least my feminist friends will cite sources instead of handwave it off. Keeps the discussion more honest.

Egalitarianism does not imply solving a problem while maintaining a status quo. Actually, in this context, it does. Marx thinks the idea of equality is actually a vehicle for bourgeois class oppression, and something quite different from the communist goal of the abolition of classes...A society that has transcended class antagonisms, therefore, would not be one in which some truly universal interest at last reigns, to which individual interests must be sacrificed. It would instead be a society …
/r/MensRights24/02/15 06:22 AM
1

Marxism is at war with the status quo. It incites revolutionary action. That's why it creates class delineations. It makes men the political enemy of feminism because they are beneficiaries of The PatriarchyTM . Egalitarianism is about reform, not revolution. I didn't say the two were totally irreconcilable, I'm pointing out where those irreconcilable differences lie. There is much ideological overlap otherwise.
/r/MensRights23/02/15 11:18 PM

Not a Marxist. Just explaining where egalitarians and equality-minded feminists may find ideological irreconcilable differences.
/r/MensRights23/02/15 10:33 PM

There's a fundamental difference between Marxist Feminism with class struggle against the patriarchy, and egalitarianism that seeksedited to reform the status quo. At the most hardcore level, the two become irreconcilable. That being said, I have no problem with feminists that acknowledge the fact that masculinity is still essential to a culture and that female agency carries the responsibility of their actions.

Hasn't stopped prosecutors before. There's a case of a female underage porn actress who stole an adult woman's license, used it to get a legitimate set of identification with her own photo, used it as documentation to a studio as proof that she was of legal age, and then her mother found out and sued the audio for exploitation.

It's more like concern trolling that distracts from the original point at hand. Again, you underestimate (or outright ignore) the situation of women in their mid to late thirties who have not yet had kids. Usually they've been so caught up in their education and professional lives that they haven't wanted to settle down and are trying to "have it all". They're the ones for whom the clock is truly ticking and are the ones who need to do the numbers.
/r/MensRights02/02/15 04:39 AM

I'm just trying to sort out what the fuck point you're actually trying to make here. The amount of women out there feeling their biological clock ticking and ready to get pregnant is quite considerable. Being in your fifties and single means you will probably have a considerable amount of assets, and women in their late thirties quite honestly can't be as picky as in their twenties. A man's option to enter fatherhood is not very impaired being in his fifties; I know quite a few men who have done…

You just changed privilege to power here, which is why everyone is pissed at you. I get what you're saying but it's sort of an important semantic distinction. Furthermore, your example ignores racist and sexist epithets and thoughts made in discussions where power or privilege doesn't necessarily apply. A woman saying "lol male tears" is going to be sexist no matter how you slice it. Also /u/thinkingofdemons is correct about that institutional definition applying only to oppression.
/r/MensRights26/01/15 12:20 AM

Men don't report domestic violence because of the fucking Duluth model. Then people point to the disparity of DV reports as proof that most of it is committed by men. Police then assume it's always the man's fault, thus reinforcing the fallacy of the Duluth model. Vicious cycle.

Robinson's conviction in May 2013 for assaulting her roommate would trigger a violation of his parole for a prior sex offense This means that the sex offense, whatever it was, was not the same assault as the one performed on the roommate. Since sex offense is a very broad category, it's impossible to tell what it was without looking at Robinson's criminal record. It could have been rape, or it could have been any other number of things. You're jumping to conclusions.

There are plenty of left-leaning egalitarians that are MRAs. Furthermore, people like Erin Pizzey and Warren Farrell are not exactly what you'd call traditional conservatives, either. But I've stated my piece, comparing Malala to Emma Watson is pointless, even counter-productive, and garners no sympathy points for men's rights from the world at large.
/r/MensRights13/10/14 05:23 PM

I don't think this is a fair comparison. Malala's widely criticized in Pakistan for her activism, which needs it very badly. She'd be killed if she moved back there. Also, Breitbart is a poor example of a journalistic publication given their very obvious conservative slant and it's pretty obvious that the article is clickbait.

