[Some] women: Most men are simply unattractive or not sufficiently attractive. It's just the way it is. The same women: What do you expect women over 35 to do when they lose their SMV?

It's not something I proactively want but I'm open to it

Gotta protect yourself. Putting yourself first is necessary otherwise but it's not like you don't trust your friends and family to help you when you need it. You can love and trust people, you just never know. That's life.

That's not really making excuses, that's just finding/providing explanations that are frankly pretty condescending so the sentiment isn't one of trying to be forgiving or understanding. There are men here who defend women who make bad choices, but those are fewer and also they aren't anywhere near the pool of men she'd be complaining about.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/24 10:15 PM
1

And none of these quotes are from men who would ever complain about the "women are wonderful" effect so.... You're all over the place. In another comment you complain about men here being overly judgmental with women's dating choices According to this subreddit these guys are clearly awful people and these women still want them. That makes her an awful person too. And now you're saying men will make excuses for these women. Which is it?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/24 10:12 PM
2

Are you trolling? Find me one man here who makes excuses for women who date shitty men. If anything it will be the white knights, and these aren't the same men who complain about the "women are wonderful" effect. This is PPD 101 and plain as day.

They're obsessed with how society keeps telling them to be the "nice guy" when they observe "bad boys" having a much easier time getting relationships Whether or not these men go on to try to emulate bad boys or choose to stay true to who they are is a different matter and irrelevant b/c the reason for their obsession is when they first struggled as a "nice guy", not the desire to sleep around and be toxic.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/24 09:45 PM
2

.....who tf does that here? It's the exact opposite and there's constantly women complaining that men keep telling women to pick better. With the amount of time you've been here you'd think all this would be obvious to you.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/24 09:42 PM

They envy bad boys b/c they believe bad boys have a much easier time getting relationships and have struggled with getting a relationship while trying to be a good person Just typically disingenuous as usual.

Really depends on the area. In wealthier or more well-to-do areas and among young people eg college students esp in some states, most people in these demos are normal to skinny weight.

Right, I agree for the most part A lot of guys here say game or social skills don't work b/c I'm guessing they actually don't have an idea what good social skills is

Metabolism doesn't slow that much especially before 40. If you were able to eat like crazy and stay thin at 20, you won't suddenly be gaining weight at 30 on 1500 calories unless there's something else going on - eg lifestyle, we forget how active we really were in our teens - or there is a legit hormonal disorder. We're talking a metabolic difference of maybe a cookie per day if even that between say someone who's 20 vs 30. Also, there's this recent news: Metabolism in adulthood does not slow a…

At least they are acknowledging that how you talk to women is a major factor instead of saying things like it's entirely looks. It's an unfortunate fact that the men who are having a hard enough time that they need to seek out programs or workshops to learn game online are probably the least likely to ever be able to implement it effectively or in other words improve upon their conversational skills and social intelligence. Also, getting better at talking to people or women can only be done by c…

Most normies aren't on diets but most normies are also either fat or skinny fat/out of shape so I duno maybe not the best supporting argument for your brutal pill. Also if you're talking young men there are plenty of naturally skinny awkward dudes as well who aren't chads. It's mostly a lifestyle thing, people get settled into their 20s with sedentary routines, desk jobs, and bad habits. Metabolism slowing down is not significant enough and does not account for the statistical weight gain many p…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/24 05:18 PM

So girls are just that much smarter than boys, is that it. Nothing to do with differences in socialization. Why is it hard to believe that men, especially boys or young impressionable teenagers and men, are prone to being misled when there are countless people telling them every time it's not their looks every time they ask (or complain about) if it's their looks when they struggle? I don't think there is any other context where the entire society is forgiven for misleading or lying to people ju…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/24 12:23 PM

They can try. Improving social skills is hard and the ones struggling the most with it as young adults in the first place are the ones least likely to succeed, esp those with developmental disorders or are on the spectrum.

Reminds me of the hordes of people in r/politics complaining about how the media was biased against Biden after that disastrous first presidential debate for constantly bringing it up and it was hurting the future of the country with their carelessness. I am not staunchly right-wing by any means but I know better than to bother commenting there. "Why does the media keep portraying Biden in such a bad light?" Presumably typed with a straight face sans irony.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/24 10:31 AM

She became a proclaimed superhero overnight when Biden dropped out even though everyone had forgotten she even existed during the majority of the term. Honestly most of America probably forgot Biden existed b/c the media has talked about nothing but Trump for the past 8 years. Not like my vote matters, I don't live in Pennsylvania.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/24 10:21 AM

Men do it to other men too though. It's society-wide so it can't just come down to virtue signaling from women wanting to sound good. Parents, friends, teachers, community leaders raising boys tell them from a young age to just be responsible caring men and the women will come. When these men complain that they are struggling maybe b/c of their looks or height these same people along with everyone else tell them they've got it wrong. E.g. "Maybe try a new hobby? Maybe you aren't listening to her…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/24 10:12 AM

I feel like it's evened out by how many less than mediocre looking women are still attractive enough to many men. A woman who is so ugly she can't find anyone to commit is rare; in those cases where she's too fat, well, at least it's controllable and she can do something about it even if it isn't easy.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/24 10:07 AM

Because everyone knows looks matter for women. But men are either told it's not important or not as important and that women aren't shallow (eg we don't care about dick size or muscles, it's about the personality), they're fed this by everyone from a young age, and it shows with the continuous gaslighting. I don't know how people can deny it. You also have women in a different camp - or alternating when convenient - joining in by telling men they are stupid if they didn't know looks matter all a…

Just a few of her videos after googling. Honestly a lot of her stuff just sounds like building up confidence self-care advice. I guess that's part of the whole "decentering men" thing but I didn't see any hateful things toward men. Putting yourself first isn't very polarizing it's just generic decent advice as long as it doesn't lead to arrogance or hurting others.

