I think this might also be part of the reason why MRA's aren't seen as actual activists but just people who angrily tap away at keyboards, because any opportunity to actually congregate and discuss matters seriously is blighted by people who oppose the cause.

This comes off like she is not familiar with what feminism ostensibly consists of, which is probably why feminists took issue with it, and with the trivial digression into how she's 50 percent masculine and 50 percent feminine, it sounds like she isn't making an intelligent counter-argument but she is just not that informed. Although stereotypically, male students would be assumed to be okay with girls wearing shorts, the addition of "teachers" make me think some in this school weren't. Don't you think the message is "instead, teach male students", rather than, "but these are the conditions: teach male students..."

"Vulgar" was the wrong choice of word, "inappropriate" would have been better, but apart from that, everything you've summed up, I agree with. It probably was banned because it might distract male students. No, I'm pretty confident by "over-sexualise" it means to perceive bare legs as vulgar and, consequently, ban the wearing of shorts, which, I think, can be easily inferred by the preceding statement. This type of thing happens in a lot of countries and it is indeed men in power who ensure this, so if it is a microcosm, it demonstrate a good cause, a resistance to this, and nothing more.

Before anyone argues that a large majority of rapists are, the problem is that it implies when a person mentions rapists they won't 'typically' be including women and encourages the public to use another word so they can get their meaning across clearer, when this what they deserve to be called.

If he doesn't mean the movement, then that single sentence is fact. However, in the context, I thought it was obvious he was concluding his argument for the Men's Right's movement. If a feminist ended their argument for feminism with your alternative example it would be assumed that they were linking the statement with what they had previously said and not stating a fact which is entirely irrelevant.

Could you perhaps validate your suspicion with substantial evidence before expressing cynicism over a very traumatic experience someone purports to have undergone, for the sake of common sense? As is noted continuously on this subreddit, a man's imprisonment from false rape allegations stems from people's refusal to believe him or to offer help, and you have exhibited similar characteristics very clearly here.

I was confused about how you couldn't possibly see it as potentially arousing in any way, so I looked at your past few comments and now I realise that you're gay.