The mainstream, popular view of feminism is what it's supposed to be: An egalitarian movement for women to address the inequalities they face in society. I have no problem with this whatsoever; it's the flipside of what this subreddit should be. I have a BA in Sociology, I know how nutty radical ideology of any kind can become, especially when they just start making shit up. Why do you call circumcision "genital mutilation?" If it is done correctly, it doesn't "mutilate" a person any more than clipping toenails does. Umm, fuck you, no. The removal of the foreskin also decreases sensitivity of the glans and upper shaft due to the keratinization of the skin, and if too much skin is removed, severe sexual dysfunction may result along with an inability to masturbate. It absolutely is mutilation; not completely analogous to female circumcision but still invasive in its o…

I understand where you're coming from as someone with an actual background in sociology, but this definition is, in my opinion, pretty fucking terrible due to semantic distance. By and large, the standard and accepted definition of sexism and racism is discrimination by those criteria. The shift in systemic oppression you're talking about is actually one from "patriarchy" to "kyriarchy". And honestly, as the perpetrator of oppression shifts to a more nebulous state of being that encompasses everything, from gender to race to wealth to (cis/trans)sexuality to religion, feminism as a movement and linguistic term becomes more and more irrelevant as it loses focus in favor of the more general egalitarianism. Absolutely there are. The question is, why? It's easier to make socioeconomic arguments for why minorities are under-represented, like blacks, in tech. But white women? They make just as much money as white men. There should be a ton of them. It's not a physically demanding profession. Is it temporally demanding? It can be, if you're not good at work-life balance. I'll say this much: I honestly don't know if there's a comparable analogue to slut shaming based on usage. Men don't virgin-shame each other. We don't creep-shame each other either (unless we're white knighting). Women DO slut-shame each other.

You can go fuck yourself harder. I wouldn't be so harsh. Many young men start out as feminists because of the ideal of egalitarianism it purports to follow. You do also realize that condoms break, yes? And actually, they're quite likely to break if the condom's too small, which as I mentioned with the FDA thing, is also a problem. I'm not legally allowed to import condoms that are big enough for me. Which would come from the UK, ironically. They don't have that problem over there.

Holes in condoms, difficulty in disposal (flushing them is bad for plumbing), general lack of comfort, FDA restrictions on nominal width (big dick problem), etc etc. I hate condoms and I'm glad i have a girlfriend who's good about taking her pill (in fact if she doesn't, she gets terrible cramps) but it'd be nice to have extra protection against a surprise pregnancy until we're ready.

I feel kind of silly having to point out that it's detrimental to men though. Even if this was just a women's issue there's no rule that says we have to bash everything that is a women's issue. Afaik most MRA's are all for women's rights (just not feminism) and fighting sexism against women too. Umm... Custody is a big 'if'. In a perfectly fair world you'd see a lot more men with partial custody of their kids, and while this system is fair on paper from the way you describe it, it also requires fairness in how custody is determined... which is not an experience shared by many men here. EDIT: Still though, based on your other comments, you raise some interesting points.

As much as I sympathize, you'll have to prove him wrong using an example from Arizona. If the Arizona model is actually ideal compared to how much men get shafted in other states, it's worth looking into. Uhhh, Marxist Feminism is definitely a thing. You define stratifications between an oppressed class and oppressing class and advocate for struggle, conveniently forgetting that the world doesn't operate in black-and-white. If you really need me to spell it out for you... racism is not explicitly a crime in the USA. It can escalate an existing crime to a hate crime, or be a violation of the Civil Rights Act in the context of employment, housing, business patronization or whathaveyou, but calling someone a nigger kike, wop, chink, gook, wetback, etc. will not subject you to a fine or misdemeanor charge. I can see where you're coming from. This is what I think is going on: The hypocrisy of current/modern/Third Wave/+ feminism (where it intersects with anti-racism) is where it tries to assert that sexism and racism can only be valid if it is performed by an oppressive class. This means (in America at least) women can never be sexist, blacks can never be racist, etc. Obviously, this is bullshit, but they use this pseudo-intellectual argument to justify their view that misandry does not exist, that…

Which brings us to a different debate: Why does feminism semantically claim an 'equality' ideology when egalitarianism does the same thing? If you're trying to raise the privilege of women, then by definition you're a feminist and whether this comes at a zero-sum cost to men or not is secondary. If you're trying to equalize the privilege of everyone, then you are literally, by definition, an egalitarian. Keep in mind that feminist ideology does NOT hold free speech to be an ideal at all, because free speech is the tool of the oppressor. However, if you are of the oppressed class, not only do you get to say whatever you want (including derogatory remarks about privileged classes, because they are institutionally immune to oppression), you should also be empowered to silence the speech of the privileged oppressors. Brothers (and sympathetic sisters), You know, I've been in this subreddit for a while, and I have to admit, this particular thread has turned uncharacteristically circle-jerky... and that's saying a lot. We should be talking more about the principle and constitutional right of free speech, its actual domain and applicability, and how feminism attempts to short-circuit the principle of free speech to justify their censorship, but instead I see snarky jokes about white-knights and homemakers getti…