Not pretty privilege, I just haven't looked through her material really but no matter what she looks like from what I saw I didn't see anything really inflammatory like you see constantly with FDS. Decentering the opposite sex is always a good idea given how much we are taught to do the opposite, although for people who preach this they sure do spend a lot of time trying to look pretty or buff or rich or whatever, both men and women.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/24 09:20 AM
1

She just seems very non-problematic and not b/c like oh she's pretty so it's fine. If this woman was typical of what FDS was there would be no issue with them. FDS and feminist aren't the same and there are some FDS members who are actually anti-feminist in many ways - many are basically traditionalists with very archaic views who hate men.

She seems to have more in common with that Pearl woman or some of those pickmes who side with men and subscribe to traditional gender norms tbh...although maybe she's not as bad. Overall it's more like she's just selling her fashion and glamorous lifestyle....but admittedly I haven't looked too much into her brand. When you say FDS it's a very specific type of platform and sentiment as far as I understand it.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/24 08:49 AM
1

She doesn't seem FDS aligned to me...more just like a woman who is kind of redpilled or traditional-minded in her content as an influencer or dispenser of advice. I envision FDS women as much more blatantly expressive in their man-hating and more complaining and spreading of negativity like the women in twox which is where all the fds women went.

Bc it's meant to highlight how important it is to not have to deal with all that extra stuff and that the main drawback of sex are the hoops you would otherwise have to jump through or things you'd have to deal with in return.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/24 04:06 AM

The phrase is not meant as a flex for sexual prowess. It's saying sex workers provide pure sex with none of the time or trouble that often comes with getting sex with regular people like drama, jumping through hoops, navigating social conventions or mundane conversation.

I'm no longer in love with my best friend She keeps leaving messages, but I will resist. Her spell over me has run its course. Temptation has become nothing to me. I am no longer the man I once was. A new animal has emerged from the shell of former consciousness. What is life, truly? If sheep require a shepherd, for whom does the shepherd yearn? The clock of existence, without a doubt, relentless and unwavering Unto this I reflect, until the next encounter.

There's that unfortunate effect people usually don't talk about that a lot of men become more depressed, paranoid or misogynistic when they improve with women because they realize how shallow all their improvements were and how big of an effect they made. Makes a lot of men trust or respect women less. Not just in terms of looks but also just learning how to convey social value or dominance and the men think "is this all there is". Also makes men afraid of commitment, like "If I can get women's …

/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/24 02:49 AM

Ideally men wouldn't be made insecure enough by women's high standards that they would require validation in the first place. Same goes the other way around, it's like saying it's good for men to be so superficial otherwise instathots wouldn't be able to feel good about themselves.

I can get easily attached to people emotionally sometimes. Sometimes it's a guy even if I'm not sexually attracted to men. There's something endearing to me about some men that makes me want to interact or spend more time with them and it's nothing physical. I liken it to maybe the yearning for a bond similar to that of a brother or father even though I have siblings and a dad I get along with just fine. Some people have called me secretly gay. /r/PurplePillDebate07/10/24 02:53 PM

Sure, you might need game - or just good conversational skills and maybe a sense of humor - to get people to like you. Social skills are a plus but the status you get from being a respected and valued member of a community or circle is a separate plus as well. Just like how you need intelligence, networking, persistence to get fame or career but those are also separate traits/strengths in addition to the resulting status.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/24 02:29 PM

You don't need to be high status to see how status makes a huge difference. You don't even need to be rich or powerful, just be someone everyone likes and then word gets around.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/24 02:20 PM
2

We know this to be true b/c the top-tier women with the most options are with high status or rich men, not men with model looks. These are the women who could get any man they want and while looks probably factored in somewhere you can tell it wasn't the top priority by their choices. Women who prioritize looks above all else are often in circles where looks are the only thing the men could possibly ever have going for them. If you live in a trailer working as a waitress and the guys around you …

The reason I've been given for why astrology appeals to young women is that they grew up with a sense of lack of control over their lives and it gives them a sense of control or order. Which is still weird...a lot of guys grow up like that too in turbulent circumstances so I wonder if it's just another spin on the patriarchy thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/24 01:55 PM

I am friends with about 3...and know of at least 10-15. I don't necessarily always run with a progressive crowd but I move in and out of different circles and they are obviously from those circles. I dunno where you live but apparently 14% of Washington DC is LGBT.

The amount of people I otherwise respect as functioning intelligent adults IRL whom I suddenly overhear talking unironically about astrology and planning their life around it is way too high. Depends on where you live. If you lived in certain pockets of a large blue-leaning city and it's all you knew you would not think they are rare by any means. With young people, usually young women identifying as nonbinary, even moreso.