I've heard of it, but I think it's a load of bullshit. I interpret that as a post-modernist attempt to subvert the objective legitimacy of hard sciences in favor of levelling the playing field against soft sciences. Considering just how reliant sociology is upon the field of statistics alone, that attitude seems self-defeating. Since many sociologists still rely upon these 'hard sciences', I don't think most of them would perceive them as relativist/meta social constructs.

Umm... Feminist Sociologists don't believe in objective science. They are adamant about this. They believe that objective methodology is a patriarchal one. We can probably agree that this might be a little bit on the far side of loopy for a field that studies the science of society.

Commonly accepted within their bubble, perhaps. Just pose the question to a random passerby, "Do you think feminism stands for equal rights or only women's rights?" Also ask the feminist what they think about male-to-female transsexuals and LGBT rights. Feminism isn't equipped to handle it.

I also think that as long as people have this notion that privacy is not a virtue to be respected, that our paparazzi culture will continue to commodify and exploit privacy, whether it be another Adrien Chen or even another Violentacrez. The vigilantism that exposed VA does absolutely nothing to prevent another one from taking his place, and now they'll be much much more mindful of protecting their identity.

Lifetime alimony too. To the derps who downvoted me: Typically in a marriage, alimony is something like half of the time spent in marriage, until you hit the 10-year married mark, in which it becomes lifetime. Your sentiment echoes the arguments of 'scientists' who once believed that Blacks were, by virtue of their biology, less intelligent and incapable of being civilized in comparison to Whites. Also, your argument that the physiological differences between men and women also extend to intellectual pursuits opens the door to Affirmative Action-style quotas for women, which is complete horseshit. Poker? There's a few very competitive women in that scene. Same with Chess. Judit Polgar is able to hang with male grandmasters. It's not that they aren't capable of hitting the top, there's something quite different going on... namely, that there are self-created divisions within these sports, separated by gender. I've never been a fan of separate men's and women's divisions in competitions such as these. In any case, implying that men are better at games by virtue of their gender is a bit of a…

You also have that sort of in-between where Iraqi police recruitment stations were being hit; you could call them civilian targets, but in reality since they're an armed extension of the government and since the civilian population that they're watching also includes militant combatants, it's more of a gray in-between. Well, don't forget about state-sponsored terrorism. But I should have also mentioned that it's assymetrical. My definition is probably the vaguest official one ever used but it was almost verbatim at one point, but it's also so vague that it overlaps Clausewitz's definition of war, so you do have a point. I know what you mean. To me, having a mature, rational debate with even a close-minded ideologue is a victory in of itself. They're the only person capable of examining their beliefs, so just becoming a person having a conversation with them instead of being "The Enemy" is a huge step.

Engaging feminists in a non-confrontational manner and giving a personable face to the MRA is not necessarily a bad thing. I've had a feminist absolutely refuse to believe I was an MRA because I'm not what she expected. The more mindfucks like that with cognitive dissonance, the better.
/r/MensRights23/05/12 02:33 AM

I don't consider myself superior to you as a person. Someone asked me earlier in this thread whether MRA stood for Men's Rights Advocate or Activist. I said I was an advocate. You, sir, are an activist. We'll just leave it at that.

Blanket statements that include the uninvolved (into an ideology that not all of them subscribe to) are a discredit to your argument because it creates a gaping hole of logic that you could drive a truck through. You're also resorting to personal attacks and putting words in my mouth such as 'never criticise a woman', which means you're seeing things entirely from your lens and are unable to put yourself into the other's shoes. I have no qualms about criticising a woman or a man. AT ALL. I have …

The problem with the qualifier "Power" is that it's even MORE vague and subjective, is interpreted one-dimensionally when it comes to sex/race/sexual-orientation, and often overlooks contextual situations and environments such as "safe-spaces" where the privilege is flipped because the 'less-powerful group' is actually in control.
/r/MensRights16/05/12 03:14 PM