Maybe it's just the spaces I've frequented in the past but I came away thinking everyone loved femboys and some unorthodox preferences but then realized maybe it's just b/c a lot of the "young" mainstream internet is disproportionately inhabited by neurodivergent or autistic people. I lost count how many times I regarded comments as way out there only for them to say "well I'm autistic" later on.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/24 01:35 PM
2

There are those with gender dysphoria who still remain unsure, and also there seems to be a subset of autistic people who genuinely process gender differently who fall into the nonbinary category. But it also seems to be a label for a lot of women, often young white and liberal, with major issues and resentment toward gender prescriptions and it's a way of rebellion. I know quite a few non-autistic biological women who identify as nb and for all intents and purposes they seem to act just like ci…

Most people have a vice. Debates focus on specific topics like masturbation, alcohol, whatever but basically any time you lose sight of God and prioritize other things it's a sin, according to the religions. So if you spend your days seeking chicken tenders sitting in a chair addicted to video games that's also sin. There are people who have zero issues with drinking or drugs or porn but are obsessed with other shallow pursuits, same deal. The difficulty of being pious comes from losing focus, n…

How is it difficult to be pious? In our hedonistic culture it's pretty hard to abstain from drugs, alcohol, various excess, women or porn. Even if you aren't successful with women it's hard to abstain from chasing or fixating on it. In most religions the sin comes from the mindset and pursuit of pleasure, the actual behavior or activity is less important.

"All men are perverts and creeps" is also a common rhetoric but only the worst women believe it to a tee or act/treat men accordingly. There is not even an indirect insinuation in that post that tall men are more capable of violence than short men either due to size or whatever. I mean there's nothing wrong with trying to convince someone you're right, that's inherently the purpose of a debate, but then people won't admit when they are wrong, lacking in an area, or are disingenuous or backpedal so almost all of it is completely unproductive. Even the "good" and "best" posters are guilty of this at least sometimes.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 12:33 AM
2

99% of people don't "debate" to learn or compromise or find solutions, they just do it to be right or blow off steam. And this is before we get into all the biases, inaccuracies, trolling, and delusion. In a best case scenario it's just people talking at each other. I would be interested to know, has anyone here actually had their mind changed about something significant?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 12:01 AM

I'm saying people only give a shit about you after you cross the line but aren't above ridiculing or making fun of you for trying to get there. A billionaire will never struggle to find a woman, even if he can't get literally any woman he wants. There will be armies of the willing. It's easy for random women here and there to go "yeah i don't care about money, no matter how rich he was" because realistically a billionaire proposing to them is so far from potential reality.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/24 01:03 PM

There was literally a survey done of the most and least attractive hobbies spanning several pages and manosphere specifically came dead last. You're seriously saying you haven't seen widespread criticism and disgust directed toward the RP or manosphere from women? Surely it beats out the number of men saying they hate makeup. Which again, is close to zero, most men appreciate at least some makeup.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/24 12:49 PM
2

I haven't heard any men say they "hate" makeup, esp IRL, but I did use this analogy in a reply further down. With surgery perhaps but I am pretty sure "most women are ugly without makeup" is said by a select group of men online. The overall attitude toward makeup isn't nearly to the same degree as the knee-jerk reaction to the RP or manosphere.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/24 12:43 PM
1

Reminds me how women just automatically think of a relatively fit body as an average body for men without knowing it takes a regular disciplined gym routine even if it's nothing fancy. I want to be fair and maybe use the analogy of men complaining about women using makeup or spending time doing their hair but then they would complain or be taken aback if she didn't do it. Or men saying "see I like girls without makeup" and then showing pictures of women with makeup still on.

Women find the manosphere disgusting, but don't find men who naturally embody the traits prescribed by the manosphere disgusting. They love assertive, physically fit, stylish, socially prolific well-connected men who know all the right things to say but are repulsed by struggling guys who try to become these men by attending workshops or paying for programs and coaching.

When women speak of their SOs like "I thought he was kind of goofy looking/ugly at first but now he's the most handsome man in the world" may be exaggerating but the effect is real, visceral and genuine.

Just like with many things it's not either/or. Women like physically attractive men and they also like emotionally intelligent men. If she can get both in one man, all the better. The way our cultural values are currently and with the ubiquity of the internet and OLD though we do encourage a hedonistic lifestyle of looking for shallow or easily readily appreciable traits and then just as quickly moving on to the next best thing.

I see this thread pop up so often...before a breakup one party (statistically more often the woman) has usually checked for awhile. Also nobody just breaks up b/c they wake up one morning and aren't feeling it. It's likely a long time, months even years of talking about and repeated trying and failing, breaking up is almost a last resort to not talk of divorce. At that point she moves on quickly not b/c she never cared, it's b/c she stopped caring/loving you a long time ago.

It's a matter of degree like the maslow hierarchy of needs it's not something crucial to your body surviving eg w/o water you'll physically die in a few days but it's arguably a crucial component for most people if they want a relatively healthy mental profile and such just like how simply having friends, validation, a social support system is

We do have housing, shelter, food stamps in my country at least I guess my point is just b/c something is a basic need doesn't mean people feel it's a basic right, for better or worse we don't have food stamps for incel men they can use at brothels

B/c the truth is harsh, people always approach sex as either a basic need and therefore you are entitled to it, or not. Fact of the matter is, it's not something as base as food or water or even shelter, but it is something people naturally have a drive for and crave, it's a basic need - at the same time you're not entitled to it because it involves another person's bodily autonomy. We've decided food and water are entitlements in developed countries.

My understanding is the metabolism slowing is very much overstated and can be easily compensated by eating like 100-200 calories less each day, if even that, and it doesn't really apply until at least your 30s. Lifestyle and diet matter the most and the 20s is when you see often a dramatic shift between the naturally active lifestyle of youth toward a more sedentary way of living once people get established into the workplace or with families etc. Also it might be that if you adopt a sedentary l…

I agree, we should be teaching men how to cultivate healthy social skills and networks instead of telling them to be nice and caring and respectful even if those are on their own admirable qualities - just not for garnering attraction. People have been saying that for years. He made it to 75 with his lifestyle, why wouldn't he make it longer. Most of america is fat and you don't see an epidemic of people dying in their 50s and 60s from obesity complications. Median lifespan is still a lil over 75. The problem with these men is they don't have a personality that is attractive to women in that sense, not that their personalities aren't "good". People then take this to mean that personality doesn't matter when it absolutely does. Charisma, social skills, reading the room, emotional intelligence, the type of persona to garner social proof and respect, these are what make up an attractive personality versus a personality that is caring, considerate, altruistic, etc.

It's definitely harder but there isn't a metaphorical ceiling that makes it impossible Terms like glass ceiling and privilege are just there to sound more legitimate and official when pushing agendas. In reality it's just that life isn't fair. Certain disadvantages are simply more politicized, and I'm not saying these disadvantages shouldn't necessarily be addressed or remedied.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/24 02:24 AM

But the 'unpaid' adjective is only used with unpaid labor done by women b/c it infers and highlights that they should be paid or have been oppressed. There's no such push for compensating men so when men do it the adjective isn't used.

The binary shit is by social design. Asian women sexualized and seen as hyperfeminine (which is stupid, so many asian women have large masculine faces and features it's not even funny), the men seen as weak or emasculated, black women seeing as loud and hypermasculine, the men being hypersexualized. None of this is by accident.

Based on his response? He's just saying he's choosing the side that he doesn't think is as bad even tho he likes neither. I'm assuming millions of Democrats did/felt the same when they voted for Biden in 2020, or planned to this year before Kamala took the helm.

I hear a lot of "if it was any other election or period of time I wouldn't be as harsh, but this time more than ever we need to vote Democrat because it's Trump." We now look back on McCain, Romney, the Bushes and go "remember those days when politicians were civilized and acted like grownups". But people were the same way back then. It was "if it was any other candidate I might reconsider but we absolutely cannot let this Romney shithead win." As a kid I remember my aunt breaking down and cryin…

/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/24 03:37 AM

But then as inappropriate as this sounds, wouldn't you want your son to grow up with an aesthetic penis so that he'll be more attractive to women when they have sex? My question would then be why not circumcise him anyway then?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/24 03:25 AM
1

oh absolutely, but i guess 1) I'm not into asian women anyway and 2) it's not really comforting knowing even guys like that can make it and you wonder if there's something wrong with the women. But purely pragmatically if you're looking for asian women, yes half asian guys do great.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/24 03:20 AM

lol well i'm not going to press you on that but it does make me curious, sounds like some pretty specific acts if the presence of a foreskin makes it impossible since the foreskin moves back in most cases during sex
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/24 03:19 AM
1

So why do you prefer circumcised men if you don't want your child circumcised? Is it an aesthetic or sexual preference in the men you date or do you think it's something your kid should have autonomy to decide for himself later?

Right, I think I've just read too many comments from kpop stans insisting they love feminine men to the point of them literally looking like girls, but I get these are likely niche preferences and people like this congregate online and are particularly outspoken.

But these women are saying they're getting zero attention...not even ugly men are looking their way, they feel completely invisible. Not even sleazy low-effort come-ons from bottom of the barrel dudes looking to get their dick wet. According to you, even 300 lb bridge trolls are getting propositions IRL even from some allegedly attractive men, which tells me it's probably something mental going on skewing their perceptions. It is likely almost none of these women on these subs are bridge trolls,…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/24 11:28 PM
2

I'm trying to take them at their word. A quick scan at that sub revealed many posts where the women say they get zero attention and that no man will even look in their direction much less help them when they help other women. Which I assume means even ugly or normal men. How is that possible when your inbox is flooded with DMs? The men can't all be hideous creeps, and even if they were, according to these women they aren't even noticed by the bottom of the barrel.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/24 09:46 AM
2

It’s absolutely not exaggerated. Will all men have sex with a bridge troll? No. Will a 5’2”, 300 lb middle aged alcoholic woman with horrible body odor be able to walk into a bar on a Saturday night and find more than one man, some actually relatively attractive men, willing to have sex with her? All day, every day. I tended bar for five years, have seen it with my own eyes. I've never observed anything close to this. I'll just do the polite thing and say we might just come from vastly different…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/24 09:38 AM
2

"Men will have sex with a bridge troll" does seem to be something people just throw around but is so severely exaggerated. Also, if you read a lot of the posts in places like FAWomen it's women wishing for literally any kind of attention and saying they are constantly ignored or feel invisible. Tbf these women also sound either a little crazy or very crazy so there are probably other things going on there.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/24 09:13 AM

Tbf I've never ever heard women bring up Dolph Lundgren, he's almost exclusively the domain of blackpillers online with masc fetishes. He's a perfect example of someone worshipped that the opp sex rarely ever thinks about just like the female looksmaxxers and their pet favorites over on places like vindicta.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/24 06:10 AM

if i remember your tastes are actually much more reflective of the conventional female gaze anyway....you're comparing it to blackpill online niche guys with BDD and EDs with all sorts of weird fetishes
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/24 06:02 AM
5

Much like their male counterparts, most of them are the way they are bc of mental issues. BDD, anxiety, depression, OCD. Probably some PTSD involved, broken and dysfunctional upbringing and living situations. Trust still that even despite this the men will have it harder b/c mental illness and social incompetence hurts men significantly more with dating.