The 'pikey' incident is relevant due to its connection with oppression based upon political correctness. (Edit: Wait, did you also just call the male 3rd grade teacher example stupid by inclusion? Really? I'd like to hear you explain that one.) Fair enough on the 'women like this' point, I should have been consistent and used the word 'feminists'. Here's the difference between you and I: If you're going to argue about logic, it shouldn't fucking matter if you're a man or a woman. No, sexism is discrimination based upon sexual criteria. Sexual Oppression is an expression of power structure. You can also have a situation where men are more 'oppressed' than women are, particularly in a field such as child education where women enjoy the privilege (yes, privilege applies here) of the benefit of the doubt when it comes to sexual exploitation o…

Both examples were hypothetical and ignored implementation costs and legal barriers for the sake of illustrating economic demand. Restaurants would have a far easier time than airliners, to be sure. As for the short term, that's a pretty big 'short term'. Generations long, even. But whether it's the government's role or society's role to is a philosophical question. Well, I think we just found this club's target demographic. It's not that it isn't polite, it's that you're paying for pretty women like a commodity. You're part of the reason why crazy pricing like OP's post exists.

To some people, discrimination is a value. Those are the customers you'd get that would visit over and over again. Suppose you had an airline that banned children under 12. AWESOME, no screaming toddlers. Or perhaps you're opening an apartment complex in Salt Lake City and there's a policy saying "NO GAYS ALLOWED". AWESOME, my kids won't be exposed to homosexuals. Economic incentives for discrimination do exist. This is an issue that the free market is ill-equipped to handle.

Sharon Osbourne on The View joking about castration. Not a single word of dissent; in the contrary, laughter. The exposure of the double standard in feminism accusing men of the perpetuation of rape culture yet participating quite freely in castration culture. That sort of thing. I feel that while one can say "men can be raped too" in regards to rape culture, castration is a much, much bigger fear for the average man, and one celebrated by feminists because it removes the ability to rape. I wouldn't say Men are worse off overall. That's just as ideological in my opinion, no disrespect intended. In our culture for example, we have far less to worry about as far as aging and socio-sexual desirability than women do. In this regard, men do have it easier as they age, and I fully recognize that.

Men still have to worry about their condoms being fished out of the trash bin. It has to be flushed or otherwise destroyed. Contraceptives themselves, and the legalization of them, do owe a lot to feminist pressure in some countries. Japan took a looooooooong time for them to allow the pill (we're talking like 1990) because of the way their society operated. Catholicism is another factor in other places. I am willing to give credit where credit is due.

So, because the political climate isn't the same as it was 50 years ago, we don't need the Civil Rights Act? Just because we elected a Black president, racism no longer exists? Because businesses no longer pollute the environment to the extent that they used to, we don't need the Environmental Protection Agency? I rest my case, and this thread here.

They're a gold mine... unless they're also excluded from employment for the same economic reasons I listed above. Then they are quickly marginalized and considered "human trash". It is a chicken-and-egg scenario and one that is a very real danger to minorities because it can become a self-fulfilling perception. This sociological perception now becomes economically sound. Tell the French that their Muslim/Algerian population is a gold mine with their disproportionate rate of unemployment and they…

Unfortunately, all it would take to financially support the discriminatory landlord would be like-minded tenants. Take an anti-gay landlord for example. You'd just have a ton of Christian/Mormon families moving in who are "afraid of them gays". For them, that's not an economic liability... that's a goddamn selling point.
/r/MensRights28/05/11 11:04 PM

Then they'd probably go for Asians next. God knows there's enough of them. (DISCLAIMER: I am Asian.) That is, if it was even possible to account for all the white tenants... who by their very nature are not in a static state and are constantly migrating and looking for new housing. Look, I could do this all day. You are engaging in argumentum ad infinitum which is intellectually dishonest and you are ignoring the possibility that it can be (and has been) profitable to engage in exclusionary busi…

If a landlord's perception is that black tenants carry more economic liability than white tenants, then as long as there is a plentiful supply of economically qualified white tenants, it's not going to matter to them. (Economically.)
/r/MensRights28/05/11 10:37 PM

This is assuming the landlord is purely an economic machination and relies 100% on logic. They're human, just like you and I. And just like any human, landlords can mix up association with causation and make a general determination that "Black people will drive down my property value" and thus ethnically discriminate against them for economic purposes. There is also statistically significant proof that minorities have been discriminated against in terms of getting home loans, despite meeting the…