I'm absolutely sure a lot of these asmon dick-riders are just on the whiny men and fanbase bandwagon, but in their defense there is a difference between a strong relatable well-written female character and one that is clearly forced to fill diversity quotas, check off boxes and cash in on woke culture; it's this trend that's been everpresent the past 5-10 years that is the legitimate problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/24 03:41 AM

In some cases I don't doubt this is true but in others these were women who had already suggested sex in a casual manner or invited me to their place after 10pm and it's happy hour drinks or dinner the next day or following week. I remember vividly one time my two female friends were whispering and after one of them left the other one looked really distraught, down and concerned. I think the difference is men may be concerned of the opinions of others re: their selection b/c they want other men to respect, admire, or feel jealousy b/c of their arm candy. For women it seems like they directly tie their taste to their self-worth and criticizing or disparaging a man they are into is almost taken as a personal attack. For men it's "Oh...maybe I should find another woman my friends think is hot."
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/24 12:50 AM
1

Yes it would depend on their reasoning. If it's pragmatic or personality-based I'd be more open to it, but if it's based on something like looks or style of dress I'd just chalk it up to "well that's just you"
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/24 12:46 AM
1

yeah that's a common cited difference between men and women, although i'm sure men care to an extent too eg the trope of men not wanting to be seen in public with an unconventional looking or fat woman
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/24 12:43 AM
1

I can understand that to a huge extent, a lot of people, men and women, care about what others think. They want people to think they are intelligent, capable, attractive, trustworthy etc. It's just hard to understand why this extends into areas like personal taste or preference in the opp sex...or clothing/fashion. Maybe historically women have just been more likely to be judged for their preferences or acting on their preferences, I don't know.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/24 12:38 AM
3

Women in general seem to care much more about how other people view their taste in men or whatever way they are oriented. They heavily tie their sense of self with it and feel actually insulted insecure if people criticize for example a man they find attractive. It's hard to understand, like if I show my friend a pic of a girl I think is hot and he goes "she's mid af" or "I see you only like latinas" I'm not going to feel anything about it except maybe respond with a jab of my own. And furthermo…

In my opinion the -cel suffix is still adequate even if you're not a virgin as long as you're having issues that prevent you from more sex or relationships with women. I'm saying no matter what the result is just going to be some conventionally attractive dude, why do you care how people respond it's just reddit, and if you're going to post about "omg i just saw the hottest guy" it's not really interesting for discussion or banter if there's no pic to go along with it

You can be both if you do skincare and grooming assuming you already have masc features. Honestly most men look the best in their late 20s, a lot of younger guys still have that awkward baby-fat look in their face. This is assuming they take care of themselves, that's a big if. I don't think the men are taking it that way at all, they're taking it at face value, and interpreting it as gaslighting or lack of empathy. These men may also feel like they've been told their entire lives from an early age by the media or society that they need to do better or become less problematic, hold other men accountable, become allies, among a myriad of things while at the same time being told they are on their own with men's issues i.e. "It's not women's responsibility to support men,…

I'm saying I don't care about the differences b/c my general overall opinion toward both of them remain similar or the same bc they share enough of the views I disagree with. Libs, leftists, I know there's a difference but it's all the same to me. I don't agree with everything she says either I'm just saying nothing is good enough for them. The backlash against Chappell Roan and her refusal to endorse Harris despite still voting for her is a testament to how you cannot win with the left. I mean there are a lot of causes people care about even if statistically they are unlikely to be victims, and they also tend to personally identify with the victim demographic bc that's how people work. For example, single women still campaign to spread awareness about domestic violence victims and donate to women's shelters. I'm guessing kissless hugless virgins don't plan on staying that way forever and many want to start a family eventually, regardless of how realistic a goal that is for them…

/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/24 02:47 PM

Most women like muscles but not to the point of steroidmaxxed. Muscles and body help a ton, and benefit normies more than they benefit Chad relatively speaking. I don't know if this is a thing but some men have said it's easy or even fun flirting with other men bc there's no stake (e.g. a gay man flirting with a straight man or vice versa), when it comes down to it you are on different teams and it's somehow....fun or a way to relieve stress or let loose. A lot of my gay friends obviously know I'm not gay but repeatedly make jokes or suggestive remarks that I like men or could potentially want to fuck men given the right circumstances. I don't particularly care but it's weird that they do it so much...I'm not saying to them "she has nice tits, don't deny it" when a hot woman comes along. Edit come to think of it they would prob actually just be like "omg yes I love her boobs they are so nice."
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/24 05:37 AM

Plenty of gamers maintain friendships and networks with people they otherwise would have never met even though obviously toxicity exists in the context of interaction with randos. In cases of women who are decent looking with a relatively normal mental profile and struggling to get commitment from men (eg those women complaining about dating on tiktoks), what other possibilities could there be aside from her constantly reaching for and feeling entitled to men out of her league? I don't doubt there are exceptions and answers I'm just curious what people come up with.

She's pretty enough in a bland way. My theory and observations have led me to believe a neutral good enough face is sufficient for both men and women if the body (or height, for men) is good. Almost like if it doesn't take away from the other qualities it's gonna be fine.

I've heard research that goes both ways. Also that masculinity can tend to be a novelty after all needs are met, feminine features are preferred in less developed areas as a natural default - or you can interpret them as areas that have less exposure to mainstream media - and is more of a trend or status symbol among more well-off women. Or that the most well-off women with the easiest lifestyle are the ones who can afford to select for the most attractive men. In reality it's prob more complex …

To add on, a lot of Asian standards are what white people would consider ordinary or traits that are common in white people and are otherwise boring or bad, which are large round eyes, smaller and narrower faces and chins and pale skin. A lot of blackpillers in the west would call these guys the definitive incel archetype. It's a grass is greener on the other side thing.

A lot of people's tastes fall outside conventional norms until they get brainwashed by media or other people's influence. It happened to me, the people I think are 10s now would have been bland and invisible to me earlier in life (like Hexum or Matt Bomer, but Lachowski is the exception). I also had a partially asian upbringing so that probably also affected my standards ie overly square jaws, hunter eyes, tan skin are considered ordinary or ugly. So many women say they are particular about the type of men they like visually and then say well maybe these men aren't objective 10s but they are their subjective 10s. If there are so many subjective 10s that basically means objective 10s don't exist and there is limited objectivity to looks aside from very basic markers of health like symmetry, skin and hair quality, relative youth, and so on. I don't think anyone actually has a thing for fucked up skin or teeth.

There are definitely many key traits that will make most women at least give the man a chance due to perceived potential. Social skills, charisma, conventional good looks, success and social proof - the man might not be her exact type but men who have many of these traits are going to make most women (who are looking for men) stick around to at least see where things might go.

There might be a select few insecure men who are intimidated by a woman who makes a lot more than them but otherwise how much she makes isn't good or bad, it's a non-issue as long as she isn't broke or working retail if the man is class-conscious. If anything those in the mentioned group might only feel this way bc they've experienced being looked down upon or rejected by women more successful than them, not b/c of feeling any hurt ego or actual shame for not making as much $ as her.

The generalizations about female friendship dynamics were apparent to me since h/s, and carried on through college (sororities, instagram, friends in greek life who readily admit to this fakeness) and so on once you get into the boss-babe corporate world or other female dominated industries like hospitality, nursing, and real-estate.

My circles are UMC. I still see a general pattern: Men may "have friends" but they do a poor job of maintaining contact or communicating; they are reluctant to open up or seek help from the people who are there meant to be there for support. Women have a greater quantity of friends but a lot of those friends are as I said temporary and seasonal, the dynamic is fake and just to maintain norms and image. For the record ofc a lot of people still have a couple friends they are actually close to, but…

Then you're a rare one. Although you did say what's ugly to you is different to others which means there are still ugly people to you. There's plenty of women on here who say looks matter a lot, or are even #1. Overall my conclusion is that it depends on the woman and looks is probably a function of status which is what ultimately matters; it's certainly not as uniform as say for men who almost universally agree looks are a priority.

How do you come to conclude that "You will do as I command" is threatening physical harm vs simply threatening other consequences like grounding or relinquishing of privileges? Maybe a better way to put it is simply that aspects of a man's personality matter a lot to women even if there is a looks threshold to pass first. Those aspects are not necessarily altruism or integrity, but more in the realm of charisma, emotional intelligence, navigating conversations and cultivating a warm and engaging dynamic. So personality matters a ton, just not in the way a lot of men seem to think it does.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/24 04:18 AM

For all intents and purposes an attractive personality is what a good personality is supposed to be. A lot of people say personality doesn't matter here b/c they have the wrong idea of what a good personality is, thinking it's just when you're nice and polite with good intentions. Not going to work if your social skills, awareness, or emotional intelligence are shit.

It's kind of the same way a lot of women aren't drawn to hypermasculinity even though they do like at least some masculinity in their men. It's not either/or. Some bitchiness or emotional outburst can be cute or hot but not psycho territory or to the point where it makes your life or daily routines and functioning more difficult eg spending 4 hours in a boring department store or putting up with days of silent treatment or passive aggressiveness wondering what the hell is going on.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/24 10:53 PM

If you're talking about extreme traits like those, then yea. 99% of people fit somewhere in the middle. People also like to confirm their beliefs about personality from looks when it's the other way around a lot of the time. Like they see a fat person acting poorly and go "yeah ofc fat people are so entitled and shitty", when it's more like they let themselves go because there's something wrong with their mind and personality to begin with.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/24 10:32 PM

I have a hard time believing the socioeconomic class you were born into has less of an effect on economic standing than your face. Unless we're talking like top 0.001% of looks, maybe. you have two types of women who talk down to men here, one who confirms that looks are #1 and it's time men get a taste of their own medicine, and the other is women who tell men they are stupid for saying looks is #1. There's just a lot more variety in what women say vs men who basically unanimously say looks is the most important.