There are a couple questions raised by Libertarianism that I find extremely thought-provoking, and for that I do appreciate it. It questions certain concepts that we normally take for granted (such as property ownership, the rule of law, the role of government, the necessity of the State, the monopoly on violence and the role of the individual vs. the group) which, if properly debated, helps us to benefit from and understand democracy. I think it can degenerate into a juvenile "It's mine mine mi…

No individual can truly "own" property. The problem with the full-ownership mindset is that you are basically granted the right to conduct business and own property under the jurisdiction of the sovereign territory that you are in. Unless you outright own the country, you will be subject to those laws. "Real estate" is derived from the Spanish "Royal" (Real) which means that owning Real Estate is really more like a privilege granted by the Crown, which is how the concept of paying property tax c…

Pavlovian? That implies nobody's given any thought to downvoting him. Meta-discussion of downvotes is discouraged because it could very easily divert the main discussion into whining about why someone was downvoted. It's distracting and fruitless. I do agree that this system can breed a totalitarian rule by the majority, but the effects of censorship usually are limited to an inconvenience (comment below threshold, click here to view). It's not the majority, it's the mods whose censorship is the…

If this was /r/Libertarian, then your philosophy would be perfectly be aligned with theirs regarding property rights and you wouldn't be downvoted at all. However, under the current laws that we have, you cannot discriminate based on class, gender, status or any other blanket criteria (disability, sexual identity) that is protected by civil rights laws. You CAN reject someone as a tenant based upon an interview on an INDIVIDUAL basis. Just not a group basis.

As much as I want to say "I told you so" to this mother, I can't. As angry as I am for her not realizing what she's done to her son, I can't. Women like her are perhaps the most powerful advocates for Men's Rights against radical feminism. On the other hand, if a woman actually DID get inspired by the blog to murder a man, it should have been taken down in the first place. What you should do is to post a link to a screencap of the blog in question. That way you avoid the problem of it being erased.

Feminism is actually anti-scientific and anti-objective in the traditional sense that we know them. Basically, if you cannot THINK like a woman, your "science" isn't good enough. "Studies of how biases toward working with “masculine” cognitive styles—for example, toward centralized, hierarchical control models of causation as opposed to “feminine” (contextual, interactive, diffused) models—have impaired scientific understanding." http://plato.stanford.edu/entries/feminism-epistemology/

Maybe I'm jaded, but I pretty much assume the police will detain someone when they're accused of something instead of presuming that they are innocent until proven guilty. Outside of this perspective, I could see how you could be pissed about this but they did verify the evidence properly and they did catch the culprit.

The criminal justice system is supposed to have both punitive and rehabilitative elements. The rehabilitation is perhaps more important than the punishment because simply punishing someone causes them to become labeled as a criminal, and that label will effectively ostracize them from mainstream society and force them to socialize within a criminal subculture. Without a rehabilitative process for reintegration into mainstream society, the criminal subculture grows. Networks form. The degree of d…

Your point about the psychological consequences is true. By the way, your previous commentary's heavy usage of "you should" was kind of patronizing as you were trying to dictate how someone should feel, instead of presenting a case and letting them decide their position based upon the evidence. Unless you're a judge, in which case I mean no offense, your Honor. >_>

Well, it begs a lot of questions: What defines rehabilitation? What risk threshold of recidivism (return to criminality) is permissible? Should there be periodic monitoring for rehabilitated sex offenders as a condition of staying off the list? To be honest, I actually don't know the legal details and language of how a sex offender registry works (or the procedure to get off of it), nor do I know how they may differ in execution and concept between different states, so some of these options may …

False rape accusation is sort of a crime after the act of sex, instead of most sexual offences that are crimes before or during the act of sex. So it's kind of weird. Also, rape causes internal, psychological repercussions as much as false rape accusations cause external, social repercussions. Both are devastating, but in totally different ways. However, women have every right to be afraid of having sex with a man who has raped in the past and has not received rehabilitative therapy. Likewise, m…

I don't have much sympathy for this boy. Should he have the stigma of a sex offender for the rest of his life? Umm, I think what's too bad is that not enough women were taught what your wife was taught about basic reactive behavior. I understand your sentiment, but you wrote it in such a weird fashion that it made it sound like you were advocating for your wife to actually hit you. "It's too bad that women like my wife get taught [the lesson]" is like saying, "It's too bad that my daughter was taught to look both ways before crossing the street." Seriously, that's a WTF.