So which point are you trying to make? That Korea has high beauty standards so you have to definitely be more goodlooking to succeed in dating there, or that hypergamy is just something whiny PPD men talk about because this is a Korean couple in Korea and the guy is fat and average? Even with trolling you gotta be consistent.

He might not think he’s a 10, but he will believe he actually slept with that 10. .....No...he will not. WTF? Most men are not clinically insane enough to believe this. What actually might happen is a small minority of men may find it difficult to feel attracted to anything less after jerking off to 10 after 10. There is again no masturbatory equivalent in terms of enjoying a rich man unless a rich man actually pays and finances a lifestyle for the woman. Hence the example with the rich man has …

Men would be annoyed too if women started touching themselves to Jeff Bezos, and then start deluding themselves into thinking they actually slept with one of the richest men in the world. Then she will compare his finances to her boyfriend’s, even though it didn’t actually happen. That has to be one of the worst analogies I've ever come across. Men jerk off because they are visually turned on by the physical assets or imagery of sexually attractive women. There is absolutely no masturbatory equi…

We've enacted laws promising punishment for domestic violence and abuse. Nobody complains that their feelings are hurt b/c they aren't trusted to not beat or molest their family members and children. Legal bindings and laws exist to protect people in case someone happens to commit fraud or transgression, and the logic behind a required paternity test is no different.

Some people are more entitled or deluded about their worth than others, I don't know the exact percentages. But the bottom line is it's way more taboo to criticize women, way more acceptable to point fingers at men, we are much more ready to lift women up and you can't deny this is going to affect the personalities, behaviors and self esteem (heightened or lowered) of both genders.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/24 12:24 AM

Yes...but we're less likely as a society to tell these women they need to improve themselves ie it's more taboo and you'll be accused of being toxic or bodyshaming. At least in terms of the modern-day left or progressive zeitgeist.

Because the compliments and forgiving-ness toward other women is fake and for conformation and image/reputation purposes. It's honestly hard to find a female friend or acquaintance who even denies this when talking 1 on 1. The mainstream premise is that men are inherently in the wrong, that's why if you flip it and ask women to do better you'll get nothing but outrage. Woman does a terrible thing, women aren't a monolith. Man does a terrible thing, it's either "yes all men" or "maybe not all men but enough men". Or it's "even innocent men need to be held accountable to check other men" "men need to be allies" but also "men's issues are not women's problem or responsibility."

Unfortunately there's no real way around improving social skills except by practicing. This response is to another one of your responses to my comment in another thread, but you brought up a point maybe indirectly I didn't think about. In defense of men, if a man lies about his lack of sexual experience, at worst he's just not as experienced with women as she had thought, but it shouldn't matter if she likes him as is currently. For women, the worst is she has a promiscuous past and lacks loyalty, healthy decision-making and discernment, or is settling for him. Either way though, …
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/24 02:53 AM

Trying to be as objective as possible, but from some of the more polarized responses from men it makes somewhat sense to say: Men are more justified in hiding their lack of sexual experience than women hiding their history of promiscuity due to implications of character. I kind of understand this, although lying is lying.

Yes, but only b/c so many people are working full-time or multiple jobs just to buy basic need stuff and keep the lights on. $ is the solution in this context b/c it's the most common existing context and if surviving wasn't an issue people wouldn't be depressed, anxious, and in fight-or-flight 24/7. $ is the solution but not b/c material stuff leads to happiness.

And it's in women's best interest not to disclose their bodycount. So as long as you don't see it as wrong from the other side as you don't see anything wrong from your end, there's no hypocrisy.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/24 02:21 AM

I just have this feeling the men who advocate lying about lack of sexual experience are the same ones harping on female bodycount, but maybe I'm wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/24 02:16 AM

If you seem to know your way around sex or have sufficiently impressed or passed her tests, it's probably easier for women to just be okay with whatever your bodycount is because at the very least you don't come across as inexperienced. If the tables are turned and it's a guy not knowing a woman's bodycount it's not entirely the same as he wants to know if she is the type to be loyal and that he's not just being settled for. Unless I guess maybe the guy starts to be suspicious b/c she's a little…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/24 02:15 AM

I notice more than anything else the inability to think in shades of gray. Everything is either/or, all the way to one side or the other, but the logic and train of thought they're giving doesn't pan out or lead to these polarized conclusions.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/24 02:11 AM

Similar to high(er) body counts. Some people will judge harshly, others say the past is none of their business or have a more progressive sex-positive perspective.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/24 02:10 AM

For the most part I agree with the exception of a few select white lie circumstances. I'm just wondering if the men who advocate for lying about their virginity are okay with women doing something similar, or vice versa ie switching the genders.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/24 02:04 AM

Yea understood, my OP doesn't really apply to u then
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/24 01:51 AM

But do you condone or understand it?

Of course she wouldn't, in the same way many men aren't eager to volunteer that they have zero experience. For a lot of women, the fear is that even a count of 2 or 3 would invite criticism or slutshaming in the eyes of men and society.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/24 01:45 AM

Are men who say virgin dudes should lie about their lack of experience also okay with high body-count women lying about their history? In both cases, the justification is that being truthful will only hurt you or invite judgment. Edit: Trying to be as objective as possible, but from some of the more polarized responses from men it makes somewhat sense to say: Men are more justified in hiding their lack of sexual experience than women hiding their history of promiscuity due to implications of cha…

Do the men who think this feel it is okay for women to also not be forthcoming about their sexual history since they'll likely be judged for it as well?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/24 01:36 AM

I am not familiar with kpop stuff or the culture around it. But which gender do you think posts more about kpop? I see way more female fans online gushing over BTS than dudes simping hard for female ones. But personally I have a friend who is in therapy largely b/c of her obsession with Harry Styles among other things. When I imagine fans holding up signs in tears at concerts crying "I LOVE YOU MARRY ME HARRY/TAYLOR" it's an image of female fans in the audience, not male.

There are multiple ways to gain social proof...usually for young men it's only really by looks because in other to gain it in other ways you need experience in the real world, socially, financially, industrially or skill-wise etcetera
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/24 01:20 AM

there are female fans who suffer from mental illness, depression, suicidal tendencies (or actually committing suicide rarely) because of their parasocial attachment to celebs eg finding out their guy is taken, broke up, or got himself a new gf i would say OF is slightly different b/c a lot of men dump money for sexual or pornographic imagery, and yes it's stupid, but this type of unhealthy relationship isn't sex specific
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/24 01:15 AM

maybe with OF girls with celebs in general it's def more women/girls who are the ones obsessing over male (or female) stars they'll never meet and compose the bulk of fandoms
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/24 01:08 AM

Highly doubt issues with parasocial relationships, whether it be with celebrities or OF people, is a male only problem.

Not really, it's both how society at large and how women view sex itself (to women). The idea that if a woman only has sex to offer it's a bad thing or she's being taken advantage of. There is no self-own there because there's no implication the sex (or his dick) was bad, and even if there was he was still able to get sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/24 10:58 PM

it is pretty crazy that all men don't think the same

Women will say it's important to communicate or that men are terrible at communicating. Then shit-test or expect that the man should just know what's wrong or needs to be said/done, and if he doesn't it speaks to a flaw of his like lacking emotional intelligence or sensitivity.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/24 09:21 PM

Even if it's the truth it's still a shitty thing to say to someone when breaking up with them, although they might not have separated on the best of terms so maybe there was hostility. But like why date her in the first place then

That's b/c feminism is accepted mainstream stuff so any random woman no matter how she looks, if she's on the conventional bandwagon the chances are high she'll be fairly in line with feminist talking points.

If he doesn't smell or have the other negative physical characteristics of smokers, that explains more, but even so. I would say it definitely lowers his attractiveness in the eyes of many women. If he already "has it", there might still be those who don't see it as a dealbreaker eg they smoke themselves or if they just find him REALLY hot, but it definitely hurts his overall score for a lot of people. Especially if it comes to long-term commitment. A hot guy still being able to get women despit…

This is like saying the expectation for women to be young and pretty after the age of 35 is ridiculous. It's the way it is, women will always like mature, experienced men with acquired skills, wisdom, and social proof.

Is he smoking while they're checking him out? Does he smell or have dirty fingernails or yellow teeth? Nevertheless, liking how he looks in a moment is one thing, dating or spending regular time with a smoker is another.

That's just how it is. Women like experienced, mature, skilled men with wisdom and a cultivated status and network. It's like if you say the expectation for women to be young and pretty after they are 30 is insane.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/24 08:16 PM

men are ignoring them and the only compliments they get are from other women. Men who work hard to lift and get jacked: "First time?"

I've been catcalled by women and told 'run forrest run' by a homeless guy. I chalk it up to male privilege to not be afraid for my life. My female friends always say they can't understand how I can run at night. Honestly probably not the wisest choice even as a guy anyway nowadays...you don't know who the fuck is out there.

If average men, who are a gigantic percentage of the population, are all struggling with little to no options, then the problem isn't the men. At least, not entirely. If this were the case with women we wouldn't be as harsh or dismissive. That's obvious. We'd be asking ourselves what we're doing wrong, what problematic messages are we sending or teaching young people and so on. With men it's "Suck it up, what now? You made your bed."

The biggest disparity in dating occurs between young 20-something men and women. As much as it would be ideal for 22 year old men to be okay with staying single and not obsessed with meeting or dating women due to years of nonexistent experience and maturity, that simply will never be the case nor can I necessarily blame them. This isn't the same as a woman who has gone through relationships with shitty men after a decade or more and finally decided she's had enough.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 02:29 AM
3

Are you talking about people who are a lot older? In my demographic I know zero single women in my circles and I feel a lot of these discussions involve young 20-somethings as well, seeing as how 20-something men are the most likely to be single.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 02:24 AM

The less options the greater the likelihood of desperation for both men and women, but women on the whole have more options at every level so less likely to be desperate. People want partners, people get desperate for partners. That's not going to change.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 02:19 AM
3

Why is there this automatic assumption men shouldn't be desperate vs maybe there's something causing men to be desperate we should be looking at, like how average men have little to no options? I'm not necessarily saying it's black and white but I just notice people reflexively jump to this. Versus with women's issues, it's how we change society and cultural thinking to make it easier for them ie it's men that are the problem making women's lives difficult or making women feel unappreciated.

Which means it's all on her
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 02:06 AM

Probably not as simple as that. If she lacks a better option but it's bc it's a chad stringing her along that doesn't mean there aren't other good less genetically gifted men willing to wife her up who are arguably "better" options for her goals in starting a family and such. Although this is probably less likely to be the case if they have been [allegedly] exclusive to each other for many years.
